Down the narrow hall beyond the small door, he paused at the end, looking into the room. It was once used as a place for people to stay for the night. Pastors who were in town for some special reason, who knew, but it was there. A simple bed, white sheets now dusty and gray, moth eaten. An empty bookshelf, and matching desk beside the small, narrow window. Ryan crossed his arms, leaning against the doorframe. How long had it been now? He could hardly remember. About twenty years at least. Not long for immortal standards, though considering the events following, memories were like bits and pieces of a puzzle that had been scattered and lost.

The angel stepped uneasily through the desolate street that he had been led to. Everything seemed to be abandoned and overgrown. As if everyone just got up and left. Still he continued his blind search. He had come too far to give up and go home.

It seemed that the darker something was, the easier light could be detected. Midstep Ryan paused, feeling that small sensation, barely noticable.. Tsuki was near. Eyes shifted to the little window that attempted vainly to bring light into the room, but too much dust had settled on it. Well.. no matter. He wouldn't be long. Moving to the desk, the fallen one pulled the drawer open and took that which it held, tucking it within the inner pocket of the long coat, then shut the drawer again. He walked back to the doorway, stopping to give one last glance at the room, then continued back down the hall.

Tsuki was about to give up when he suddenly laid eyes on a desolate looking church. The place was so old and broken that it felt strange to think that it was ever a place of worship. However it seemed as likely a place as any, the angel thought. Ryan had a misplaced sense of irony when it came to these things.

Ryan stepped back outside in time to see Tsuki standing there. He shut the door behind him and headed back up the path, stopping when he got to the angel. "Do you always follow me?" He questioned, then gave a small grin, slipping an arm around the angel's waist. "You should be home. Don't you have after school homework?"

The angel looked away sheepishly. "I already finished it. I was waiting for you for hours. I was worried." he tried to explain and sighed. "I won't bother asking you why you're here. Lets just go home." he said wearily and leaned closer to th Fallen angel.

A curious look sparked his eyes, watching the angel. He looked back to the old building, then began to walk back toward Tsuki's home, arm still around the angel's waist. "Just a place to think." He said after a while, looking down at the angel again. "Don't worry so much."

Tsuki smiled weakly as he wlaked alonside him. "I'm sorry." he whispered and moved closer to the other man in an attempt to ward off the chilly evening that was rearing its icy head. "I'll try not to worry, but sometimes I can't help it. I was designed that way."

"Don't apologise. I suppose I could have told you I'd be late." Ryan looked at the angel again, then took his coat off and slipped it around Tsuki's shoulders. He put his arm around the angel again and drew him close as they walked. "I'm not used to it." He spoke thoughtfully, more to himself.

The angel smiled sweetly and puled the coat tightly around his shoulders as it was heavy and reached well past his knees. He nodded, "I should really stop having such high expectations of you." he said "I forget sometimes that this is just as new for you as it is for me."

He smirked. "Expectations.." He repeated thoughtfully, looking ahead. For anyone to have expectations of him.. well, that was entirely new. "As always, you just make no sense." Ryan glanced at the angel, then looked forward, up toward Tsuki's building. They had reached it pretty quickly. "It reminds me of what an angel once told me." He tilted his head a little, as if deep in thought, trying to remember. "Ah yes.. 'Don't be so arrogant, I can take care of myself'".

Tsuki blushed darkly and looked at his shoes. "I'm sorry." he repeated again. The were almost home and the sun had now completely set beneath the cities horizon. As they stopped outside the front door Tsuki leaned to kiss the other man gently, full of promise yet apologetic at the same time.

"Don't be. I rarely am." He returned the kiss, putting a hand behind the angel's neck and toying with his hair again. He really enjoyed the soft texture of it.. After a moment he drew away, straightening up, and waited for Tsuki to go inside.

Tsuki unlocked the door to the apartment and made his way inside. "You know, it always feels so much better to bring someone home." he mused. "This place was just an address until you came along." he giggled slightly and blushed a little more.

He stepped in behind the angel and shut the door. He was still attempting to get used to the idea himself.. it was very odd to be staying nights at Tsuki's apartment. "Is that so..?" He took the coat off the angel's shoulders and hung it up, then moved behind the blonde and slipped his arms around his waist. One hand trailed down slowly. "I think you just enjoy having someone to share your bed with.." He whispered huskily against the angel's ear.
