Suddenly he had a pretty little bird on his lap. He simply gathered her up in his arms and held onto her and smiled lightly, "I love you Freya. There is never a time that I would want to be apart from you or to never see you again."
Kettil seemed content to have her near him again and happy to have made his point more or less. He was certain that there were probably a lingering problem here and there but he wasn't going to let that take him down, and he certainly wasn't going to let it take Freya away.
"If I have to find some way to remind you of all of these facts, I will try my damnedest to do so every day." He said simply.

She wanted to be reminded. Every single day. She wanted to selfishly beg him to tell her every day that he was never going to give up on her. She wanted it, but she wanted to give Kettil the ghoulfriend he deserved, more. And he did not deserve someone that needy, and that demanding.
It was a shame that was what he got.
"I'm sorry, baby." She whispered, burying her face into his chest. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
Would she always be this way? Kettil deserved so much better. Why didn't he see that? Why would someone fight this hard for someone as broken and messy as Freya?
Because he was Kettil, her heart scolded her. Because he was Kettil.

He liked that she needed him. He liked that she demanded things of him.
Even if it might be a bit much for most others to deal with but for him? It was something he enjoyed about her and that he enjoyed about their relationship. She wanted him, needed him, and made clear her demands of him in their relationship...Usually.
Kettil only smiled down at her and began to fuss at parts of her hair to brush a bit of it away, even if he had to contort a bit to do so, he kissed her cheek. "You have nothing to be sorry for. I love you. I love every moment with you even when it is us bickering at each other."
She might be broken, she might be messy but she was his. One day all the cracks will be patched up but for now he was simply happy that she still breathed and lived. That his Freya could still wear a smile now and again and that same smile could reach her eyes.

If he'd asked, right there, at that exact moment, Freya knew in her heart she wouldn't have been able to say no. She was his, down to the last molecule, and she had no will left to fight him if he'd asked.
But he didn't.
So she didn't.
And for that, they were probably better off.
"I loves yeh too." She mumbled into his shoulder. "Every moment."
She lifted her head, and her wide, wet eyes looked up at him childishly. "Can we still takes our foods home? I don't wants teh be here anymore."
It was obvious by the tone she said it, that those words meant the complete opposite than they did a few moments ago.

Kettil was content in knowing that she loved him in return. He let out a small hum of thought and nodded, "Sure, sure."
Forever he bended around her needs, for her needs. It made him happy to do so.
His hand signaled for the waiter to come over toward where they sat and the waiter wandered over with a concerned and curious expression. The waiter, much like a select few very nosey customers, had been watching the pair.
"Can ya put our order in a to-go container? Sorry for the trouble and all," Kettil smiled up at the waiter winningly.
The waiter laughed a bit and nodded, "Everything alright?"
"Yep! We're perfect. We just need to chill out at home." Kettil said simply.
There was an understanding nod and off the waiter went.

For all Freya put the boil through, there was no reason for him to be this understanding. But he was - he always was. She lifted her head, and kissed his neck, even as the waiter chatted with him about the meal. She hadn't even noticed anyone had come by.
Finally, the food arrived in a bag, settled on the table, and Freya decided she'd have to get off of Kettil before they could actually leave. It was at this point that she realized she was in a public place, and there were people around.
Look at all the ******** she gave.
Wiping the tears away from her face, she let out a sharp sigh, followed by a weak chuckle. "Great, we goes home and I am cryings. What will yehr mother thinks?"

Kettil paid for the meal and left a tip for the waiter and then picked up the food bag. Once he was able to get up on his feet he looked over at his ghoulfriend. The boil seemed thoughtful for a moment or two before answering, "That if you need someone to talk to, she is there. She will probably be concerned but she doesn't push herself on others."
Quietly he offered her his arm so he could leave with her, feeling complete.

Talk to her? About this? Freya snorted at the thought. "I don't needs yehr mother knowings I am a headcase. Let her believe I have some sanity, at least until after the marriage." She snickered and grabbed her bags, then took his arm, leaning heavily against him as he walked her out.
The marketplace seemed just a little louder, a little more boisterous. Her eyes ached as the sunlight hurt. She buried her head against the side of his arm, rubbing her face against it. It always hurt to see the sun after she cried.
Despite all the drama, she felt like she'd gotten a real chance to share in Kettil's past, during their visit. Spending the night in his room, eating with his parents, being at that waterfall, and all the shopping at the marketplace.. they'd done so much in so little of an amount of time.
She felt complete.
Complete, and empty.
Her stomach growled at its emptiness.

"You aren't a headcase," he said simply with a small laugh. Kettil then walked with her on out of the restaurant together after Kettil bid everyone farewell that he knew. He was mostly quiet on the walk back toward his childhood home. There was not much to be said for the moment but he only paused in front of the house and looked down at her, "Wanna avoid folk or don't care?"
He asked her first because he cared.

"The only person I wants teh avoids is Onyx. If he's still there, we should go upstairs quickly. Or I punch him in the face." She laughed, and then reconsidered. "Except that might be funny. But I shouldn't starts a fight. I don't think I'm quiiite there yet, with yehr family."
She slipped her hand in his, and rocked it back and forth between them. "But I wants teh goes up and eats in yehr room anyway. I could use some quiet."
Freya? Quiet? Gasp.

Kettil nodded firmly and then wandered inside with his ghoulfriend, for the most part the only one in the main part of the house was his mother and she only smiled briefly at the two. Liseli looked busy just then and only uttered a quiet greeting before she returned to sewing one of the ghoul's dresses.
The boil smiled back at his mother and then lead Freya up the stairs and eventually to his room where he opened the door for her, "In ya go," he announced cheerfully.

Freya gave Kettil's mother a quick, chirped reply, wiggling her fingers in a wave, before being ushered up the stairs. Once she hopped into Kettil's room, she dropped her bags and flopped down right on the floor and sat there indian style, holding her hands out with grabby hands. "Gives me the bag, I will sets teh food up all nice and pretty for us."

He followed her in a short moment after and made sure the door was closed before he moved to sit with her looking a little amused that she seemed so excited for this. Kettil obediently offered the bag their food was contained in, "Don't make it too pretty, now. I don't want to feel guilty over eating it."
There was a pause as he almost said something perverse.
...He blushed instead. Damn it, hormones.

Freya didn't get the reference, as she took the bag, opened it with gusto, and started to place all the boxes around her. "Well I don't means I'm goings teh makes the food pretty, just set it up nicely so we can eats it without-"
It was then that she looked up, and saw that blush on his face. That beautiful, alluring blush. But as far as she knew, he had nothing to blush about - was food making him horny?!
She leaned in, and poked him in the chest, a sly look on her face. "Whatcha thiiiinkings?"

Kettil was listening to her and hoping she didn't notice a damn thing and for the most part it was going well until...
She noticed.
He cleared his throat and answered very honestly, "Eating."
