Lighthouse Peyton didn't so much flop against Lex's shoulder, as slump. She felt well and truly exhausted, or spent, or drained, or a combination of all three. It left her a little pale, but she tried to flash Otto a smile. Lips twitched, but the expression melted into a grimace before fully forming. If she could have reassured him, she would have, but she didn't know what to say. She did give Rin an odd look, one that would have been quite a bit incredulous had she not been in such a great deal of pain. "Cousin," she corrected, and if Rin didn't want to ask about Mark, Peyton certainly didn't want to force the knowledge on her. It still seemed terribly unreal to her. Shock, she suspected. It a was working as an insulator. Protecting her from the worst of it all.

Hospital -> Lighthouse
"Detonation of main island bases in T minus 300 seconds."
Kostya staggered away, but not before grabbing any remaining folders that Jordan left behind.
He arrived at the lighthouse, nodding at anyone there, eyes sharp for America.

[ hospital basement -> first floor -> lighthouse ]
"Yes, I did find something interesting," he answered Chel, and then ignored her other comment in lieu of investigating what could be scrounged in a hospital. He picked up several more guns (one could never be sure with simply one after all), a grey coat, as well as raided what folders or medical tech he could scrounge through the damage on his way up and through the first floor.
The alarms made him think quickly. Pairing off was sensible. Finn to Fini, Chel to whatshisface (Chris, he caught a Chris in passing), him with--alright. He'd have to suppose wherever Abbi and Ripley were, or Ian and Shiloh and his other soon-to-be-lackey, they were out of the base. Priority one: get out alive with as high a number as possible.
The back of Oliver's collar was grabbed forcefully. "Princess," he greeted, "time to go to another castle." The poor guy was yanked along by a giant with long legs bringing up the rear of the group, watching for stragglers.
They would get a swift kick from him if any dragged behind. That was his life insurance policy.

The back and forth between Rin and his cousin made his lip curl in disgust, despite the atmosphere of calamity around them. "Rin. Ew. No." For now, he didn't want to know about any more causalities. He couldn't handle any more death. One of these days, the delicate balance that kept Otto together would give way, and there would be nothing left to put back together. He'd distract himself with the living, for as long as he could.

Lighthouse
There, during the actually searching of the O's headquarters, Dakota had moved back to the lighthouse, and waited for Wilson to return as well. Hunters started flooding back, and he could tell from the grim faces....the pain of others...
it was too much, and he'd been a little too late to help.

Running to the Lighthouse
As she raced toward the portal, America scanned the path for both allies and enemies. The route she took was a little out of the way and all the greeted her were the corpses of sentries. She ran past several before remembering Mark's suggestion to blend and the earlier confrontation. Using a precious minute of her time, America looted two dead sentries of their guns and grey coats. Arms full, the girl sprinted the remainder of the distance to the portal.

Peyton didn't even give Rin a response. The comment didn't deserve one. Not the place, not the time, and ridiculous to boot. Instead she scowled, shifting her weight on Lex's shoulders. It was incredibly uncomfortable, putting pressure on chest and hips, but she knew the alternative, being set down only to be picked up again, would be worst. Was the portal up yet? She just wanted to go home. Wordlessly she reached out a hand towards Otto, The only person currently present she really knew. Someone she cared about, that she had worried over. And maybe, just maybe she needed the reassurance of his touch, for her own selfish reasons. Behind him she saw Kostya heading towards them, and one more tightly clenched knot of anxiety uncurled just a little. "Kostya, how are you holding up?" He had almost been crushed.

Dorms -> LighthouseAt first when they started to run, Quinn stood still. He knew he should run, but hesitated briefly to follow. It was Ians hand, clamping down on his wrist that dragged him forward. It was a miracle he didnt lose his footing. He lagged behind at the start, but soon he was keeping up pace with them as best he could. Twisting his wrist around, Quinn clamped his own hand on Ians wrist as well. Normally Quinn was very scarce with touching, he felt it awkward. He just needed a little comfort right now, after what they had seen.

Hospital -> LighthouseOliver had curled up even tighter, his knees hugged tightly to his chest as the alarms rang out. He was going to die. His panic was overwhelming, and had he been standing he would have ran as fast as he could in whatever direction he was pushed. But even Finn's shout wasn't enough to spur him off the floor and into action. The motivation he needed was being forcefully dragged to his feet by the back of his jacket. It was only two steps before he had his feet under him of his own accord, and the terrified energy re-routed itself into moving forward. He didn't need any of Jack's kicks to run as fast as he could towards the lighthouse with the others.

Peyton reached out a hand. Letting Rin's inbred joke fade away, he held his cousin's hand. She was injured, looked uncomfortable, and likely just needed familiar contact. He could do that much for her while they waited for the portal to open up. "Hang in there, 'aight? You'll be fine." Saliru u owe him the best sammiches ever. a platter. a party platter

Rin watched them hold hands. She rested her chin against her hand and smiled a bit too big. If either glanced her way, she was sure to wiggle her eyebrows at them.

Lex continued to be there, just a vehicle for Peyton. He really didn't mind, to be honest. It let him process everything that was going on.
Seeing another Hunter come back with grey uniforms and guns, an idea sparked in his head. "Hey, Otto, take her for me." He ordered, stooping so the teen could take his cousin. Once the (hopefully not too painful) transfer was complete, Lex took a four grey uniforms and guns and came back to their small grouping. "Just in case we still need to blend."

(Bane on toshi's acc) [Dorms ----> Lighthouse]
Rep walked like a zombie, Simon across his shoulder. He was covered in blood from the two Sun hunters and his knees felt shaky and weak. There was a deep nauseous sickness gnawing in his gut which wouldn't relent and he felt like every step was a hundred thousand miles.
The others were gathered at the lighthouse already and he said nothing at first when he arrived, huddling close by Harrison and Allan. When he finally mustered up the energy to speak it was hugging the other man's weapon tablet to his chest with his free arm, a gesture which took him back to other sadness, another siege.
"Is there a portal up yet or are we ********?" His voice was small and cracked, hardly recognizable. Even here and now he felt ashamed that Simon was ultimately stuck being brought back for burial by one of the people he'd liked the least and felt that everyone else would be thinking the same thing. But he couldn't be anyone but the disappointment that he was this was the best that he could do.

Hospital > Lighthouse
Oh god her head was pounding and the blaring sirens were just atroucious. She suddenly was scared. Unsure if she was going to make it out. And that was not a feeling she had felt in a long time. However, before it could overwhelm her, a voice and a very familiar face were suddenly there. Unhurt and looking like his usual self.
A huge wave of relief filled her that would have made her legs buckle if Finn hadn't already been sweeping them out from under her. Fini hissed at the pain, leaning her head against him briefly, just to reassure herself he was real.
"Dead." Was all she managed to croak out faintly, a small smile managing to curl her lips up.
"Oliver's alright?" She asked, getting the answer to that as Finn yelled at him to get moving. And was that Jack's voice?
"Hope... you guys... found something more interesting." Unlike her and her sentry. The b*****d.
