Struggling to turn off the clock, he fell off his bed and plopped onto the floor. After taking care of refreshing himself and getting dress, he made his way out of his dorm room and into the hallways. Today was luckily a nice day without school, the teachers and staff were out and about celebrating a teacher's birthday or something of that manner. It didn't concern him so he let it be. Else wise he would be joining it with passion. Hmm, what would I eat today...wait its already ten...guess I'll skip breakfast for now and wait till lunch. Walking down a floor, he noticed a blue dress in the hallways below. There was only one person that could have that kind of dress. His memory came back to him as he got closer, he almost had forgotten that he became a full fledged meister yesterday. Boy oh boy...I think I should tell her more about myself, yesterday was just too quick. Izan was unsure still of what to say, but he started with a greeting. "Good morning Eva-chan, or afternoon...sorry I woke up late."
A voice broke through Eva's thoughts, and she nearly leaped out of her skin in surprise. She quickly spun around, and saw none other than Izan, standing not too far away. "Ah, good morning Izan!" At first, Eva was somewhat flustered, however she quickly worked to regain her composure. After replying, she smiled. "It's okay, I overslept, too." Still watching him, she paused in thought for a second. Though their exchange yesterday had been rather odd and seemed personal, Eva realized that she barely knew anything about him. Then, her stomach growled, and she realized that she hadn't eaten since before dinner last night. For some reason, it seemed to be much more difficult to think straight here; with all those people who had been following her around, she could barely think about where she was going, much less on what schedule she should be eating. But that would all change, now. Hopefully with a real partner, those people would stop following her around. Though she technically had a partner, she didn't feel any different than yesterday, save for the fact that she was up far later than most of her classmates.

This was rude and disturbing he bet, of all times it could happen, it just has to happen at this moment. All he had yesterday was some salad bowel and a doughnut. Other than that, it was just water and fruit juice, he'll have to stock up his fridge again. It was cheaper than buying lunch from the school, but he managed it for quite some time with his budget from his last mission. Although Eva and him agreed to be partners, he forgot to do something...oh yes..that thing. Death told him about the ritual that would link his soul and his partner's soul together, but Izan didn't pay much attention to it other than the part where you would have to say a vow etc and cut your palm and raise it to the center of their chest and let the souls link or something. Either way that thing could wait for later, right now he had to get some grubs. There wasn't much he could do, he didn't want to walk across town to get groceries. So the school's cafe would have to do for now. "You want to grab something to eat? I think we can talk a bit about ourselves while we eat, doncha think?"
When Izan offered for them to get something to eat, Eva looked at him in surprise. She realized that he probably heard her stomach growl, and she didn't want him to think any less of her for it. Then again, a nagging pain in the pit of Eva's stomach was trying to convince her to agree with his proposition. "Yeah, that sounds good!" she replied with her almost omnipresent sweet smile. It was not intentional on Eva's part to maintain this disposition, yet whenever she started talking it just kind of happened. That, and honestly she was still overjoyed by the fact that she had found a partner. Her quest had seemed almost futile, and before meeting Izan she had been that close to just dropping everything and settling for the nearest meister so she wouldn't get too far behind. Now, she finally had the perfect match, and nothing else seemed to matter. But then again many other things mattered. In particular food. "I'm afraid I don't know where the cafeteria is; could you lead the way?" she tilted her head sideways with a slightly embarrassed smile, hoping that he might be able to navigate the school better than she could. With no one else around, she couldn't just pull aside a random person to ask for directions.

But he had to maintain his hunger just for another brief moment. He wasn't so sure how she was feeling but he was kind of glad that he was able to pair up with someone of her caliber. Izan was quite happy and content to be able to talk freely to her. Most of the time he had to be super super respectful and such but with her around he was able to act normal. In class he had to be top notch and all, but now he felt like he didn't have to worry as much now that he had a partner. "Sounds like a plan then, I think its this way. But don't take my word for it, I'm not a Human GPS yet haha." Izan began to walk down the hallway towards the front entrance but then he took a left and started to walk up stairs and into an old gate elevator. "By the way, where are you from?" There he stopped and waited for her to enter before he went onto the next storage up.
When Izan told her not to necessarily count on him to flawlessly find his way, Eva laughed a light laugh. Still, since she had no idea how to get there herself, she figured she may as well just follow him. They arrived at the elevator, where Izan stopped outside. He turned to Eva, inquiring about where she was from. At first, she was flustered by this question, until realizing that it actually was quite a normal question to ask. With a slight pause, she smiled and replied, "I'm from nearby Santiago, in the Dominican Republic," she replied. It became clear that he was waiting for her to enter the elevator first, and so she stepped forward into the elevator. She would wait there for a moment until Izan entered the elevator as well. Then, she returned his question. "And you, Izan, where are you from?" It was a rather awkward and rigid question, but at the same time she couldn't exactly think of anything better to ask. That is, at least until she knew a little bit more about his background. As awkward as the first few questions might seem, since the two of them were partners, it would be important for them to at least know this much about each other. After entering the elevator, Eva's stomach nagged her again about finding food. I know, I know, jeez, she thought at her stomach. Hopefully he wouldn't hear her stomach growling. At this point, it would only make her look bad. This early in their interactions, she couldn't afford to have something like that ruin her image.

The gates were secure and the elevator awaited for their option for their designated relocating. Although he wasn't much of a talker, he thought it was nice that their day was just thinking about getting something to eat was their priority. So Eva is from the Santiago from Dominican Republic huh, he had heard that recently that tourist attraction, was infested with kishin recently. Perhaps this is also a part of her reason of coming to DWMA? This was interesting...matter of fact kind of cool if that was the case. He almost staggered when she asked him the same question, perhaps it was better to be truthful than make up a lie that he was from the city. "I'm from Kyoto, or should I say the old Kyoto..." The after taste of those words were bitter and tainted with blood almost. Maybe that or was it his anger that got the better of him and bit his inner lips. Izan then spoke out in a formally manner towards a bat on the ledge of the gate. "Floor D44 Sector 'Halls of Eden' please Bat-san." The elevator moved backwards and swung them to the left, bypassing multiple sectors and then up a two layers. Crap, this awkward silent is killing me. I gotta say something cool, maybe? Forget it...It'll just be lame and annoying. Lights and glamours life was being given off from each sectors with students, teachers, staffs hanging out a like. Some were doing shopping and some were just messing around the lot. Shortly they arrived at the cafe, though it was as large as a restaurant, it had the feel and atmosphere of a cafe. The cafe was also opened to the public which was accessible through the front doors of the place. Just that the students of DWMA gets another way to entering. The whole system of the town was linked with DWMA for instant support if anything should happen. Stepping out of the gate as it opened up, Izan looked for a table as he talked to Eva. "I dunno if we'll be able to get our lunches with this place so pack. But I think we'll manage it somehow. By the way, what would you like to eat out of your favorite dishes? My treat today, fair enough?"
Izan entered the elevator as well, and Eva moved a bit to be out of his way. He explained that he was from Kyoto, and seemed rather bitter about the fact. Undoubtedly, that meant that there was some sort of bad memory associated with the fact. Awkwardly, Eva looked at the ground. It hadn't been her intention to bring up any negative feelings, and she debated whether or not to apologize before settling into the awkward silence in the elevator. After a short ride, they arrived at the cafe and both stepped out. It was remarkably crowded, with people bustling around and almost every seat filled. At first, this was surprising however Eva figured that on a day off, it might be typical for students to be bustling around like this. Not only students, but other people as well. It was about brunch time, so those who woke up at a normal hour were probably preoccupying themselves with their almost-not-really meal right now. As they looked for a table, Izan said that he'd pay. It seemed rude to accept this, however Eva realized that she didn't bring any of her own money. "Um, I'll just have whatever is fine... I can pay you back later if you want." Especially this early on, Eva didn't want to be a burden. The fact that she had forgotten money was not only stupid, but it made her feel like an outright fool in front of him. She wasn't that much of an airhead, it was just that she was still sleepy... or at least that's what she told herself as she looked at Izan apologetically.

He didn't mean to upset her, nor cause her worries. But it looks like he had already begun the streak of ill-memories. He felt kind of secluded from the world as Eva and him stood there in the cafe. He should have been more careful, but her looking that way was far too depressing. The people's chitchatting masked her voice, but to him, he could hear her perfectly within all the echoing distractions. Izan smiled to reassures her that she did no harm. He walked on back to her and waved his left hand in-front of her to get her attention. While smiling with a hint of wise-guy, Izan slurred his words a bit with his French/Scottish fake accent. "Ya doing good lass..., don't worry bout it. This isn't the time to be pondering bout, shall we eat then?" With that said Izan walked on over to the counter and order up two veggi-burgers and some baked fries, along with a bit of salad to go with it. As for the finishing tough, each an ice-cream cone. The waitress directed him towards an open table, where he walked on over and sat on the other end. He wasn't so sure if she'll be okay, maybe she wasn't hungry anymore?
The silence between them was immensely awkward, and Eva was deep in thought about their relationship in general. Maybe all partnerships started out this way. After all, the idea behind being meister and weapon with someone was rather personal, and the fundamental groundings of the academy were in the quick partnerships made. Did fate craft the alliances, or were they all forced in one way or another? Suddenly, there was a hand in front of her faced and Eva startled back in surprise. Before she could apologize, he broke into a fake sort of accent, and Eva couldn't help but giggle. He sounded totally ridiculous, but in a weirdly cute sort of way. Instead of replying, she simply smiled and nodded. She followed him to order, and proceeded to sit across from him at the empty table. Her stomach continued to nag her to eat, but at the same time it was such a kind gesture to buy the food that Eva felt she should say something. "Um, thank you for this meal," she replied awkwardly. She had read someplace that that was what people in Japan said before meals, and thought it might be appropriate to say so. Then, Eva proceeded to take a bite from the veggie burger. She didn't particularly love fries, and thus quietly chewed. While she chewed, the thought about whether or not to ask any more questions. After eating about half the burger, she asked, "So... um... why did you choose to come to the DWMA?"
