"...giselle..." Nero's voice tried to calm the small still life girl.
"No. She became something different! I'm going to talk to Vina. She was my friend, I don't think she's just die. I'm going to find her!" she demanded.
Cinder remained quiet as they spoke. Conflicted but also sympathetic.
Nero stood. "...dangerous..." he spoke calmly again but didn't make any further moves.
Giselle gave a defiant look, tears running down her colored skin as she stood and ran out of the house anyway.
Nero sighed, "We are okay. No problems. Took Marion. She's upstairs. Mercy is okay. Eat and relax. You deserve it. Thank you." he spoke and got up to leave, bowed his head slightly and exited the house calmly.
Cinder looked to Ree. "Are you okay?"
Katarina then came back in with a plate of food. Eggs, sausage, diced potatoes, and toast. She paused as she came back into the room, noticing that Nero and Giselle were gone before she continued to set the plate in front of Ree with a fork and napkin. Taking a deep breath, she say across the table from him.
The orange hair boy kept watch, glancing back to Katarina then looked to Ree and paused. "You're.. not a true race..." he muttered with curiosity.
"He's a mimic race like Giselle, I think."
"...he's made of metal..."
Katarina quirked an eyebrow then looked to Ree questioningly.

Ree looked quietly after Griselle wincing in pain as he looked down at his fingers while he suffered a bit of double vision. Different? her spirit was brighter the few times he remember seeing it through the cat...she was more centered from their last conversation. She could still be a spirit wandering around the isle... he would need to check around before he left... and before the cat disappeared. He wasn't sure he was going to use that ability that often any more... Looking up he stared quietly between Griselle and Nero with only a faint sad smile. Ashral had made a friend, he wondered if she knew. Turning to look at Nero he nodded quietly and glanced toward the stairs at the mention of Mario and Mercy silently.A flicker of nervousness which he squashed down. He felt a faint flicker of worry as Griselle and Nero left but the battle would be fresh in everyone's mind.. hopefully that would stop any problems and there was still Nero. They should be fine. Taking a very slow breath he let it out again just letting his mind go blank.
"Are you okay?"Ree smiled ever so faintly as no..he was not okay, not in the least. "Eventually" he muttered quietly looking to the good and nodded to Katarina. "Thanks " he said quietly looking up at her then reaching out for the fork as he speared one of the potatoes and quickly put it in his mouth before he could put it down again. The food smelled great, he just wasn't hungry even so he should be. He glanced up toward the orange hair boy and nodded slightly swallowing then blinking in confusion at the metal comment. Metal? Reaching up he lightly touch the ornament on his head and frowned. That was the only metal he could think of unless... well considering the strangeness of this island...
"I'm a meta" he nodded in agreement. "I don't know what you mean about metal other than this" he touched the ornament again and lowered his hand. "Unless you can see my item..." he said with a faint frown even if that didn't explain being made of metal as he lowered the fork, avoiding the food again. " that one of the main differences between a true race and a meta. We absorb an item when we are little and take characteristics from it" he explained quietly, grabbing at the chance to distract himself.

Cinder forced a reassuring smile but overall worried. She nodded in response to him and didn't ask any further questions. Staying quiet to let him eat.
"A meta?.." the boy confirmed. "Metal in your body. I can sense it." he then moved to unwrap one of his arms from the bandages. From the wrist to elbow was covered in a dark silverish metal. "It's my affinity as a magi."

"... Oh! oh I see" there was a slight crinkle of his eye as if he would have normally laughed at suddenly putting two and two together. The teen wasn't a magi version of Griselle he must be sensing the shards of metal within him.. which means... He focused cat-like eyes on the exposed metal arm then up at him with a flicker of hope instead of fear or even disgust some humans might have shown. He had been hoping to ask Marq eventually or even if there was a surgeon on the island as reluctant as that made him. "Shards from a grenade, maybe bullets. I am continuously healing ..." he paused as he focus intently on the magi. "Can you take it out?" he asked quietly.

The boy blinked at Ree's reaction but otherwise remained calmly. He took one last glance out the window before moving to Ree and sitting next to him at the table. "I can move them, yes. So essentially I can remove the metal. Though I can imagine it might hurt. Is that okay?" he asked politely, the almost grayish freckles that dotted his skin now visible that close.
Katarina watched them carefully, then looked to Cinder curiously.

".... Yes" he said quietly as he looked back at him, noting the greyish freckles with a hint of curiosity. "I can't keep it in me, it is already to close to vital organs" he explained, wondering.. and pushing the thought away. "It might be easier if I was laying down " he continued as he got up slowly and used his wings to support himself against the table as he looked around then focused on them. "Also anything you have that you won't mind getting blood on?" the last part was said with a hint of nervousness as he would have to stay conscious to keep on healing. Meaning one by one, not to quick but not slow either.

The boy nodded in understanding. "I can try my best to keep it from hurting, but no guarantees, I've never done this before." he responded calmly, trying to give Ree a reassuring smile.
The boy got up as well when Ree did and watched him carefully. He nodded again at the suggestion of laying down. "That would be best." he agreed then paused at the question of blood. Thinking for a moment, he looked around.
"There is always the bathtub." Katarina suggested flatly with a slight frown.
"I can heal a little..." Cinder spoke up quietly.
"It's up to you. I can do it upstairs in the other bedroom and just change the sheets afterwards, it won't be a problem." the boy suggested before waiting for an answer.

"Bathtub..." he repeated with a blank look, the position might help or make it worse if he could even fit in it. "okay lets try the bathtub" he muttered already thinking of every movie her had seen of a bathtub full of blood and regretted it. He glanced at Cinder and looked faintly hopeful with only a flicker of embarrassment. " That would be great ...especially if I don't manage to finish healing the wound completely" meaning if he passed out. "Lead the way" he said quietly.

"Okay.." the boy nodded and then moved to the downstairs bathroom and opened the door to let Ree and Cinder inside.
Katarina decided to stay behind and take over for watching through the window silently to make sure nothing would become a threat.
The boy began to unravel the bandage on his other arm and collected some towels just in case as they might need them.
"Do you need help taking off your clothes?" Cinder asked, averting her gaze slightly with an almost embarrassed look.
The boy didn't even seem to be paying attention at the moment as he gathered what he may need to try to get the metal out of Ree's body.

Ree looked embarrassed as well because these were not doctors or nurses they were just children who likely haven't seen that much blood or anything else. " I can manage it, thank you" he said pulling at his power which felt sluggish as he pulled one of the towels, steeling himself as he put it by him then pause as he moved to take of his shirt...okay maybe yes. " Just the velcro between the wings. Unhook one of the clips just under the trailing feathers then pull it hard at the fabric" he said tiredly but his face was faintly flush, afterwards he will just cover his lower half and take off his pants, yep underwear is staying on.

Cinder nodded and took a step back to let him do what he needed. The boy seemed unphased by it, more concentrated on being as calm about it all as possible even if he might have been a bit scared.
When Ree changed his mind, Cinder nodded again and moved forward to help him, doing just as instructed then stepping back again.
"Lay in the bathtub, and I'll start. Tell me if you want me to stop or if I need to slow down. I don't want to hurt you more than I have to." the boy spoke softly then looked to Cinder. "Please let us know if you need to take a breather or run out of energy."
"I'll be fine." Cinder answered and waited for Ree to lay down and for the boy to begin. A flush of color to her cheeks as she tried to keep her gaze averted for right now until they started.

Ree waited as she took of the clip on his back, staring straight ahead with only a faint blush as she finally finish. Only then did he pull it off with a slight tug her or there as he used telekinesis to wrap the towel around his waist and hold it with a hand before nudging his pants down. Once that was done he got into the tub slowly, gasping softly as the position push some of the piece deeper inside, shoot. "O-okay." he said with heavy breathes. " Pull it up now, .slowly but still a steady pull. One..at a time. If I pass out or can't heal..Cinder..take over " he said looking between them. "Any questions? " he frowned faintly, looking between them intently. There was no back up unless they knew another healer who wasn't nearly dying..or busy healing the injured at the estate.

The boy nodded and moved to kneel by the bathtub. He waited for a nod from Cinder before beginning. He closed his eyes and took a deep but slow breath as he started on the biggest pieces first, moving the slowly outward. He focused on one piece at a time, while also trying to keep the others stable within him in case he moved or jolted from the pain.
Cinder knelt down by the tub as well and simply watched, trying to keep tabs on the situation should she need to take over on healing him.
They continued in this fashion as long as Ree didn't tell him to stop.

Ree clenched his teeth, back arching back in pain as he tried not to writhe around in pain as he let out a soft uncontrolled whimper. Pushing himself to concentrate enough to heal up after the shard that was just dragged through his insides. Giving a few minutes to rest he nodded for the next, tensing even when he knew he should relax. He went on this way as much as he could, waiting for the next one as his mouth bleed from where he bit into his lip at one point. Until there were finally no more....and promptly passed out.

As soon as Ree passed out, Cinder went to work healing what she could, whatever was left.
The boy frown, he had told Ree that all the metal was out, but that would be a lie. A lot of the metal had somehow fused with his bones and couldn't be removed. Thankfully, it shouldn't be a problem, only a slight concern. What was important is that all the shrapnel from vital areas were removed.
The boy exhaled heavily and took up towels to clean up what blood he could off of Ree, using water from the faucet to help, aided by Cinder's water powers to help in washing away the blood.
He moved to pick up Ree and took him into the empty room to put him in the bed and then wrapped his own arms up, his arms much more jagged from the pieces that had been removed now attached to his arms, a small frown creasing his lips.
"I'll stay with him." Cinder offered as the boy nodded and left the room to go further clean the bathroom.Cinder sat by the bed and waited patiently. Eventually she fell asleep with her head laid on the edge of the bed until morning came.

The morning came, sunlight beaming through the window, it was almost peaceful in a way. But serenity was only temporary. Someone slammed the door downstairs and and someone sobbing uncontrollably. There was a scuffle. Two females yelling, one of them hysterical in nature, panicked and seemingly trying to leave despite the others attempts to stop them from going back outside.
Outside there were panicked yells and screams, a few people running back to their homes. The roars of an angry bear in the distance as destruction waged in the distance.
There was another slam of the door downstairs, this one woke Cinder, and the downstairs fell to a soft clamor of light crying and reassuring voices. It only lasted second before the obvious voice of Giselle cried out in distress for Nero, the demand to go to him. She was screaming again, desperate and afraid. There were two female voices trying to calm her down now to no avail.
Cinder looked worriedly to Ree then got up to look out of the window, a hand pulled up to her mouth as she watched people fleeing from a scene just out of view. She began to fear if Lena was still alive and attacking as she was frozen in fear. Should they run or hide? Or would they be safe? She wasn't sure.
