One of these days, the corrupt was just going to learn when to avoid large functions like this. One of these days....

Today was obviously not one of them.

"Cyllene. I don't know what's going on but there's only so much I can do..." Azurite murmured. Then, as quick as the words left her mouth, an all too familar weapon went slicing through the air and the Knight fell. "...********." Azurite sighed, running a hand through her bangs to turn and find none other then Buddy standing there. She snorted lightly. "If she's anything like the last General King to get pissed off.. No." Azurite could still see Zink's anger from attacking the DMC. Almost a year later.

Then when Buddy spoke to her, and only her, Azurite's fell for a moment, only to give him a sad smile. "Been there, done that remember?" The white haired corrupt scratched at her wrist unconsciously. "Twice over..." She muttered under her breathe.

Ganymede was screaming, the Knight was on the floor bleeding, Cyllene looked like she was about to lose it herself and to add the mix Wolframite came out of nowhere-, (and Azurite would later look back on this and realize she wasn't surprised. Of course he'd show up.) , and started attacking the Eternal senshi.

She'd had enough.

"You know what. <******** it. You can all be pissy about this later. b***h and moan then. I don't want to ******** hear it right now." She growled, jerking Cyllene out of the way and snapping her fingers. "Azurite Sphere Ripple - Power up."

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Azurite Sphere Ripple! -- Power Up!
The bubble's radius extends to 15 feet and the air heats faster though the duration remains the same.

Inside of this bubble the air starts to heat up and thin over thirty seconds. When the thirty seconds are ended, the bubble pops and the air returns to normal. The effect is also broken if the person walks out of the sphere.

Affects of thin air on the body: Headache is just the start. Symptoms of acute mountain sickness, or AMS, the most common mountain malady experienced above 9,000 feet, include nausea, dizziness and extreme fatigue. Sufferers also vomit, cough or have difficulty sleeping. AMS feels like the flu, seasickness or a bad hangover.

How you react to this is 100% up to the player.

"There." She grumbled. "Are you happy now? Cyllene, they'll either pass out or have one hell of a case of air sickness."

Well, there was no turning back now.

There hadn't been any turning back from the moment he'd stepped out the door tonight, if he was being honest with himself. All the more reason, though, not to be honest with himself.

He tried to say good choice, or maybe you've made the right choice -- but Quartz found that the words wouldn't come. At his most detached, he couldn't bring himself to pretend there were any good choices in what he'd offered this boy. Whatever they were going to do to him, he wouldn't like and didn't deserve. So Quartz just said instead, "Thank you," and heaved a tired sigh next to his hostage's ear.

Of course, getting someone to surrender and taking them captive were two different things. One, he had accomplished. The other, well -- he didn't actually have enough hands to do it on his own.

Instead, he looked around for his General. And there she was, not too far away, just finishing up with another knight with predatory ease. Well, of course. She was in her element here, wasn't she?

"General Schörl," he yelled over, then indicated the surrendering knight with a tilt of his head. "If you wouldn't mind."

Sailor Acrucis - HP 20-5-1+5(4 over heal)- 4 -3=13 Captureable

Acrucis didn't stand there thinking overmuch what he had just said; all she knew is there was no way in hell she would be going with him willingly; and so when he raised his sword at her a third time she stepped towards him instead of backing away; no using the tall man as a meat shield. Even though his weapon was just a toy it still hurt to be hit with and so she raised on foot up with the intent to stomp on his foot with her heel - one injury she definitely wouldn't feel inclined to heal once all this was over.

Being in his space however didn't come without it's consequences as his arm hit her with enough force to nearly send her tumbling backwards as she balanced on one foot.

No, no, no, no, no. This was not how this was supposed to happen. It was supposed to be easy and painless. No.

Cyllene whimpered as General Buddingtonite interrupted the four of them and lashed out at Ganymede- and when Valhalla took the blow and dropped to his knees, she cried out. Clamping her hand over her mouth to stifle her own sobs, Cyllene shook her head frantically. Not like this. It was only when Ganymede offered her surrender that Cyllene's hand dropped and she went to reach for the other blonde.

At least that was her intention, when Wolframite entered the scene. Cyllene looked back at Azurite, desperation in her eyes. She couldn't betray her orders and she couldn't fight her superiors. She couldn't.

But once upon a time, Ganymede and Valhalla were her friends. It was a relief when Azurite called her attack and the bubble formed around them and she watched as they fell under the Senshi's spell.

Taking a breath, Cyllene made the decision to step in between Wolframite and Ganymede, taking the man's kick and gasping for air- both from the kick and because she stepped into Azurite's bubble. "Hey!" Cyllene called out to the two men, a deepset frown upon her face practically nearing a pout.

"Azurite and I found these two, they're our prisoners. We're not traitors," she glared at Buddingtonite. "Just because I don't want to stab them before I take them with me, doesn't mean I'm not following my orders." Cyllene teleported and with the blink of an eye she was behind Ganymede and holding the Senshi's arms behind her back. While she knew the Lust Senshi wouldn't fight back, appearances were important. She took a step back, forcing Ganymede back as well, further from Wolframite and Buddingtonite.

And instead of knocking her out with force, Cyllene began to drain Ganymede of her precious, disgusting, leaky energy. "Just go to sleep," Cyllene whispered. Hopefully between the few seconds she spent in Azurite's bubble and the draining, this would just be simple for once.

General Buddingtonite - 36 HP

Everything seemed to be falling into place, in its own weird, twisted little way. Buddingtonite was looking forward to seeing Ganymede suffer for all of the indignities that she had forced him to endure and to him, there was no wine that tasted sweeter than revenge. And yet, it was denied to him, as the dashing knight jumped in and took the blow for her... Buddingtonite almost panicked and screamed in frustration, but the cry he heard from Ganymede...

It was enough to sate him, at least for the moment.

He pulled away from the couple, making sure to pry his boomerang out of the knight's body as painfully as possible as he did so, and the only thing that kept him from bringing the blood stained blade to his lips and mockingly lapping up that blood were Cyllene's and Azurite's presence. He probably already looked the part of a monster... no need to drag his good image down any further.

"Now, now don't give me that sass Azurite," Buddingtonite said rather tersely, looking her over and pretending to be too angry to notice just how absolutely gorgeous she was. She must have done something with her hair, he thought with the slightest hint of a grin, but he managed to reign it back down as he carried on with his official 'general' duties. "There are plenty of other places to brand, and I don't know about you, but I'd rather not make myself a living canvas again. You're lucky I didn't just-"

Whatever he was going to say was cut off by Ganymede's pleads, and once again he felt his carefully professional demeanor shattering at the thought. He wouldn't have taken her offer, of course, because now that he knew her weakness, he was going to do whatever he could to exploit it. He was willing to lie, but Wolframite took that chance away from him. Like a bat out of hell did Wolframite come, and this time there was no way for the gallant knight to defend her this time around. He wanted to be angry that the chance was taken from him, but seeing Wolframite's passion was both inspiring and terrifying all at once. One would have to be a fool to get in the middle of THAT...

"Well, it's good to see your passion returning, little general," Buddingtonite said with a grin, backing away instinctively and giving Wolframite his space. Now his attention turned to Cyllene, and he was genuinely appalled at her words and what she implied. What nerve, what GALL she had to speak to a General that way? "Pardon me, from where I was standing it looked like you were merely chatting the night away while your peers were putting their backs into it! But don't let me question your methods."

Common sense, however, remained to be questioned, as Azurite had cast her magic on their victims, and Buddingtonite watched as Cyllene simply walked into it. That was it. His face broke and a laugh escaped his lips as he exclaimed, "You LITERALLY walked right into that! What on Earth were you possibly THINKING?"

Aquamarine HP: 40 – 3 = 37

“Aaaaaahhhggg,” Aquamarine shouted quite inelegantly (and unintelligibly) as a heel came down on his foot.

He stumbled back once his arm made contact with the Senshi, pausing a moment to tap his foot against the floor and check for any tenderness. It was sore, but not incredibly painful. Likely he'd come away from the battle with it bruised, but that was tolerable compared to broken bones or a puncture of some sort.

“Not very smart on your part,” he sneered at her. “You should have ran away when you had the chance.”

Aquamarine lunged for her again, this time aiming straight for the head.

Valhalla HP: 10 - 8 = 2 [Valhalla Surrenders]

He heard Ganymede scream, but it was muffled. Everything seemed hazy for several moments before it started coming back into focus, and with it the pain from the wound he’d received at the hands of the red haired General.

Everything began to come back into focus just in time for him to hear Ganymede say she surrendered. “No… please...” he breathed, his hand going to his side to try and staunch the flow from it. There was a strong taste of iron in his mouth that he swallowed down, reaching out with his free hand to grab onto Ganymede’s train, as if that would somehow keep her from being taken from him.

Others were talking around him, but he couldn’t hear them. All he could think of was what they would do with her. What could they possibly do with a senshi they couldn’t be corrupted, aside from kill her? He thought he heard Wolframite’s voice, but it was stifled as one of the corrupted senshi used her attack on them.

The air was hot, to the point where he felt even more light headed than he already did. He felt as though he couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t speak, his head throbbed, and the room spun. He felt like he was going to be sick but once more did everything in his power to hold back the urge.

Please...” he begged once more, barely able to get out more than a whisper, unable to move where he was from the ground while under the magic’s influence. “Take me… I surrender… B-both of us in exchange for Ch-Chaldene... ” he said in desperation, beseeching them, Cyllene specifically, to take him up on his offer. “I-I can’t…” But what he couldn’t do was interrupted by sudden harsh coughs. While his still being alive probably meant the General’s blade hadn’t hit anything vital, there was evidence of internal bleeding, although it was difficult to determine the severity.

His sight began to lose focus again. Valhalla wasn't sure how much longer he could remain conscious...

Ganymede HP: 20 - 8 = 12 Due to the excess of energy drained over the duration of the evening, Ganymede collapses and has now been captured!

Ganymede was not expecting the kick any more than she'd been expecting to learn of Wolframite's identity, and she was expecting Cyllene to defend her no more than she'd been expecting the kick. For a moment Ganymede wondered why she was surrounded by such self-sacrificing people, but between Val taking Buddingtonite's attack for her, Wolframite trying to kick her, Cyllene defending her, and the other corrupt Senshi attacking with her magic, she didn't have very long to think about it.

As the air around her heated and thinned, Ganymede's head ached and the dizziness she'd been combatting all evening quickly turned into nausea. She sagged on the ground beside Valhalla, taking a succession of deep breaths that sent her coughing due to the insufficient quality of the air.

Looking up, staring at Wolframite through the nausea and fatigue, Ganymede's expression took on a look of mingled relief and despair—relief that she'd found him (or he'd found her, as it was) and despite for the truth of the matter, that here her best friend stood in enemy clothing.

It was a bitter pill to swallow. How could she not have noticed? How could she not have suspected? The signs had all been there if she'd only chosen to entertain the possibility. Instead she'd assumed Ladon to be ignorant of the happenings in the city, and she'd kept her secrets with the intention of keeping things that way.

How foolish she'd been. And how terribly unprepared to face reality.

“Wolframite,” she said around her coughing, unsure if the relief she felt was truly warranted.

Dimly she heard Valhalla offering himself up beside her, and though she would have liked to deny him the opportunity, she knew no amount of arguing on her part would save either of them. To be honest, the thought of Val going with her was comforting, even if she would have rather spared him the pain.

She'd already surrendered. There was no taking that back. At best, Wolframite's attempt to wound her would save them from any suspicion.

Or was the act itself suspicious?

Regardless, it was safe to say they were all a little too emotionally compromised to handle the situation as delicately as it probably should have been handled. Bereft as she was and under the effects of the corrupted Senshi's magic, Ganymede could do nothing to fight as Cyllene came behind her and pulled her arm behind her back. Of course, had she the strength, she was unsure if she would have even wanted to.

“Is this what your people do now?” Ganymede said, sounding tired and weak. What energy remained in her was quickly seeping away.

It was unclear exactly who she meant to be speaking to. With Cyllene behind her, Ganymede looked toward Wolframite, yet the tone of her voice made it seem as if she were voicing the question to the group at large.

“You take hostages? For what? Some last ditch effort to regain... some of the control you obviously lack...” her voice grew quiet and slow. “I'd've thought something... like this... would be beneath you... after what the Blood Moon did to you...”

It was a low blow, but she'd intended as much. Call it payback for attempting to kick her.

Before she fell unconscious, Ganymede looked toward Chaldene and said, “Run....”

With that, Ganymede's eyes fluttered once, twice, three times, before she sagged against Cyllene and slept.

Aquamarine HP: 40 – 3 – 5 = 32

Aquamarine was not prepared for the kick between the legs.

Nope, not prepared at all.

He stumbled back and doubled over, almost dropping his toy sword in the process, moaning and groaning and wheezing like making a big deal of it was going to somehow make it feel better. But there was no one there to take pity on him. In retrospect, it probably had something to do with karma and knocking Jet out earlier to claim Jet's victory as his own.

Whatever. It would totally be worth it.

Seething, Aquamarine made a wild throw, sending his sword in the Senshi's direction.

Sailor Acrucis - HP 20-5-1+5(4 over heal)- 4 -3 -1-8=4 Captureable

What hurt more than the blow from his weapon, despite the strength behind the throw, was the fall that happened as a result of taking a step back to try and dodge the toy as it came flying her way. Acrucis took a step back bumping her heel on something, or in this case rather someone, causing her to lose her balance completely.

The sound of her head connecting with the hard floor seemed far louder than the commotion around her between the yelling and screaming or women's heels clacking as they ran by. For a moment her vision blacked out entirely as she tried her best to roll over, an endeavor made more difficult with how disoriented she was never mind the unconscious person beneath her legs.

Despite how many times she tried to blink away the blurry vision, colors and lights continued to swirl around her like some elaborate light show. It felt like she was stranded on a small boat out at sea left to the mercy of a raging storm. Up was down and down was up and for some reason the ground was slanted to a degree it was a wonder why she wasn't rolling down hill.

A break in the crowd revealed a figured in a short white outfit standing as if she were ready to fight and although she wasn't sure exactly who it was, Acrucis found herself reaching out towards her "Ph-" She drew in a sharp breath when her head throbbed "Phact..." a name spoken so softly the Senshi of Prayer wasn't even sure she had actually said her friends name aloud.

Blue eyes drifted downward as she struggled to get her arms under her so she may try to get up once more. Thankfully she had at least gotten her head up off the floor when a civilian who was running from a houndish looking monster kicked an object in her direction; his weapon... oh what luck was that? Cold metal bangles bumped against another as she reached out and wrapped her fingers around the plastic hilt.

Not that fast movement was ever a smart idea when you're about ready to fall over, Acrucis haphazardly swung the sword behind her and hoped to God he was close enough for it to have hit him and if not then for him to still be keeled over in pain from the low blow to the nut sack; either would suit her situation just fine.

Super Chaldene: 32/40

He had been standing next to Ganymede, finding out who the two corrupted senshi were, and had been in the case of the blond, and then hell broke loose. From a General jumping in and attacking Ganymede only for Valhalla to take the attack, shoving Ganymede out of the way and causing him to jump away from Ganymede so he wasn't hit into, to a Lieutenant arriving and attacking Ganymede and a corrupted taking it.

That part, the corrupted taking on the other corrupted senshis attack and the Lieutenants attack, was almost lost on him due to the intense and sudden dizziness which hit him and churned his stomach. The fact that if he moved or turned his head caused the room to move at an odd, and uneven, pace made his stomach complain in a way which had him trying to slow his breathing and calm himself so he didn't vomit on the floor, or someone else. But then it was gone and he was staring at Ganymede and Valhalla. At some point he'd caught the words of surrender from them both and even the last words from Ganymede - run.

"I - I can't..." Nervous as he was he bit down on his bottom lip and shook his head. "I'm not running." He might have run before now, before seeing what was to come, but he'd seen that and it had changed things and he couldn't run. They were surrendering and for what? His safety and that of others, but his more so because he was right here with them? He couldn't run off and leave them here and then green eyes turned to focus on the laughing red haired. Green eyes narrowed as he risked it, given how many of the opposing side were gathered around him, and brought both his hands up and folded his fingers together in a gun like fashioned before blowing across the 'muzzle' and whispering the attack. He hadn't used this attack, or had he and he just couldn't remember? But the words came with ease. "Chaldene Wisp's Secret." He may not have some big powerful, and painful, attack like some senshi but at least his attack would hopefully handle the General for the moment and reduce the number of enemies around him at the moment, he felt really nervous with so many around him and a downed Knight and Eternal senshi.

Turning his eyes from the red haired General, figuring he'd be rather distracted and out of commission for a few moments, his attention went to the two corrupted senshi who were at least equal to him and rank and not above him. One of them Ganymede had said was part of their team, the blond one, and he watched her carefully. This was upsetting her greatly. why was she corrupted when this obviously bothered her so?

Sailor Scout Attack: Chaldene Wisp Lure.
Raising his hands, much like a child would when imitating a gun with their hands, Chaldene blows at the tip sending little wisps of blue energy at his opponent. These little wisps of energy would appear to do nothing at first, as they'd vanish upon "impact" with the opponent. But then the opponent would start seeing a wisp of light just in their peripheral and it would last twenty seconds. This wisp flashing in and out of being and in slightly different places, it would certainly be enough to distract most people. And that's all it is - a distraction, a distraction which can be used twice per battle.

If Chaldene is attacked the spell is broken and if the opponent is attacked it breaks the spell as well, snapping their attention to where it needs to be, for obvious reasons. If someone attacks the wisp it does nothing, the wisp will simply reform - it is after all just a wisp of light that vanishes and reappears anyway.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Chaldene Wisp's Secret.
This attack would go the same as above only this time the attack would last thirty seconds each time it's used and could now be used three times per battle. The significant difference however is that this time a person isn't simply distracted by the wisps appearing and vanishing only to reappear. But they are compelled, by magic and whispered words of encouragement, to look toward the wisps.

The same things can break the spell as before only now when the spell is broken the opponent would feel slightly confused and perhaps even a little disoriented.

"I'll stick with you," he promised, and then he followed close to Damocles.

Amytis let out an angry frustrated whine. This stupid Captian was just getting in their way, and for what, a grudge against Chariklo? God, this was stupid. She hated the Negaverse so much.

"You know what?" She said. "Normally I don't like violence, but right now, I think I'm gonna learn to."

They needed to get to Hvergelmir, to make sure she wasn't taken...

Because even though Amytis hadn't been as close to her as Chariklo was, she still remembered the other woman's terrible, terrible scars. How she, too, had been rendered mute, but in a much more devastating and completely permanent way than Amytis. She couldn't let the Negaverse get their hands on the Cosmos Knight.

So she threw herself bodily at the Captain, with the full force of her weight.

Persephone's first instinct was to run back to Leto, help her get as many of her people out as she could - because this was at least partially her responsibility. She scanned the ballroom for her girlfriend, in either form, but her eyes stopped on someone else.

A familiar blonde-haired Senshi, in pink and white and pale jade.

"Sidouer," she said, her voice quiet at first, and then much louder, twisted with pain and fear. "Sidouer!" She took a step forward, and then stopped.

He snapped at the other cat, "worry about getting your people out, not about us!" Sure, it was a bad idea if someone overheard, but right then he didn't care.

"We're getting out, I don't care how," he told Iolite, and then the Corrupt started running for the doors.

Until he got in view of them, and he froze.

Seeing Hvergelmir and Kairatos crumpled, surrounded by officers, made a cold chill climb up his spine. "No," he said, softly. He knew what the mission was, so they were mosty likely alive, but that wasn't much better in this situation. "Nooo, no no no," he stepped back, wrapping his arms a little tighter around the (very comfortingly fluffy) cat in his arms.

By the time Hitch hung up the phone, he felt vindication wash over him -- yet, at the same time, he was disturbed as all hell. "I was the first person to call, " he remarked out loud, shaking his head in disbelief. One more thing to drop in the bucket of ******** up things tonight, wasn't it? The hotel staff should have called 911 ages ago. What the hell was wrong with this town?

He took another long puff of his cigarette, a hint of anxiety washing over him when he saw some other guy duck into the bathroom first. Might be an enemy, might be someone looking for their own place to hide -- not like he had any issue with Tolliver's cane or anything, he just -- he didn't want anything to happen to him, that's all. He was keeping a sharp eye out for danger, but even thought they were moving slow, it was like being in the eye of a storm.

When they finally got to the bathroom, Hitch was relieved that the other guy seemed decent, and couldn't help but laugh. "You're tellin' me -- it always like this?" he grunted. Then when Tolliver drew attention to the bundle in the other guy's arms, Hitch only looked vaguely surprised. "I thought I might've heard a cat before!" He stepped towards the other guy, his lips down turned in a frown. "Poor b*****d. Might be terri -- wait a ******** second."

Okay, NOW he was surprised. "Is... that cat ******** CRYING?"
