 ☸ ☸ ☸Hakudoshi Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ Sage of The Illuminating Fang It was no secret Hakudoshi came from Ren,but what he knew about Illo's combat style was gleaned from careful observation and first hand accounts from a few Rantō members compiled during the last meeting. Illo's spacious and temporal abilities were a complete surprise,as Ren only had a vague idea due to what Decus had told her. Had he known Hakudoshi might have altered the chaos field accordingly. As for his training,Ren had only sparred with him. He hadn't earned the right to be formally trained by her yet. Learning from first hand experience required more concentration,and merely surviving was hard enough. Only select members of Rantō had been gracious enough to truly teach him;Lumina and her brother being among them. As foot flys forward Hakudoshi's body reacts accordingly weaving in the opposite direction in rapid succession with each subsequent kick.The few glancing blows he received were in consequential,yet Illo may take notice in his skin starting to burn due to the Lightning from Haku.

☸ ☸ ☸Hakudoshi Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ Sage of The Illuminating Fang Hakudoshi's abilities and training versus Illo's;that's what all this came down too. Without his teleportation it was clear Hakudoshi was far more agile than his opponent. With his Lightning directly sending impulses to his nerves his reaction time was much quicker,his reflexes bypassing any normal hindrance. Illo's patterns were getting easier to read;weak feints to leave openings for the true attack. Effective,but easily countered. Hakudoshi's body drops down and
delivers a swift sweep of his opponents leg. The blow might be powerful enough to break it,but more likely it would disrupt Illo's balance.

Illo Not even close. Illo was much faster than that. His speed was enough to counter Hakudoshi's attacks before he powered up, so there was no real reason to think his body would move any slower just because he wouldn't zip through the air or teleport. By the time the sweep came at his leg--his back leg I'm assuming given the current positioning of the bodies--Illo would have already moved his hind leg into a forward knee aimed at Hakudoshi's face. He followed through, but kept his guard up at all times, following up with several elbows and sharp hooks to all directions of his head, ready at any time to deal with counter measures. These hits would be all but unavoidable and would come with the speed and power Illo was known for.
"Sloppy." The fire in his voice showed Hakudoshi this was the man who slaughtered countless demons with his fists; the fists would prove they were those same instruments of pain and death.

☸ ☸ ☸Hakudoshi Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ Sage of The Illuminating Fang Hakudoshi's body had already shifted from his previous position. He was not one to remain at such a disadvantageous spot considering his opponent. It was clear Illo's demenor had changed;Haku could start to sense his intention more clearly. With his back towards the opponent, Haku delivers a strong kick to the back of monks head while turning 360 degrees. Not only would his wavelength strengthen the kick,but the gathered force through rapidly spinning on a central point would greatly enhance the impact. Hopefully this would be enough to disorient the monk and allow Hakudoshi to shift to his front and follow thru. The follow thru would essentially be a three step kick, where after knocking the opponent's head in one direction with the initial blow, Hakudoshi follows up by rapidly spinning and kicking his opponents head in the opposite direction. The force from being knocked one way and the collision with the kick coming from the other side causes the damage dealt to an opponent to be two to three times than normal.

From his position it was a simple move for Illo to simply step through the knee and advance forward or move back should the need arise. So the need arose; Illo, being the technical master he was, wouldn't be ruffled that his opponent decided to try getting around his defenses. All he did was to was get his foot back on the ground and viola! He would avoid the kick with absolutely no trouble. Rather than continue this game Illo took a step back and motioned for Hakudoshi to advance. With his qi as concentrated as it was Illo was more than powerful enough to go toe to toe with Hakudoshi, but the purpose of the spar was not to beat the opponent senseless, only to edify both combatants. Illo's hand and foot speed greatly exceeded what could be seen through a simple trick like augmenting synapses' action potential, not to mention his technique made Hakudoshi do significantly more work for nothing. In agreeing to a match mano-y-mano Hakudoshi was biting off more than he could chew. At this point it should be obvious by Illo's expression that he was merely humoring him.
"Don't take me so lightly. You'll need real technique to defeat me." He voice was steely, just like before. He lowered his center of gravity by widening his stance, an age-old trick to ensure the trunk was secure and in a commanding position, his kick's reach would be at their most, and his hits would have the most power behind them. Let me reiterate: Illo's technique could not be matched. He decided it was time to up his power a little, taking it up to 20%. This increase, like the others, made it seem so Illo's power had increased a great deal more than five percent. If Hakudoshi thought hitting was rough before he'd be dealing with an absolute nightmare now.

Corvo Bianco Haku's first kick was behind Illo,and it's already established he couldn't keep up in that instance. Plus if you had him follow thru with kicks and jabs where Haku had been then Illo would be knocked forward from a kick from behind. Even if his "bodies like iron" he can't process and then react that quickly,or be that balanced to block all 4 kicks while releasing more power. I'm also not seeing how without using qi to specifically boost Illo's physical or sensory capabilities your able to react so fast,while also blocking Hakudoshi's Lightning all at once. I wasn't planning on winning but you've pretty much made continuing this spar pointless.

Illo had durability and technique over his opponent, while Hakudoshi's speed and reflexes made him tough to deal with regardless. Lucky for Illo he was as durable as he was, otherwise he wouldn't be able to last; having to take two or three hits before he could manage one. Hakudoshi was definitely the fastest thing he'd fought outside Bardo, and as it was the only way to really fight him was to read his movements as best he could and trap in some of his wing chun armlocks.
"So... Are you satisfied?" Illo said holding his guard up.

☸ ☸ ☸Hakudoshi Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ Sage of The Illuminating Fang Hakudoshi dematerializes sword emerges from his palm and the Lightning subsides. The young warrior had to resist his animal instinct,and regain his sense of self. His body begins reverting back to its orginal state,and his wavelength drops dramatically. Even if he couldn't feel pain pushing his body anymore would cause irreversible damage. He did well to last this long, but this might have served another purpose. If Haku was just a mere fraction of Ren,and considered himself as weak then just how powerful was the kitsune.
"
Heh. Yeah. I have a a lot farther to go if I want to actually defeat you." Hakudoshi draws the Chaos into his body slowly healing his wounds. He could feel Ren's pride in what he'd done,and for him that was enough. She would be coming to get him soon. He just needed to stay standing for abit longer.

... But it was all in good fun. A sparring match shouldn't come down to the last punch. Illo walked up to Hakudoshi and put a friendly hand on his shoulder.
"I wouldn't exactly say that..." He said giving a smile. His body had plenty of bruises and scratches to show he'd had no easy time either. "With some more training you could really put a technique like that to use!" Despite the prospect it held, Illo seemed overjoyed for Hakudoshi's becoming stronger.
"... You ok?" But eventually he would notice the look of fatigue on his opponent's face.

& Hakudoshi ☸ ☸ ☸R enyoku S hironami G itsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ I'm not in pain,and my body is starting to recover. Maintaining the Chaos,and my previous fight with my beloved sister took more out of me than I anticipated. However,as a sign of good faith,and by my honor as a Gitsune I will tell you something. The one who was granted the title of mothers right hand......is the Lord of Banmaden(The Place of Ten Thousand Demons). His soul resides in the palace,but his body is being carried in a special casket guarded by a powerful witch. If you see the casket I suggest you take your loved ones as far away from it as possible.
Hakudoshi's eyes suddenly glaze over with luminous indigo light and he reverts into a child-like state. From seemingly nowhere Ren appears,infront of Illo. She wasn't in her usual attire,and seemed to be in human form. The silver haired woman gently hugs her son,and secures him in her arms. Spreading her tails over him she begins using her own chaos to heal his body. Soon crystallization spreads across his entire form and Ren casts him into a Chaos Portal. Sighing out of relief she turns to the monk.

Illo hoped one day to study their physiology in greater detail, perhaps uncovering a few secrets for the sake of developing the martial arts his monastery seemed so keen on. All that aside, Hakudoshi seemed to have had a full day. Illo could only look to the future with great anticipation at what he might have done more rested.
"Shiroyash," Illo said with a simple nod. Illo had already powered down to a more relaxing level for the sake of conversation, but he wouldn't close his third eye until he was done here. And he was in no mood to play games. Narrowing his eyes, he would address what Ren had said earlier.
"Your prey, am I? You seem to enjoy antagonising me, that's for sure. ... Does it satisfy you?"

Ren looks puzzled;something that she rarely experienced. She searches her movies,and sighs. With a wave of her hand a glass like panel manifests itsself,and shows the image of a small child with white hair. The child resemblance to Ren was uncanny. As if caught in some kind of misdeed the child bows to Ren in apology while simultaneously smirking at Illo. Unlike Hakudoshi who seemed able to keep his primal instinct in check the look in the girls eyes was animalistic;as if she was looking at Illo like one might look at a savory meal.
Ah. I suppose your referring to me;although it was my little Hasuko who spoke thru my Haku. Mimicking me seems to be a good bit of fun for my little one. Hopefully she didn't rile you up to much. Kids are so hard to manage at times. No need to be so tense. I'm not so dishonorable as to attack you without provocation in your current state. (This is what he looks like under the robe. Sorry for not switching to this sooner. Also, please ignore crappy editing. lol ) Illo couldn't really believe what he was seeing. So much he'd built up in his mind this monster who'd discarded him, sneered at him, and then came to antagonise him that he was sure Ren was an evil he was absolutely meant to destroy--as was his title as demon slayer, but now this was some sort of joke, right? To say that whole life was a lie... Well, suffice to say it was a mighty big pill to swallow: the real world's way of telling you it likes you? It broke that hard line on his face, and soon the monk collapsed into a reclined seat made of air and telekinesis.
"You're saying all this... Wasn't you?" He began while running a hand through his thick hair. "So, when I said Tulpa...?" Illo would let her finish. Like it or know it or not, Illo found this stress was more from fear of having to hurt Ren than fear for his life. Did she know? Was this all an elaborate ruse to get the monk to care about Ren enough to... No. No, that couldn't be it. Looking at the monk, scars all over, Ren would be able to see a portrait of change and struggle and struggle to change carved on the otherwise pure marble that used to be Illo.
