Miki smiled at the sundae was placed in front of her. "Thank you sempai," she said handing Bastion a spoon. "Bastion your powers dont sound to bad, but what do the heavenly strings do?" she asked as she scooped up some ice cream and placed it in her mouth letting the spoon hang.

Bastion  "They're just used to capture things... That's all I did throughout my time with them... Someone told me I can never do harm... So I just caught people using them... They can extend almost endlessly and they bend to my will... It's not as cool as casting fire or becoming a thing of legends..."
Bastion said as he rested his head against the table, at the end of his fingertips came small maybe footlong pure light strings. They seemed to be charring the table.

Bastion said lifting his hands off the table to keep the table from taking too much damage from him.

Miki smiled and then took hold of one of the strands but not before testing it by gently poking at it. "Hm...wow, this is great!" she said examining it in her hands. "It's warm too... This is really interesting," She blushed knowing that she was probably getting swept away by her curiosity.

Bastion Bastion looked over at Miki her face glowing with curiosity. He thought maybe he should play with it. In her hand the strand of string softly wrapped around her hand and tickled the palm of her hand softly.

Miki watched as the string wrapped around her hand and then she giggled a bit when it tickled the palm of her hand. "That tickles," she said still giggling a bit. The tickling was keeping her distracted from her curiosity at the moment and she was a little thankful for it.

Bastion Bastion made the other strings on his fingertips wrap around her hand and continue to tickle her as he smiled softly to her and then forced the strings to stop.

She smiled brightly and held one of his hands. "Back in Japan there is this a sort of belief that there are strings that bind two people together. Forming a spiritual connection between the two, I wonder if the person who started that myth was actually referring to strings of light like these?" She said analyzing things once again. "I'm probably overthinking it again." She took another spoonful of ice cream. "You should, eat some before it melts too."

Bastion Bastion smiled at her as she took his hand and he looked down at the sundae.
"Quite possibly... I've heard of these beliefs before but have not spent enough time on earth to learn about them... Tell me more though..."
Bastion said picking up a spoon and eating some of the sundae, after taking a bite he seemed to melt in his seat.

Miki wasn't all that surprised that he had already heard of some of these stories. They were pretty popular. "Hm... well, its called the red string of fate although... no one has actually seen it but they chose the color red because it is supposed to symbolize passion and love. I'm not sure on the reason for that. The two people tied by the string of fate are meant to be together forever in a relationship that is passionate and intimate. That's about all I know on that matter," she blushed when she mentioned the passionate relationship. She saw when he took a bite of the ice cream and smiled when he seemed to be enjoying it. "It's amazing, isn't it?" she asked referring to the ice cream.
