biggrin I play all of the pit and field percussion biggrin . I can play with four mallats on my heart heart xylo heart heart the best, the four-and-a-half octave heart Marimba heart second best, and the 3nodding vibes 3nodding last. Bells and four mallats just don't sound good sweatdrop .... I've tried sweatdrop . Oh by the way the reason why I can play all of them is I had to learn them scream . I help the field percussion instuctor with what he does stare , but he doesn't help me mad . heart I'm the pit instructor heart . rofl rofl I just graduated from high school and I'm the pit instructor rofl rofl . xp 4laugh SWEET 4laugh xp Anyway. peace out... for the time being. biggrin

yeah im in a marching band and im in the PIT.some people say pit is not important but thats not true.

I'm in PIT!
I love my section, I'll be section leader next year, and we just got supiors for percussion at the West port marching comp.
We have one of the best drumlines EVER! woohoo for the VDL[and pit.]

Sithlord300 yeah im in a marching band and im in the PIT.some people say pit is not important but thats not true. sorry but pit is one of tghe most important things in band and we make or break what rating we get on competition days. We matter. for sure.

hey everybody! I'm a tenor player. I have been playing percussion for 12 years now. I was in marching band for 4 years of high school. i've had about a 2 year leave from marching band, but i'm transfering colleges next fall so i can play tenors once again. I commute 40mins to school right now, and it doesn't allow me to be in the marching band. I can't wait to play again... oh how i miss the sound of tenors. I was also in my high school's indoor drumline as a tenor player. I have to say that was more fun than marching band if that is possible. I know we were the only school in my county to have an indoor drumline. Do any of you guys have indoor drumline in high school? Any other tenor players out there feel free to PM me or something if you want to talk about tenors, or just say it on this thread.

Um...Yeah...So I'm not technically a percussionist, but I play the piano, and I find playing piano pieces on the keyboard instruments a wonderful way to pass boring lunch periods at my school. I am very good friends with out line and pit though and I love my percussionists. I love the sound of the drum line with, and without the band. I'm only fond of the keyboard pit instruments though. The toys just don't amuse me as much. Um...Yeah...so...HI!

I play Aux in my drum line in the pit and this is my first time playing in winter drum line and I'm not quite sure what to expect.

So I absolutly love percussion, espesialy Snare. Ive been in band for 4 years, 3 of those in marching band. Im the center snare at my high school, and I just wanted to say Hi everyone!...Percussion rocks! xp Feel free to pm me or somthing!

I started to learn piano, and then started to play mallets, so I play my music on both.
