Sorry, there seems to be a bit of confusion here. sweatdrop I'll try to clear things up a bit.
What I said was that It would be nice if they had access to flamers and autoguns. I had forgotten that they could take carbines... I need to review the rules more often.
By VDRing a tau-ified bassie and some russes, I meant that I'm quite tempted to use the Vehicle Design Rules to create variants of the Bassilisk and Leman Russ which use Tau weaponry. Being a modeler, this sort of thing is one of my primary attractions to the game.

Cagalli Yura Attha new from forge world! http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/xv89.htm The XV89 is upgraded with additional armour plating which increases it?s saving throw in games of 40K and gives it a much heavier look when compared to the standard XV8. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/xv84.htm Next, we have the XV84 which is equipped with a combination Markerlight and Target Lock built into the elongated spine on the back of the model. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/xv81.htm Finally, and my favourite of the bunch, is the XV81. This little beauty comes equipped with a Smart Missile system and a hard-wired Multi-Tracker! All three of these new Tau Battlesuits will be available as complete multi-part resin and plastic kits. Included in each kit will be a plastic Crisis Battlesuit sprue and the separate resin components for each kit, including one of each standard Battlesuit weapon which allows a broad range of weapons loadouts to be made. The arms and legs are multi-part and this means that these Battlesuits are very, very poseable! The design of the lower leg armour supports the ankles too, making for a robust model. The XV81,84 and 89 are available to pre-order now for us to start shipping from Monday February 28th. Pre-orders can be made over the phone on our mail order number or online at the Forge World online store a http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/QUATERMASTERS_STORE_NEW_STUFF__11.html i want all of those in my army....and i want them now....omfg those looks sweeet.....all they need is some rail gun support smile

I think that the models are cool but I don't think there worht the reaction thety seem to be getting. I thought about it and I'm gonna see what the rules for them are before instantley buying them. And also i think the last one with the twin missile pods is not so great. I mean it's cool that it has duel SMS (Smart Missile System) automaticley but even so.

Yes, it is copy-pastes from forge world's newsletter. But not everyone subscribes, so I post the new things if they're of relevance once I get the letter. And look at all the "wows" from people who don't subscribe.
So. That being said, they do look very nice - I never liked Tau Battlesuits.

I have two questions.
First, how many shots do stealth suits get? And second how many pints are the pathfinders with railguns?

BaneTheSlayer I have two questions. First, how many shots do stealth suits get? And second how many pints are the pathfinders with railguns? stealthsuits have burst cannons, so thats 3 S5 AP 5 shots, pathfinders cost 12 pts each, and 3 can be upgraded with rail rifle, which costs 10 pts per rifle i think, they can be upgraded with intergrated target lock for i think it was 5 pts, but then they suffer from the get hot rule. also remember that pathfinders need to be attached to an orca or devilfish

ive got a 4way free for all battle next saturday, ill be facing swarmy IG, a eldar list (which i have) and a tyranid force, i know has big and mean stuff (3 warriors and more :S) the eldar list is:
Unnamed400 Pts - Eldar Army
7 Guardian Defender Squad (Troops) @ 115 Pts Shuriken Catapult; Plasma Grenades
1 Warlock @ [45] Pts Singing Spear; Shuriken Pistol (x1) Destructor [15]
7 Guardian Defender Squad (Troops) @ 115 Pts Shuriken Catapult; Plasma Grenades
1 Warlock @ [45] Pts Singing Spear; Shuriken Pistol (x1) Destructor [15]
3 Rangers (Troops) @ 57 Pts Shuriken Pistol; Ranger Long Rifle
1 Vyper Squadron (Fast Attack) @ 105 Pts Shuriken Cannon Upgrade (x1); Missile Launcher (x1) Vectored Engines [5] Spirit Stone [10]
Models in Army: 20
Total Army Cost: 392
i made my list the following:
crisis shas'ui teamleader with fusion blaster, plasma rifle, missle pod and hardwired multi tracker'
6 stealth suits
6 firewarriors
6 gun drones
ok, everything has a reason, first of, the crisis is for shooting up big stuff, it will instant kill olmost everything i can expect with his fusion blaster.
stealth suits for swarmy stuff, 18 s5 attacks equals ouch
firewarriors, well, i basicly had to usethem, i would have preffered more drones for increased mobillity but hey.
the drones... never used drone squadrons before, but i figured using them to pin stuff, then let the fire warriors riddle them. also mobillity will get higher
ill rely a great deal on mobillity here, but i think ittle come together..
so what do you guys think?

Not enough models, only 19 models. Any of the armies could do some damage to you. The IG if they have a basalisk or Leman Russ Tank can Hurt, and even so, a Tyranid attack might have genestealers, which are a big problem in CC against anything that has a armor save.
