Name of Your Band: Hilltopper Symphonic and Marching Hilltoppers

What Your Uniform Looks Like: Symphonic band uniforms are long black shortsleeved dresses for the girls and tuxes for the guys, and marching band uniforms look kind of like the old Star Trek uniforms: green with a black, silver, and green sequin V design on the front (black with V design for drum majors), oh, and don't forget the black spats and coffee can hats with black and silver plumes! Our old one's were green Mexican mariachi uniforms with gold braid. When we heard we were getting new ones, we tried to get knee boots, elbow gloves, cowboy hats, and capes.

Favorite Song to Play: MALEGUENA!!! (Yea, our MB music selection this year was Spanish stuff, including La Suerta De Los Tontos, Maria (Blarg!), Late in the Evening (Yay!) and Maleguena! There was a lot of skanking, and in Malequena, the "sperm shape" where we all wiggle waved...)

Interests: Band, theatre, band, reading, more band, other music, even more band, ... yea, that's about it...

Personality: I'm rather quiet around people I don't know, but kind of crazy around those unfortunate people who do know me... I love taking risks and being the daredevil of the group.

Any other Additional Info: My band just got third place and best woodwind section in the Lemont contest, with a 96.33 (9-something.33) out of 100 (one of the judges gave us a perfect 100)! And although I'm second chair, it's really only 'cause I'm a Freshman and the other bassoonist is a Junior, and of course my band director wouldn't dreeeam of taking away that spot from her! Grumble grumble... Ah well, everyone else knows she's not as good as me, and it's totally obvious that my band director's starting to regret putting her first. Yea, I've kind of got the ego of a trumpet player or a pianist...

Favorite Song to Play: I really loved our marching music this year, we played songs from Wicked the musical. My favorite had to be Defying Gravity.
