Ryuichi sighed with relief as he tucked loose strands of his dark hair behind a pale ear, "Thank God..."
Then he looked at Mr Hart and if he could get any paler, he probably did.
"Uhm... Sub?"
Today was even his first day and he was subbing for a class.
Ryuichi stammered a bit, "I uhm... class.."
He bit down on his lip nervously, he didn't even meet HIS own class yet.
But he smiled anyway, "I'll try."

Jack nodded, a bit of the color coming back into his face. "Of course, Martin. He's a good kid. I'll have to thank him. Actually, he can help you out with the class, too. He acts like a dumbass, but he's pretty sharp. Thanks a ton. I just started work here, so.. well, I owe you, I know. It's just that I really need to go check on Rei."

Ryuichi nodded, "Our little picnic will have to wait." He joked in good measure, "I could look after both mine and your classes at 10... It shouldn't be a problem."
He sat back down and sipped his tea and looked at the other man he didn't know, "Would you like some coffee or tea? We have donuts and strawberry tarts."

"Everyone's probably left by now, except for Mr. Rikau...who's, um, cleaning up all the blood." He turned and nodded. "Sure, it will give Jack the time he needs with Rei." EDIT.

"... Blood?" He dropped the tissues in the trashcan. "Yeah, I'll take that raincheck, Mr. Nakano. Excuse me." He bolted for his office, grabbing his jacket and running for the dorms. He didn't stop for breath until he was in the elevators, his own heart pounding in his chest at the thought of Rei suffering.

Ryuichi nodded and extended his hand, "Nakano, Ryuichi, it's a pleasure to meet you."
And he motioned for the other to have a seat.

He extended his own hand and gave a tight smile, somewhat nervous and embarassed. "Kenji Lan. A pleasure." He sat on the couch, taking Jack's vacant seat. "I teach English and History here." Mrs. Sugashi left her son's dorm, her cheeks now dry as she returned to her "Principle" role. She moved down the stairs and disappeared back into the school. Somewhere. Johnathon continued to scrub the blood from Rei's carpet, keeping a close eye on the boy as he slept. He was worried; Rei was awfully pale and seemed exhausted from having coughed and vomited up so much blood. Poor kid...

Jack hurried into the dorm room. "Rei?" He nodded to Jonathon, not knowing who he was, pushing his hair back from his face, trying not to look at the blood. "... I came as soon as I heard. Is he okay?"

Ryuichi smiled sincerly hoping to ease the other's discomfort and offered him a cup of tea, "Or do you prefer coffee?"
"I teach art and ceramics." he said as he went to fetch Lan some tarts and donuts.

"Tea is fine, thank you." He took the glass and sipped it, loving the taste as it slid across his tongue and down his throat. "Art, huh? I always loved art. I'm sure Rei will be a wonderful addition to your class; he's very imaginative." He smiled sincerly. Johnathon looked up as he finished cleaning the blood out of the carpet fibers. "Yeah...he seems to be okay." He nodded to the couch where Rei was settled in. "He's just severly worn out from the whole ordeal."

"Funny, Mr.Hart also said that." Ryuichi commented as he set down a plateof tarts and donuts infront of the other teacher.
"Art is a truly wonderful thing" Ryuichi smiled to himself as he sipped his own tea trying to get passed his nervousness.

Jack knelt on the floor, very gently smoothing Rei's hair from his brow. "I thought he had a heart condition. He's bleeding, too? And he's not supposed to exert himself, but I invited him to go swimming, I even encouraged him to try out for water polo. I feel responsible for all this." He didn't mention other exertions he and Rei shared.

Lan laughed. "Yes, I suppose he would say something like that." Noncoherantly, he picked up a donut and took a small bite out of it. "Art is wonderful. I grew up all around it. I've been thinking of asking Rei mother, the Principle, if I coule start an art history class." "There's been known cases of blood appearing during the duration of a heart condition. Could be from over exertion, or from ruptured blood vessels before the main artery that connects to his heart." He stood and put away all the supplies he'd used to clean up the room. He threw away the towels with the blood on them, not wanting anyone to dwell on this incident. He came back and set a hand on Jack's shoulder, telling him this firmly: "It is not your fault, Mr. Hart. Rei did it all on his own accord." He saw Rei's eyes flutter and decided it was time for him to leave. "I've got to go. Department meeting; take care of him for everyone. He's the one you need." He then turned and left the dorm, softly closing the door behind him.Rei didn't know where he was, all he knew was that it was dark and that he was exhausted. His lungs hurt, probably from coughing up so much blood. He let out a breathe and slowly allowed his eyes to open. He smiled when he saw who was sitting next to him, "Jack...you came..."

Ryuichi smiled at the laughing Lan, "An art history class?" He nodded approvingly, "That does sound interesting," Ryuichi picked up a strawberry tart, "How long have you taught here, Sir?"

"Hmm...since the school opened up two years ago." He nodded, taking another bite of the donut. "I'm an associate of Rei's mother. When she opened the school, she invited me to come teach because of my exstensive knowledge in the Writing, English, and History fields."
