"I could go for a drink of you, to start with," Luca joked, a small chuckle following the quick flirt. She did a quick scan over the back of the menu, deciding for a second as to what she really wanted before turning her attention back to the waitress. "I'll take some sprite, please." The woman wrote down the two girl's drinks, before disappearing behind the counter where the kitchen was located. Relaxing in the booth, the young woman sat back and started giving the menu a proper look, the laminated paper unfolding into one page after another, stretching almost across the table as she spread it all out. She read through all of it, making note each time something stuck out to her while they waited for the waitress to come back.

Sylva froze for a moment, lowering her menu down when she'd heard Luca's words. Was Luca...? Maybe? Sylva thought back a bit, yea.. she certainly did come off a bit butch... Well, not like it entirely changed Sylva's opinion of the woman, she too swung that way. Raising her menu back up, the red-head eventually spotted what she wanted. A decently prized meal, and nothing to fancy. When the waitress returned with their drinks, she set them down beside the waters, then pulled her little booklette back out. "Alright, my little sweet things, are you ready ta' order? Or do you need a bit more time?" She inquired with a slight 'hmm' and a rather cunning grin displayed across her lips.

Luca didn't seem to notice Sylva's realization of her preferences, too busy examining the food on offer. She thought she mentioned it already, despite it being something that slipped her mind. She only looked up when the waitress returned, setting down their drinks and asking for her orders. The young woman couldn't help but chuckle at her companion's musings, before the older woman turned to her.
"Heh, darn," she joked, "Well that's a shame. Guess I'll just have to settle for this though..." The swordswoman scooted a little closer to the end of the table, angling her menu into the woman's view as she pointed to each of her selections. It went on for a short while, until she finally reached the end, and she handed off her menu to the woman.
A few minutes later, the woman and two others emerged from the kitchen, carrying several trays of food with them towards their table. Luca unconsciously licked her lips as all the different smells hit her, watching as they set down one meal after another. Sylva's came first, of course--Just the one burger and the fries that came with it. Then came Luca's; a fresh stake that barely fit on the plate, her own order of two burgers and some fries, a few slices of a freshly-baked pizza, a bowl of the soup special the waitress mentioned earlier, the very cryptically titled "Blue Dragon Meat" that was half-hidden between pages, coming in the form of yet another steak, and a simple entre of garlic bread. Her own little feast, taking up almost her entire half of the table when it was all set down.

Sylva was met with yet another wide-eyed moment. Watching Luca order what had to be half the menu, she leaned back in her seat once the waitress walked away. "Sheesh... and I thought I was starving..." She mused, grinning over towards Luca. "Just how rich are you? I'm starting to think I don't need to pay you back." The red-head added, picking up her root beer, sipping it lightly.
A few minutes later, the waitress was returning, with two other cooks behind her. Several of the customers had even turned to stare as they all laid the food down on the table. Sylva quickly snatched up a fry, blowing on it to cool it down. The Waitress and her helpers bid them a good meal, then moved back towards the kitchen. "Where are you going to pack all that?" Sylva pondered, leaning forward to look over the wide assortment of food. Luca had ordered enough to feed almost 1o people.

Luca couldn't help but chuckle at Sylva's assessment, scooting back into her spot when the waitress took her leave. "I told you not to worry about it, didn't I?" she joked, before reaching over for her own drink. "But, I wouldn't exactly call myself rich or anything. I've only got the money I've earned with me, after all. Traveling's expensive, so I'd spent the past three years up till now working." She took a sip of her drink, a small grin on her face and a hint of pride in her tone. "I saved up all that I could so I wouldn't have to scrape by battling trainers for fight money just to pay for everything. Obviously, my resources aren't so vast that I can eat like this all the time, but this place reminds me of Unova."
Through small sips, Luca had put about a quarter of her soda into her system when food finally arrived. Grinning and rubbing her hands together, the swordswoman took all the food the servers handed her, seemingly undaunted by the sheer amount of it all. "In my stomach, where else?" She chuckled, starting with the first stake presented to her. The young woman melted a little in her chair as she took her first bites, finally sitting back and getting comfortable. "Anything I can't eat tonight I'll pack up, put in a to-go box, and eat it for breakfast in the morning. And feel free to try anything that catches your eye."

So Luca worked before becoming a trainer? Sylva sort of wondered what all she did for money. That sword likely had something to do with it. A body guard? Assassin? Both? Well, Sylva didn't feel like prying anymore, lest her own life come up and she was forced to think up a lie. Watching Luca melt a bit when she took a bite of her own food, Sylva quickly dug into her own, snatching up a few fries, adding ketchup and mustard to her plate to dip her fries in. After she scarfed down a few fries, she went to her burger, nodding her head to Luca's response. Truthfully, Luca's prior career choices were nothing quite so uncommon, but she didn't feel the need to elaborate. It didn't even occur to her that the redhead might've thought she did something strange or out of the ordinary and just left it at that when the topic shifted to food. The swordswoman busily chowed down, swallowing parts whole without chewing, and before long, she'd moved on from the steak to her own burger. "I think that could work out," she agreed, stopping to take a sip from her drink. "If I remember what I read, she should only have two pokemon to fight with, and I doubt they're exceptionally strong. Odds are we won't start having some real trouble 'till the next gym or after."

"Only two?" The red-head pondered, going back to her burger. "Well, it's a good thing gyms are mostly mono-typed." She added, Leaning back some as she started to take bites of her burger. It wasn't for awhile until Sylva spoke once more, sipping at her drink to push everything down her throat so she could breath properly. "I think Rolex is ready, and Scarselli can handle 'imself I think." Sylva mentioned. "Why not take a whack at it now? If anything I lose, and have to take the challenge again." While it wasn't uncommon for trainers to admit they weren't... trained well enough, some found that rather wimpy. One had to go in knowing they'd win, even if they were under-leveled our outnumbered. Sylva didn't really get this gig to train the very best, it was a means to give her something to do while she was on the run. If she had to stick in Cerluean for a long time, she wouldn't mind. "What about you, Luca? I think your Ivysaur can handle 'imself too, same with Pri, and the Dragonite. Man, you've got some tough looking Pokemon..." Sylva muttered. Come to think of it, she didn't recall seeing much else in terms of Luca's Pokemon. She knew Pri, Izalith and Seath, but she hadn't seen much of anything in way of Luca's other mons.

Of course, it'd be bad if they got too cocky, but Luca was confident they wouldn't be caught off guard by any surprises. After that, they started to focus on eating again, Luca quickly working through the plate of fries and both burgers. Priscilla suddenly emerged from her ball when she got to the pizza, interested in having a taste. The swordswoman handed her a piece, letting the psychic-type take tentative bites at the pie, topped with some curious mushrooms.
The young woman was almost halfway into her soup when Sylva spoke up again, wondering if they should go ahead and give the gym battle a shot. "I don't see why not," She replied, taking another sip from the drink she was quickly running out of. "We'll be over there anyway, so it won't hurt to give it a go. Priscilla picked up a move that'll be real helpful too back at Mt. Moon." Luca's smile grew just a tad more, and took on a hint of pride at her companion's assessment, more than happy ot agree. "Mhm, they're pretty great, huh?" She chuckled a bit, setting down her drink and reaching for the bowl of soup again. "Though, honestly, I'd love 'em even if they weren't that strong. Priscilla especially, and she's even got that big, fluffy tail now."

"Say, you look like you're into that ancient artifect stuff or what have you, jus' so happens this little rinky dink city is giving a show for the next few days. A display of different armours or somethin'. " Stepping away she set the plates down on the nearby counter and reached across to grab a pamphlet from behind the counter. Turning around, she held it out for the girls to take. "Someone mentioned handing this out to those who looked interested." Sylva took the intitiative, no longer eating for the time being, and accepted the pamphlet, the waitress then took her leave, giving a quick wink to the girls before doing so. "International armour? Gulping down the last of her soup, Luca set it down with the rest of her empty plates as the waitress arrived, chuckling a bit at her comment on their appetites. Well, her appetite, at least. Still she wasn't about to complain about a full belly, and took the check once it was set on the table. She looked it over, cutting her last steak in half, with the intention of saving it. "Could I get a to-go box, by the way?" she asked the waitress, before the older woman noticed her blade.
Luca's ears perked up when the woman mentioned a display that was in town, a showing of different armors and artifacts, apparently. Her interest was piqued, but Sylva was the one who snatched up the brochure. The swordswoman chewed through a few dozen bites of meat before she responded to her companion, taking the time to sort out the check as well. "I think it'll be cool. Sometimes you'll find some cool stuff in those kinds of things, like funky helmets from a particular knight or some malformed, beat-up platemail a blacksmith whipped up in his basement." She took the last sip remaining of her drink. "We should definitely check it out once we finish up with the gym, if not tonight then tomorrow."

Sylva liked that idea. Giving a nod of her head. "Sounds cool." She added, looking down at Wixon who was chewing one of the bones from Luca's steak. The waitress returned to recieve the payment for the meal, setting down a large to-go box for Luca's meal. "Here you are, darlin'." She added with a grin, then quickly walked away to tend to another customer. Sylva pushed her way out of the booth, setting Wixon back down on the bench so she could continue chewing her bone. Sylva in the meantime stretched out her body, patting her stomach, which had formed a nice little 'food baby' though it wasn't likely to last long. She could feel it though, under the padding of her clothes, she'd gained weight. Before long she'd have to start looking out for herself, to make sure she didn't gain to much weight. Though, with this traveling and what not it wasn't likely she'd end up overweight or anything. She wouldn't mind that either, not like she really cared about her body image that badly. With her stretches done, she aided Wixon down from the booth once more, and motioned back towards the entrance of the restaurant. "Alright, I'm ready to go now." Once waitress came by an picked up the check, Luca shuffled the last of her plate into the to-go box, the half of the steak she saved for later fitting snugly inside. With it in tow, she slid out of the booth and hopped to her feet, stretching out a little as her stomach seemed none the larger, despite the hefty load. Perhaps the question of where it all went was more serious than she thought... Not that she actually paid it much mind, as the two girls made their way to the entrance. "Then let's get on moving."
A content sigh left the woman's lips as they exited back into the warm outdoors, happy to be back to moving around again. She adjusted the straps of her bag and the sword on her back, making them a little more comfortable as they started on their way. She took a quick look around to get an idea as to where they were again, before taking the lead, heading off towards the Cerulean Gym. "I don't think I'll ever get tired of eating at places like that. Something about the food just tastes a bit better when you're sitting down and dining with a friend."

Following along Luca, Sylva kept her eyes on the streets, picking out where they were going, despite not entirely knowing where the gym was. She glanced over to Luca however, when the swordswoman mentioned dining at restaurants like that one, and with a friend no less. "I wouldn't know." She stated flatly, though she quickly caught herself, giving a smile towards Luca. "My family wasn't big on dining out, my friends always came over to eat." She chuckled, looking back towards the street quickly. No, she never ate at restaurants, but she'd been to plenty. she wasn't allowed to eat much more then a side salad. No dressing either. Thinking a moment that seemed to sound a bit sad, so the red-head figured she'd lighten the mood. "Which means we've got to do this more often. But next time, it'll be my treat." With an affirmative nod, the red-head, pulled back her hands behind her head, walking leisurely at Luca's side. In truth, a free meal was always welcome, but Luca... wasn't that bad of company as she'd previously thought she'd be. In fact, she was kind of... enigmatic, which she'd always found somewhat fascinating. Tiffany was kind of like that too, mysterious and strange. She missed Tiffany far to much still... and the thought of her passed lover made her fakeish smile sort of waver.
