"What on earth? Run away from what?...Tachi, where are you?..."
By now, Takara was getting rather worried.
But I just saw him a short while ago, didn't I? He seemed fine, at least I think he was...What has happened?...
She raised a barrier around her, just in case as she sat down in a meditative position. Closing her eyes, she concentrated on her link with Tachi, strengthening it and hoping to sense something more.

All the rest Takara could feel from the link was a searing white light and intence pain. The more she probed the more painful it became.

Takara hung on as she tried to delve deeper, but the pain became too much. Her eyes flew open as she gasped for breath. As her heartbeat returned to normal, she stumbled to her feet and dispersed her barrier.
Why can't I find him? Is he being tortured? Or perhaps something is shielding him...Perhaps Nissin will know...
She walked back to Ahnthros' fortress, returning to the main chamber. She quietly entered, her face paler than usual and her eyes filled with worry. She stared off into space, simply standing there as though lost in her own thoughts. Her voice could then be heard, questioning Nissin.
"Nissin, is there a particular way for a link with a Terren to be blocked and guarded by a wall of light and pain?..."

Nissin, who had just pulled out a dried meat ration, stopped chewing to look slowly to Takara. "What happened? Light and pain. I suppose..." His eyes rammed shut in thought. "What kind of link? I mean someone could just put a barrier arokund his thoughts so you couldn't talk telepathicly, but that wouldn't explain the light and pain." He absent mindedly took a bite of the ration and pondered.

Takara nodded, considering Nissin's words, her mind working double-time.
"A link formed when a Terren absorbs the energy of a demon, but the demon still lives...I've consiered a barrier, and that does makes sense since it's not that hard to place and all but I'm lost concerning the light and pain...Do you think Tachi's father has anything to do with this? Though he wouldn't hurt his own son...right?"

As Ahnthros listened, he had a thought "Takara, remember when Tachi acted strange the other day, like he was possessed or something? If you remember, he was so intent on killing you, yet at the same time he was fighting it off. also, Obsidian was acting strange if I remember correctly. Then Travis appeared and knocked some sense into him. I wonder, could that have been his father acting through him using obsidian or something?" His face went serious, as if lost in thought

Nissin scratched his chin. Obsidian is an interesting weapon. Tachi has been using it for most of his life, and it has absorbed so mutch energy, that it has created a life in itself. "It's unlikely that Obsidian was being controlled, It is a seperate entity from Tachi."

"Yes, it's quite doubtful Tachi's father has any control over Obsidian, that sword has a mind of it's own and I believe he was trying to snap Tachi out of his father's control...Nissin, is there some course of action you'd suggest we take? To try and locate Tachi, or talk to his father, or something. Surely we can do something other than sit idly by and wait?..."

Simga turned to Takara after her comment "Is there really anything we can do though? I mean, you were prevented from raching him, and at the moment we also have a dragon to deal with as well" His eyes flashed bright crimson for a moment "Though I cannot seem to figure out how Tachi's father would be able to order a creature such as Malisvir or his children"

Nissin smiled knowingly at the last comment. "Truely you have never faught him before." He regarded Takara. I suppose the only way to find out where Obsidian is to use Jiba. Unfourtunately, I have no idea where Travis is..."

"Who or what is Jiba? Is it Obsidian's twin blade?...And Daishi told me he sensed Travis in Auro when he was there yesterday, though I'm not sure if he's still there..."

"Jiba isn't a blade, It's the quarterstaff Travis uses. Also, if you find him, that would be a big step in rescuing Tachi. Unfortunatly, my orders are to stay here. So I won't be of much help."
