oh, a thought did kind of influence my mind just now... so, I assume the goal of people here is to beat the elite four and return to the human world, but if you would assume that people enjoy the pokemon world, doing so would also crush them.
so then, one can safely say that characters might eventually start doing there own things, such as Wally's character returning to his hometown or perhaps traveling on his own if his condition gets better, and in a way, breaking from the group except to see them again every once and a while if they re meet up.. I don't currently want to break from my group, but just follow the example...
so, when I return to a lower lever place, and my pokemon are, in effect, levels upon levels higher... how will the damage system work? if my 20 or so level Ralts/Kirlia/Gardeavor attacks a level 5 Wormple using Confusion, would that still only do 50 damage, or would it do much more?

I'm guessing it would do more damage, but that's from my experiance. Also, it's not just the elite four they have to defeat, they have to stop Team Magma and Aqua, which means, facing Kyogre and Groudon. and I doubt with how fast this rp is going, that it'll be the end, I bet it would be fun to have them transported to Unova to deal with Team Plasma, or even back to Kanto and Johto.

Ah, it totally suck's there's an argument going on about the battle system. I mean, you guy's are actually getting stressed out to the point where your thinking of quitting. I don't think the system's a problem since like stated before, the number of words you write is how much you add onto the exp bar. I know some people(Including me) might want to try power leveling a bit, but it takes time to. You can't just expect to get all the way to lvl 30 when it's only been one day(Especially if your fighting weak lvl 2-4's) so just calm down and enjoy the game.
I kinda would like to suggest the lvl method my other guild uses, but it's pretty different/doesn't really involve that much description of a battle. I don't really like it that much, but it does get lvling done. The way it work's is that you level up every 10 regular posts you've made. It's obviously simple, though since this is a literate guild, it would kinda be disappointing seeing a bunch of weak small posts.

Then would it be 10 battles equals a lvl?
or
Just 10 post period equals a lvl for one Pokemon?

IF we're playing by real life nature. I'd say 10 posts in general, Pokemon grow like normal animals and humans, so they probably level while they grow. Iunno. LOL! A Breloom can kill an asian Elephent..

I can't believe I actually wrote that mess, and that you guy's actually agreed to it. Well if it pretty much settles thing's with Jolon then I guess it's fine. I just want to bury that post in this endless sea of chattering.
