Kakashi reached forward, pulling Iruka closer to him by his outstretched finger. He relished the feeling of Iruka's warm body pressed against his for a moment, knowing that any minute now the teacher would overcome his shock and proceed to inflict bodily harm. It was all worth it.

Iruka could not get his words out when he was being pulled towards Kakashi. The warmth of his lover's body covered his own and the teacher couldn't help but snuggle and bury his face into the jounin's jacket.

"Forgive me?" Kakashi asked quietly, hugging Iruka tightly. "You know I don't like Itachi..." He wasn't sure he should be bringing that up when Iruka seemed to be feeling better, but he'd hate to have it hanging over them forever...
Iruka looked up at Kakshi, his expression unreadable.

"...then why Kakashi?" Iruka whispered sadly "Why, when I'd finally started to trust you...
Did you ever love me... as I loved you? Can I ever... trust you again?"
Iruka's two eyes gazed up longingly into Kakashi's one, pleading and distraught. He wanted to trust him, wanted to be told it was all some big misunderstanding, but deep within his heart he knew the truth. How he longed for this all to be a dream! Or a nightmare...

Suddenly, Iruka woke up in shock, sitting straight up. Warm blankets fell away from his shoulders, into his lap. He looked around in confusion. Curled up next to him, slightly squished against the wall where the bed met it, Kakashi was sleeping peacefully, his mask still in place. "How does an elite ninja not wake up after that?" Iruka muttered.
As if on cue, Kakashi's eye opened. "Morning!" He said happily. "Thanks for letting me stay last night and all...what's wrong? You look upset."
"Didn't you cheat on me with Itachi?" Iruka asked, his memory fuzzy.
"Why would I do that?" Kakashi asked, looking puzzled.
"Guess it was...a dream?" Iruka asked, not sure what to believe."
"Guess so." Kakashi replied, yawning. "It's way to early to be awake Iruka." He said, pulling the chuunin down by one arm and cuddling up against him. "G'back to sleep." He mumbled into the crook of Iruka's neck.
((Lol, sorry I ruined the angst...I'm sure it'll come back around rather quickly though...))

Snuggling back into the soothing warmth of his lovers body, Iruka closed his eyes and breathed in the musky scent he'd come to know so well. Yet something seemed wrong... just a small sensation, niggling in the back of his mind, but it was there none the less. Oh how he wanted to ignore his senses and let this moment last even just a little longer, but a ninja doesn't survive long without learning to trust their instincts. Something was definately happening. The sense of danger gathered like a dark cloud on the horizon, the promise of a storm to come.

Meanwhile, across town, Itachi was wandering around grumpily. It seemed like everyone had gone off and committed themselves to someone else and now he couldn't fool around with any of them!

A pair of dark piercing eyes peered from the shadows of the forest, watching Itachi pace as an eagle watches it's prey before the inevitable slaughter... the village seemed unusually quiet this fateful day, the heavy silence pierced only by the occasional cry of pleasure from the ninja's households. The time was ripe as a fruit hanging heavy on the branch, teetering on the edge of falling... but not quite there... not yet. Silent as a lover's whisper, the eyes faded back into the leafy canopy out of sight. The time to strike would be soon, oh yes! And then... then will all of Konoha fall to their knees and serve their new master!

A gopher came out of nowhere and stared at the plotting person. It sniffed for a moment before latching onto said person's toe with it's oversized teeth.
((lol...there are quite a few people I was thinking you could be talking about...so I won't pick one and ruin it))

"Damn it." Sasuke yelled as he kicked the gopher a few yards away. His day was already ruined enough with Kakashi neve showing up for training and Sakura disterbing him as always.

Sasuke turned around copleatly bewildered by Naruto's beauty. That care-free goofy smile he always wore. The cute little whisker-like marks on his cheeks. Everything about him just seemed adorible. But he couldn't let him catch on about his feelings. If he knew how much he ment to him... He couldn't bear to lose him. He lost everybody important to him, he didn't want to lose Naruto either. And if it ment distanceing himself from the young fox, then he'd do it.
"Not really."Sasuke muttered as he placed his had on the back of his neck. "I really should get back to to my home." Sasuke spoke as coolly as possible. Inside he was freaking out. He figured Naruto would be trying to hit on Sakura. After all he was always gaga over her. Never him. Sometimes Sasuke wished that he'd just disgise himself as the pink-haired nin and just kiss him on those sweet lushous lips.
"Come on, I'll walk with you."
"But isn't your home the other way?" Sasuke asked.
"Yeah, so? Your point is?"
