Castitas Lilium "Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure" it isn't crack.
rolleyes
At least I can admit most of my favourite pairings are crack pairings. Uh. YA RLY. stare Crack= DeiIno, HidaTayu, DeiSaku, DeiSasu, JiraDei, etc. Not-Crack= SasoDei, KisaIta, HidaKaku, etc. None of those are canon, of course. Doesn't mean they are crack. neutral

cannible-peach Mierielle08 brezzie xD Me:: 12: Liked NejiGaa 12.5: LikedSasuNejiGaa (any two together) 12.7: Liked SasuNejiGaaNaruIta (Once again >>) 13: Likes DeiIno, TayuHidan, and those stated from 12.7 >> SasuNajiGaa, huh? I haven't seen that pairing before... @_@ Interesting... I used to like SasoDei more then I do now. I love HidanTayu! On LiveJournal there's an HidanTemeri. Which I thought was weird. But then again I don't like Temeri. Though I do love the way CelticOak made her. AU is definatly Oak's gift. Btw. The pic finally came through. Just thought I would post it and make it easier on everyone. That's Deidara's hand holding the bird. Out of laziness I didn't draw all of him. He's just an arm deal with it. razz There now it does work. Sorry I was orginizing my photobucket account.

I'd say that all slash pairings (both male and female) are crack pairings, mostly because Kishimoto himself is a man and because the manga is targeted towards pre-teen and younger boys.
Personally, just because two characters have had a connection or have been partners doesn't mean that they're not crack. But then again I don't think there's a clear definition of crack, but that's still what I believe.

My definiton of crack pairings are two characters who have had little to no interaction with each other.
Like, for example, Sasuke and Hinata. One of my faves, but as far as I can remember, they haven't interacted at all. So them pairing up is very unlikely.
But a pairing like KibaHina has more chances of happening, because they're teammates, and Kiba has shown concern for Hinata on more than one occasion.
If you choose, feel free to ignore this little input. x3

And it is an entirely different world from fandom. I obviously know that Naruto is an anime and manga targeted to young boys, and I also obviously know that none of the characters are technically 'together', except maybe Dan and Tsunade, possibly Kurenai and Asuma, and such. But whether or not a character is together or not doesn't matter in fandom. If they are slashable, then they are slashed with a chainsaw. If they aren't slashable, but people slash them anyways, that is crack. Akatsuki.Brat: That's definetly crack. o_o You pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Yeah, well, I was kinda lost in this little debate here.
I just felt I had to post that to... possibly clear something up.
Neither side should throw pointy objects at me.
...Please? o.o;

@Tricksy;;
Actually, I did not mean for my post to sound either sourly or like I was talking to you like you didn't understand anything, but if that's the way I came off to you, then I am sorry.
I still do believe that the definition of crack is a bit too big to be truly defined, so... what's crack for you may not be crack for me, and vice versa.
@Brat;;
I like that definition, you could say I agree with it, but I also think that there's several sides to a pairing... y'know.

S'ok
o.o;;
I was really mad yesterday anyways... just.. I dunno, but I'm sorry too... And you could be right, but I think that crack is just the pairing-up of characters who haven't even seen each other... or something along the lines of that.. *shrug*
