Jillian frowned, still puzzling over that same question. How did one prove one's love - apart from sex, which was supposed to only happen when the feeling was mutual, not that that really worked out in practice. "I suppose..." he said with a sigh. He was absolutely stumped, but perhaps something would occur to him...

Faryn internalized a smirk. "It's settled then. Three weeks," he affirmed, reaching the door to his wing. He reached out and turned the door knob with one hand. "Come here tomorrow for noon tea with Treza and I," he stated in a low voice, "Have a good evening, Jillian." He moved to disappear behind the door and close it behind him.

He frowned and nodded and then departed. The king had had his rooms prepared and there was a hot bath waiting for him. He slipped into it greatfully and then into his bed, finally falling asleep.

As soon as Faryn walked through the doors, a servant boy quickly took his traveling cloak for him and the others began preparing his own bath. But there was one curious element to the room that hadn't been there before. A small girl sat expectantly upon Faryn's black leather couch. A book lie open on her lap, but it was closed. She had sleek silver hair that was grouped into small pigtails, each of which were curled tipped with black. "Hello, big brother," she smiled looking up at the new arrival, though unlike bustling-about servants, she looked like a perfect princess decked in long silver nightgown of silk and lace lined the bottom ridge. "Do you enjoy spying on me, little Treza?" he asked, one hand resting on the edge of his hip as he moved to lean over the couch where the girl sat. "I have no idea what you mean," she replied, pretending to open the book and begin to read. Faryn arched an eyebrow and rolled his eyes before taking the book from her. "That's why my five-year-old sister is reading The Odyssey? A bit old for you, isn't it? I can tell when you're lying to me, you know." The prince placed the book on a shelf before picking the young girl up, lifting her over the couch and placing her upon her slippered feet. "Come," he murmured, letting her take his hand as he walked to his desk. Her feet pattered along the stone floor, accompanying the sound of Faryn's dress shoes clacking softly. He extracted a piece of paper from his desk. "You're going to have tea with Jillian tomorrow, Treza," he informed her while writing out a message. "Faryn! I will not! Why?? Sylvia was going to teach me how to ride a horse! I don't want to meet your dumb boyfriend." Black eyes glared at her pastel pink ones. "Because I'm telling you to. And don't call him my 'boyfriend'. He's n--" "Muertian says he is." "Muertian's a fool. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Since when do you listen to fools?" he asked rhetorically, knowing it would silence her protest. He finished writing the note and lighting a wax candle, he dripped it upon the paper and sealed it with his signature mark. He handed it to the girl. "Now, enough of this nonsense. It's late and I have things to do. You're to give this note to him tomorrow at noon tea. Don't even consider opening it. I mean it. And if he asks where I am... tell him.." "Tell him what? You're in your room? Oh, BIG surprise there Faryn," she countered sarcastically. A trait one might say they shared. He breathed out a scoff. "No. Tell him I'm giving him a chance. That's all you need to say," he told her quietly so that the eavesdropping servants wouldn't hear a word. He stood and led her by the hand to the balcony. He saw the moon and wondered. "Treza, if I told you I loved you, would you believe me?" he asked suddenly. She gave him a near-disgusted look. "Don't be weird, Faryn." And with that, her form faded from the balcony until Faryn could no longer feel the warmth of her small hand in his own and he knew she'd materialized back in her own part of the castle. He returned to the inside, took his bath and then after an hour of preparation, proceeded to give his servants a list of items he wanted packed and ready by 8am sharp. Of course, they were under penalty of permanent petrification should they utter a word to any other servant not serving Faryn. Slipping under the covers, he sighed. Marriage? Hah. It'd never happen. Jillian wouldn't even dare leave his precious nation alone for a few weeks. Love just... didn't exist in reality. The prince fell asleep in his bed wondering just how difficult it would be to find this Haeri character tomorrow.

Jillian awoke some time in the middle of the night and sat up, already fully awake. Why couldn't he sleep? He had been extremely fatigued earlier, but somehow he knew he wouldn't be sleeping any more tonight. He got up and strode out to his balcony, looking out. There was a small man-made lake below him and he looked down at it, wathching darting colors - fish. He smiled faintly. He went back into his room and picked out a candle, lit it and walked quietly though the corradors. The moon was bright, but he needed a candle for inside. He made his way silently until he came to stand before the pond. Carefully, he set a foot down on the water and was delighted to see that his experiments had worked - he was standing on the water. He stood there for sometime, candle in hand, staring down at the fish and letting his thoughts wander.

The young commander wasn't exactly sure what posessed him to stay awake throughout the long journey home. It was far into the night already and they were still about an hour or so away from his nation's castle. Maybe it was just his instinctive urge to protect anything important to him... Petyon had fallen asleep hours previous, curled up against his side, feeling like dead weight against him, which was a disturbing thought to say the least. Red eyes drifted outside, noting the gradual change in the forest's climate. Although it was still relatively cold in the Fire nation this time of year it could never come close to the frigid temperatures the Ice nature dipped down to. Even so, the forests still retained their snowy atmosphere, but simply not as much and the ice had definitely decreased quite a bit. Gloves long since discarded, the officer leaned his elbow against the door, hand propping up his head as his gaze lingered.
The carriage suddenly lurched to a stop, bright eyes widening slightly as he kept a steady grip on the boy next to him to keep him from flying forward. The pressure of Haar's hands unfortunately woke him though, questioning eyes staring up sleepily. "A...are we h-home?" He asked in a half awake voice, blue eyes holding a confused expression as they flickered towards the windows. Weren't they still in the woods?
Haar quickly opened the door to see what had caused the sudden stop, leaving the sleepy boy to muse to himself what in the world was going on. Black boots crunching against the snow, the young man called out for the driver to explain what was going on. The driver merely pointed out towards the middle of the road, a prone figure laying in a thin layer of snow.
"You've got to be kidding me."

Alti lay there, still unconscious. He was beaten and bruised, having tore through quite a few trees before hitting the ground. His dark hair look almost black next to the pristine snow that laced his features and dusted his lips, falling into his slightly open mouth.

Haar was much too compassionate for his own good, or so he kept telling himself as he rushed forward, stopping with a slight skid as he neared the still body. Kneeling down in the snow, bare hands pressed heavily against the snow, Haar frowned slightly as he noted it was the teen from the party. He wasn't sure how he had gotten here in such a state, but he couldn't just leave him there in the middle of the road. Hands starting to sting at the prolonged contact with such cold, Haar quickly picked up the young man carefully, thankful that he was still unconscious. Carrying him back to the carriage, the young commander asked if the cirver could open the door for him, which he did with haste.
"Move over Peyton," he muttered in a slightly distracted voice, eyes scanning the injured teen for any wounds that could be fatal. Although he had found none to the eye he would have to check more extensively once they were both inside. His apprentice looked simply shocked at the new arrival, eyes wide as they stared at the limp man in his master's arms.
"Wh-?"
"Move, Peyton," he ordered, almost barking out the command at the boy who thus quickly scurried to the farthest corner of the carriage. He didn't mean to sound so harsh and quickly apologized in a faint murmur for his sharp tone. He hated how brutal he sounded when he was panicing on the inside. Hoisting the young man next to the boy, Haar quickly climbed up into the carriage, closing the door with a heavy sigh.
"Do I have-?" Peyton looked out of place at such a far off distance.
"What?" Haar looked up from his current quick examination, feeling around the teen's arms and legs for anything broken. Nothing appeared to be, he'd have to make sure later though.
"Do I ...really have to sit here?" The younger teen asked in a slightly miffed voice, blue eyes darting towards the window.
Haar looked tired as he ran a hand through his hair. "I don't mind if you sit elsewhere," he murmured with a lightly amused expression as he gently moved the pale teen , placing his cloak over him, hoping it'd be enough until he could get the teen to the castle. Running a hand through blonde locks, the young commander smiled briefly as Peyton hurried over to his side. "Nnm, just go to sleep," he murmured while keeping a watchful eye on the injured teen's form, letting his arm fall to the boy's side.
"...We'll be home soon."

Mie-tanuki Sayael shrugged. "Nothing much.... Just told him he victimised himself too much and assumed too much. He thought Jillian was out with one of them," he said, pointing to that group of giggling, over-talkative girls.Dax's gaze followed the finger to see the girls just as they fell into another outburst of giggles. It caused him to cringe. "Of all things, I would expect him to know better than that," he commented before looking back to Sayael, a more serious expression taking over. "You told Faryn about tomorrow.. Will he say anything?" He had heard Sayael make it quite clear not to utter a word, but the blonde was unsure how well the Death Prince would uphold his end of the deal.

The bump and clatter of a carriage on a paved rode slowly woke Alti. His eyes opened slowly and he blinked a few times. There was water in his eyes from the snow flakes that had melted on his lashes and he slowly lifted an arm to wipe it away. He sat up gingerly, feeling aches and paines as if his entire body were bruised. He frowned and looked around him - he was inside a carriage with a dozing boy and that brown-haired man he had seen before... He frowned slightly, wondering what he was doing in such a place.
**
He shrugged. "If he says anything about it, he'll regret it. I said rather more than words earlier. After all, my magic is of Darkness." He smirked slightly, that mysterious expression present in his eyes. "He won't get off clean if he snitches - that's why there are so few liars in my kingdom," he said with a grin.

"Sure, yours may be of darkness, but he does have the magic of Death, Sayael," Dax informed. "They're both equally creepy, if you ask me." A grin then creeped to the corners of his lips. "But I guess you apparently are the 'goth prince', as Faryn had so claimed. That would mean you get full rights to being the creepiest of them all."

He frowned. "I don't look like one, though. I hardly ever wear black, despite my family trying to make me. And I don't find skulls too appealing. Faryn's more the goth prince than I am for sure!" he said, pretending to be offended, a slight pout on his lips.

"It must be your unsocial, 'I hate the world' kind of attitude that gave him the impression," Dax said sarcastically, though he thought Sayael to be quite different than that. "Even I was almost fooled. But with all joking aside, I may regretfully have to leave the party soon. It may take me a bit to pack all my needed belongings for tomorrow, and I would hate to be caught up late in the night shuffling around trying to find my clothes."

He smiled. "Want me to help you pack? There may be some specific things you'll need to bring that you might not think of," he said with a slight shrug, hoping to suggest that he didn't mean any sort of insult to the one person worth talking to at this party. He yawned slightly. "Hnn... I'll be heading out, too, in any means. I think I've got a room here and even if I don't, I can probably bully someone into giving me a room since I'm so dark and scary."

"Please, if you don't have a room, there's no need to maim the other guests. I've shared a room with a countless number of my cousins before, both young and old. I'm sure I could handle a Prince of Darkness just as well. That is, if you don't have chronic privacy issues or anything," Dax said. "And I'll gladly take you up on that offer. Seeing as how I'm only a novice at the whole 'travel' thing, I probably would forget the most essential items."
