"There are others that we have an interest in and have been observing yes... but nobody else, quite like me. Right now, Lysira should be watching the Scion... don't worry. Your lover will be safe Sunstrike."

If her bluntness about their relationship seemed rude, she was unaware of it. To her, it was simply fact. Part of the background of two individuals. But Sunstrike was probably left wondering exactly how she knew him, let alone about his personal affairs.

"I suppose you have a lot of questions?"
PostPosted: Sat Mar 24, 2007 4:41 am

Sunstrike went a little paler at the mention of lover, then turned a deep shade of red.

"N-no, I'm alright. I just...need...um." She'd nailed him with that first blunt comment and he was trying to pick up the pieces. It was true that Vahn and Sun had never really...divuldged anything other then friendship or aquaintance in public. And though Sun was loathe to hide that relationship, there was a part of him that felt the embarassment sharply.

Now that he thought about it, there were questions, best to keep it simple though.

"Who are you?" That could cover a lot in a simple sentence.

The woman politely ignored his discomfort and answered the question evenly.

"My name is Aiysin, but I am better known amongst my comrades as G.K. or 'Gatekeeper'. I am the Seer of GUARDIAN's 4th squad."

She tilted her head, offering a little more to aide the explanation.

"GUARDIAN is the Dark Sakura's special forces and special intelligence. Seer is a rank, second only to Oracle. Like a umm, how would you say--ah Captain and Vice Captain?"

She didn't know if Sunstrike knew very much about the DSG, the name would at least ring a bell, as he was friends with the founder and it had sponsored team Liberi Fatali this year in the HoH tournament.

Aiysin waited to see just how much of this was familiar news...

Aiysin sighed, blowing her breath out slowly through rounded lips before brushing the fringe of bangs from her face.

"The Dark Sakura, or the DSG is the guild founded by Lady Sierra'est'a'ra'lian, or as you know her Sierra. The guild has two tiers of Security. The Guild Guard who handle your basic everyday, inner-guild things... and the GUARDIAN's."

She smiles softly as she explains, watching all of the man's expressions closely.

"GUARDIAN squads are divided into different skill sets. 4th squad, is the Psychic Corps. We're responsible for the Guild's centre of intelligence. We've been tracking the activities of Vahn's brother...but he fades in and out of our visions."

Aiysin attempted to keep her face neural, but she had not yet learned to lie with her eyes, and the fear and worry showed plainly there.

"Victor has Sierra once more and he has set Ra'kar free... GUARDIAN is mobilizing to reclaim our Lady and stop Victor and Ra'kar. If necessary... we will eliminate her... as was Sierra's instructions before she vanished."

He let out a deep sigh. Sun hadn't actually realized how much influence Sierra actually had.

She's a noble, you stupid lizard, of course she does...

There was pain in that knowledge. Even gone, the elven lady had a lot more power over the course of events then Sunstrike ever did. A lot more backup to protect those that she cared about. But now wasn't the time to worry over responsibilities.

"I know of Sierra's capture, I saw..." What could he tell her? That he'd seen more then he'd ever wanted to see. That he knew what Victor had done to call Ra'Kar whenever the dark man needed her. That was a deep pain, one not easily repaired. And not just for the victem herself...

"Everything." His face looked ravaged in the half light, before reverting back to a kind of peace.

"What did you want me to do?"

"You and Vahn were the last two to see Sierra before she faded... we would like you to work with GUARDIAN to help us find the Princess... and help us restore her...."

She averted her eyes now, what she had to ask next wasn't fair... she didn't want to have to ask this of him...

"And if we cannot save Sierra-hime, then we will need your help to keep the Scion under control as we eliminate her. This was her order and her request should she ever lose control to the darkness within her..."

Aiysin looked at Sunstrike face on now.

"The princess always knew that this might happen... yet she carried on for us. She protected us, was friends with us, even as she trained us to be capable of this mission... If she could display that kind of courage daily and still smile brightly for those around her... I will not dishonour her wishes. But--- I cannot force you to help."

Dark thoughts.

Sunstrike looked at her as she said the words, and tried to calculate how ruthless he could be. The answer was very, and he did not like that paticular piece of self realization.

"You realize...what would happen if I were at all responsible for Sierra's death. What that would do to my...friendship." It would be done, that would be completely it. Vahn might have compassion enough to leave Sun alive, but it would demolish anything else that was between the two.

He grinned suddenly, and then barked a laugh.

"Which is why your asking me instead of him. You know I have the most to lose if she's gone." He looked at the gater in appreciation. "I would have done my best anyway to fix her, though. I'll let you know that now so there's no misunderstandings about my motives in this."

"I realize that it would mean the death of everything you two are. Something I do not wish to see--"

She shifted somewhat uncomfortably as she studied him closely.

"My lady spoke fondly of you Sunstrike... even knowing about you and the Scion. I know she valued your friendship, but she also valued your ability to see a situation for what it is... seeing past the dramatic distractions."

Aiysin was fidgeting, the fan clicked open and she flitted it back and forth past her face, 'causing the silvered tendrils to dance in the near dark.

"She knows that Vahn isn't strong enough to do what needs to be done... IF need be. It would be Ashe all over again... "

Yes, this woman even knew of Ashe and her death. GUARDIAN was well informed, especially concerning those close to their leader. It might be unsettling for Sunstrike, that a stranger knew this much about their lives... but right now, Aiysin didn't really have the luxury of worrying about her charge's sensabilities.

She nods and clicks the fan shut.

"Thank you, you have the sincerest gratitude of the Dark Sakura."

Her eyes flicked to the now dark city and then back to Sunstrike.

"My sister Lysira should be contacting us soon... once she has spoken to Vahn. If all goes well, they will join us and I will gate us to a more appropriate location to discuss matters..."

Hugin the Raven

The store seemed to be open, though.

"We'll be nearby. Call when you need a pick-up, and we'll get this thing moving," the driver informed the Captain.

It was a nice, simple, expensive, civilian store that smelled of perfume and new clothing, a sort of fresh fabric smell that got one excited about shopping for just the right outfit.

"I think I'll go for something based in navy, or maybe a lighter shade of blue so it doesn't contrast with my complexion too much."

At 5 foot 4, Red thought she was short, but this girl was almost nine inches shorter than her.

"Wow, you're really petite. We might have trouble finding you something nice that fits. I hope I don't have to check the junior's section! Tell you what, I'll take care of myself quickly and then come help you, you look around in the meantime! I'm sure you know your measurements, so, for you, I'd look for something fairly casual, try loose fitting shorts instead of a skirt, but a casual dress would be okay to."

Red's sizes were fairly standard, so she had little trouble finding something she considered acceptable in the right sizes. All she needed were matching heels, gray nylons, and possibly a good purse. Her boxes were left at the pick up desk, and she went to find Elise.

"Okay, I picked out an outfit for myself, how are you coming along?"

"It's a curse more then an ability. Sometimes it's not always the best way to get past a situation, either. She is too trusting of the people close to her," He struggled and then said the word. "Fiancee. She did not, nor does know my purpose. Like most in this game." Again the bark of laughter. "Hell, even I don't know, I just seem to do things that stick."

He shook his head slightly. "You put too little faith in Vahn. I think he might be stronger then that, the mental damage of having to sacrifice though...he might not be able to recover from that." There was no bitterness when he said this, maybe Sun actually could judge Vahn's limitations, if there were any.

But this was a grey area for the both of them. He simply shook his head in the end, knowing it was pointless to argue with himself over what could or couldn't be. Vahn had surprised him too often for Sun to make a realistic conclusion.

He nodded to her thanks and sat back down at the mention of Vahn actually coming to them. It was a load off, quite literally as he leaned against the cavern wall.

"Sierra... despite being betrayed by humanity more times than she could count, never lost hope, her compassion never wavered. I--"

She hesitated and said the next bit somewhat clumsily.

"I don't know if that's a display of strength or stupidity... but I, admire her."

She grinned at Sun, rather lopsided like and then joined him, leaning against the wall.

"There is rarely an action executed, without selfish motivation Sunstrike. She knows that... but she never really seemed to care. I- I've tried to understand how she can be so unresentful of people... But I'm not that big of a person I guess--"

She shrugs and grins.

"I guess I like a reason for a good fight too much to pass up my chance at a good grudge."

"I can't bear grudges, I'm not allowed." Tiredness was making his speechpatterns slow and lazy. Idley he tickled her thumb when her hand came too close to his personal space. Teasing, as always.

"Do you have any bandages about that pretty body of yours? Or should I wait til the cavalry to arive?"
PostPosted: Sun Mar 25, 2007 2:19 pm

"Not allowed? Part of your creational make-up?"

She flushed ever so slightly as his hand brushed over hers and then turned to face him, subtly moving her body back just enough to give them both their space through the repositioning.

"Yes, how badly are you injured?"

She queried as she she reached behind her back, to the bow of her obi sash, which doubled as a pouch, removing guaze and rolled bandages.

He blinked in surprise, not expecting her to produce anything from an outfit that looked to be nothing more then bandages itself.

"Part of my repentance. Or servitude, the perspective tends to differ depending on who you talk to. I find it a nuisance. I suppose your sources tell you what I am."

He began to roll up his pant leg in discomfort. The flesh was deeply bruised, to the point where there was more purple then the white colour of Sun's own skin. It had swollen slightly with all the movement and was looking probably about as painful as it felt. Metal rings were latched around his ankle, which seemed to have taken the most abuse, and a twin pair were around his thigh.

Unseen, there were bars that were actually holding his leg together very tightly. Aided in this were some deeply etched runes that glowed a slight green colour, not helping the purple actually look healthy. But Sun figured as long as he could still feel it, it was still healing.

What he needed bandages for was to mop up a few of the split stiches around the metal bands. All the movement was not what they were meant for and a small amound of blood leaked down and dripped below his leg.
