No sooner than Tamiya had vowed to stay was she punished for her actions. She was burning again. And this time, the sun shone overhead. She'd never returned to her hive late enough to be afraid of the sun. Well, she was certainly afraid of the sun... But that had more to do with the daywalkers. The spirits. The only other time the sun threatened her was during her WACKY expedition, and this was much more dangerous. She got a few hearty swings in before she was overtaken.
Blisters began to form on her skin from the whipping vines holding her in place. She gasped for air, squeezed thin as a rail. A vine crept up her neck and face, beckoned by the light. It scalded. Tamiya screamed.
"Messiahs. Do not let me die today. It is not my time... ********!" Her hand was ripped open and her weapon dropped to the ground. She cried and prayed, but couldn't loose herself. Her voice became a raspy whisper.
"Pl..please... Help... Me..."
Tamiya beefed it but still does 5 damage.

MamaJu's HP: 14/40; EntangledMamaju fought on valiantly, her dangerous claws and fangs lashing out at her enemy as she went. However as she trashed about taking a mighty swing of her paws she felt cords wrapping around her paw. Roaring in displeasure, she tried to pull away only to find she was rooted. Her eyes squinted as a sun-shaft beamed over her. Her thrashing increased, wanting to be away from the harsh sunlight. The second she heard Voscil calling for her, the beast thundered a sound which could only mean no. She didn't want her daughter anywhere near the patch of light. She'd just have to work on trying to break her own bonds. MamaJu deals 2 damage. She takes -3 and is entangled.

"Koalapops, watch out!" Aandes cried. His lusus was being squeezed by a few vines, nearly bisecting him in the middle. He squished in and out, angrily hissing and bellowing, and took a few of the burning vines in his mouth. They were gone in an instant. "Whoa!"
Aandes stepped back. Was Eostre seeing this? He would have reveled, but the ceiling looked like it could cave in at any moment. He ducked for shadowy cover, tugging Koalapops by the tail away from the threatening vines.
Koalapops somehow doesn't beef it and deals 2 damage!

”Odette!” Keionx called out, turning to see that Odette was tangled up in a mess of vines. She tried to push the girl out, but to no avail... she wasn't strong enough. And yet... and yet, even still, this tall, graceful, beautiful redblood was worried about her.
As Beastdad wouldth say, she is a true hero Keionx thought to herself, eyes welling with orange Umber tears. She knew what she had to do, even as the burning sunlight scorched at her. She began to tear at the viney tendrils binding Odette and Tamiya, wanting to free them...
Not even seeing the tendrils that sought to trap her as well...

Zindel dealt 1 damage. Wait-- ********. Just his luck-- after freeing a lusus, Zindel was caught by the vines again, locked into place. He would've asked his allies for help, but... they were also trapped. Great...

Vremea dealt 1 damage. Hearing Odette scream from afar, Vremea instantly went to search for her-- then runs to her morail, seeing her in pain. Seeing the purpleblood near her, Vremea thought she was aiming to hurt her friend-- but wouldn't she had hit her in her weakened state? Besides, both of them were looking beaten up... before she could do anything to help, however, she felt the vines try and grab her too-- but hell no, Vremea wasn't allowing this! She jumped out of the way and ripped them off of her-- nope! Not again!

Snarling, the queen cut herself free and leaped for the shade. No way no how was she gonna get deep fried. Dunking down in the water, she sniffed as it hissed against her skin. What dish did that smell remind her of? For the moment, the lowbloods were out of her mind as she tended to her own injuries. HP: 12/20 [got freeee!] Regina dealt 3 damage!

Odette dealt 3 damage. Tamiya fell, trapped by the vies, crying out for help. Odette supposed she should have felt righteous, like this was brought on by karma. But she didn't. It didn't feel right. She didn't want karma's help. Writhing in the vines, Odette struggled to break free. She pulled and pulled at the vines. She felt useless. She ran her hands through her hair and held them there, panicked. She started to weep. How was she going to help the others like this? HP: 2

Sure she couldn't get this branch to budge, or couldn't help her lusus given she was in some sun patches as she'd already been yelled at by her mama. That didn't stop the yellowblood from trying at more shots (attempts) at freeing the lusii under Aendal's command. Giving several tugs to try and free a lusii, she quickly realized the one she was after..was very much dead.
Squeaking in dismay she let go of the branches and backed off when the bear-like creature looked at her with its flowered eye-socket. Nah, she wouldn't keep trying to free that one....that was okay she'd go try elsewhere.

USING TRINKET
The orangeblood was helping untangle her? Valiant. She supposed any troll would do such a thing out of fear for a purpleblood's retribution, but it was a better sign than her being left for dead by lowbloods that despised her. Tamiya was weak. She was barely able to pull herself out of the vines before falling to the ground, breathless.
Tamiya did 1 damage BUT IS FREEEEE.

Failed to free a lusus
Etsali stumbled mechanically through the motions of pulling away the vines on a lusus, cringing away from the whines of Keeper. It was her she ought to be trying to save, not this one. The vines slipped through her fingers, the lusus scurrying away, and she stared despondently after it.

Finally, a lusus that knew how to be grateful for her efforts to free it! Lorata tugged the last of the vines away and pointed vindictively to Aendal, nodding approvingly when the creature lurched that way immediately.

"Zindel!" Reemus watched in horror as the street rat troll was caught up in the vines. He started running over to see if he could help, but was quickly distracted by Voscil's little noise. For a second he worried that she had been snagged up, too. He turned on his heel to see her realize a lusus she was working with was just a corpse. Couldn't she figure it out from the smell?
Apparently not. And then the thing LOOKED at her. Reemus snarled and ran over in case it might lash out like manipulated vines had done with Zindel, and a controlled lusus smashed into him on his way. Reemus grabbed the vines and tried to tug them off, but to no avail. Instead, before it could injure him further, he tried to redirect it so it wouldn't be going after him or the other kids anymore.
"Vosci! You okay, mate?" he called over, quickly checking to make sure she could take care of herself before focusing on Zindels predicament.Current HP: 22 - 1 = 21 / 40 HP + Entangled

Vremea dealt 3 damage. Vremea quickly went to run over to Odette, but vines darted at her. Hell no! She quickly slashed at them and kept going, not willign to stop.
