For awhile, Deryk was at a loss for what to do. Things repeated themselves one or two more times, but this time something different was definitely happening. He couldn't tell what the horsemen were doing, but it looked like they were summoning some sort of gate. That was either their doom or perhaps their way out of here. Hopefully it was the latter. But worse yet was these lizard creatures that had appeared and were on the attack. They were aiming to kill too, looking from the way several of his comrades had fallen.
Gritting his teeth, he prepared himself before thrusting his left arm out to stab one of them in the face as it lunged towards him.
Mark's laptop was fried, meaning they probably couldn't get a portal up now.

She wondered if this was a timeline she wanted to save. The bone creatures were almost down, and yet it wasn't feeling like a slow coming victory at all. What would Miss Sasha do? What would Cap'n?
"No." Stormy wouldn't lie now. There were tears starting to form despite her rather calm response, so she dared not look at Gale as she weakly fended off a few spines for him. The sound of gunshots, while frightening, had long since been acclimated to for this mission.
"The Rubik's cube was...was invented in 1974. It has over 43 million--billion?--I-It has a lot of combinations." She was slipping up.
Deryk had thought he had taken down the one he had stabbed, seeing it fall after he had done that. Letting out a breath, he turned around, looking to see if there were any more of those creatures nearby. He bit his lower lip nervously, looking back towards the gate. Was this really a good idea?
He didn't get too much of a chance to think it through completely as he saw a shadow looming over him from behind. Fear crept into his heart as he turned around to see the lizard not being dead at all.
"AAAAAAH!" he screamed as it knocked him over, pinning him down. One of its claws had painfully gone through his left arm, rendering him unable to retaliate. The death intermediate tried to squirm out from under its grasp, but he could do nothing but stare up at the creature. The lizard didn't wait before it began to shred his body apart.
Bix hung back with Ceres after her flurry of attacks. Thankfully the group of hunters was whittling down the monsters until there was only one left. It only took a few arrows before the thing stopped moving.
"Uh," Lucky slowly lowered his sawblade, and noticed there was a distinctly higher number of prone, blood covered, and very possibly dead bodies than ever before. He tried not too look too carefully at any of them, trying to avoid recognizing anyone. If this was the 'right' timeline, it was still pretty wrong. But he didn't feel like he had any nausea left right now for the sight of mauled hunters, just adrenaline and confusion. "Now vhat?"
For good measure (and maybe juuust a little delayed in action), he did go out of his way to kick the sparking wires well away from the fin-monolith. Because seriously.

Stormy gave a sigh of relief as a sun hunter shot down the last of them. Safe for now. She would have tried, honest, but she didn't trust her luck; it was the sort that got her killed by getting too close to shadows.
Her turn. "You okay?" she asked Gale quietly before scanning for people, wanting to reach out and pat his shoulder but finding her limbs too stiff with anxiety. Sherry, Jake, Nevada...She hadn't seen either Tuck or Evan get shot down, nor Lex and Ami. Small miracles she would take.
Lucky--he really was lucky he hadn't died, she thought idly, and wondered if he was doing okay after the first timeline--seemed to have the right idea and, pivoting on the spot (Stormy wouldn't dare leave another hunter's side a this point), she called to Mark and Sam."Orders?" There was still the runes and the odd gate to deal with, but she didn't trust her own judgment anymore.

"What..." Mark, who had been trying to make the best of salvaging what he had with his phone alone, finally jolted back to awareness as Lucky kicked some of the amiss wires away. He managed to catch the last of the sand-monster creations revert back to lifelessness, some still with -
- What were those in their jaws-
-"Why- why is everyone resting? Hey guys, come on, um, up and away and stuff?" Cell phone entirely forgotten, he had both hands grabbing at his hair, very much on the verge of a nervous breakdown. "This- this isn't- this can't-"
- And then like any mature individual he screamed bloody murder and fled for the hills and far away.

The lizards were all gone. There was nothing left to distract himself with. He couldn't go after the horsemen, not when they were all trapped, and it appeared that they were going to have to work with the abominations to get out of here.
Jordan turned slowly and stood looking down at Rep and Harrison for a moment. Then he dropped to his knees as well, silent and numb.
"God damnit, Mark!" Melvin shouted, watching the guy run off. "This is the desert! Where the hell are you going?!!" He shouted at the man before kneeling over to take a breather, his entire body shaking. They had to find a way out. With the thing gone, maybe they could check the runes now or destroy the horsemen as best they could.
"We still have horsemen, everyone." He reminded them, rising back and holding his gun at the ready. They weren't done yet.
The same thought crossed his and Song's minds in unison: We're all going to die again.

He reached out and took Stormy's hand without looking at her.
"There's a billion different Rubik's cubes in the world; my sister used to have one that was made entirely of different shapes of glass, and you had to match up the sides based on sizes."
He turned towards her and gave her a half smile, his face tired.
"I was never very good at Rubik's cubes."

Rep was numb and distant, dissociated for the second time that day, one hand on Harrison, the other on the tablet that was B0nez. When Jordan joined him he wanted to hug him, wanted to say something, wanted to ask if things would skip again, wanted to say what it meant to see him alive and well again.
But he couldn't move, couldn't summon the words and even Tracey felt numb and far away.
Let it end.
