Vasilisa smiled as she was being escorted and when Rose told about her hair color - and Benjamin kindly explained - Vasilisa had to speak. "I understand you with the unique colors." Her own hair was shining pink in the sun, even if it was just the pearl-like effect. She was smiling looking at the flowers and everyone when she saw Prince Owen clutch his throat. "Oh-no." She muttered softly and let go of Benjamin to run after Riordan. "Excuse me a moment!" She yelled out to Benjamin as she began to run off. He must think it's his fault. I heard of the young prince's illness but this must be so scary for the both of them. She held on tightly to the skirt of her dress, lifting it so she could run with ease. She made it to the room in time to watch Loa walk away and she heard the king's voice. She stood in the doorway and knocked. "May I come in?" She looked at the younger prince softly and asked what she was wondering. "Do you feel a bit better?" She knew he probably was in a bit of pain but, she still had to ask. She curtsied to the king and bowed her head. "Vasilisa Ruslana Efrim," She hoped the King at least remembered her as she stood up straight.

Owen frowned a bit when Lady Vasilisa appeared, but only because he wanted to be around his family, not her, no matter how pretty she was. Still, when she arrived, Owen made an effort to be polite. "Yes," He murmured, and since he was a child, added under his breath. "I'm breathing, aren't I?" Owen glanced up at her, before muttering. "Sorry. I don't feel good." Owen was ashamed that he was acting like a child, but couldn't stop it. He was tired and dying and just wanted to be around people he didn't have to pretend with.

Alicea gave a grin, loving to be with her husband to be. "I knew you would cuz your amazering like that." she nodded before Owen held his throught. "Owen? Owen, what's wrong?" She asked as Loa scooped him up, the prince rushing to him just before Loa flew away. Riordian ran a the little girl's eyes filled with tears, "Wha- hapen?" "Yes." Rose had said, a butterfly landing on her finger as if it had always known her, "They are my favorite animals." She had never seen so many butterflies at once. They were rarely seen in the town. It wasa small paradise for her. When Owen started gasping the butterfly fluttered away and she stayed ack, hoping that the little fellow would be allright. She knew that too many people comming near would make things worse instead of better. Benjamin nodded Vasilisa ran off. He understood that he needed to be there with them. Kyle Alexandr miled happily at the word, picturing Loa surrounded by flower of all colors. He was in a bit of a dae when she let go of the tiny boy's hand. At first, he was sad, but saw the little boy gasping. Something was wrong...he had noticed the oy liked flowers like him, but now he was breathing funny. Was that what made him sick? He remembered a boy who sneezed a lot when flowers were blooming...maybe it was something like that... The family followed the others in time to see the sniviling doctor get puched...for what he deserved most likely. They stayed out of the way as the prince and the king came in. Tony and Melody tried to hold back Alecia, who was in tears. "My suitor in there...he;s crying cuz he' sick. He needs his wife!" she exclaimed, wriggling out of her parents grips, and running into the room, "It's gonna be otay, Owen! peopwe get sick sometimes, but they get better, and you'll get better, and I'll be here till you get better, I pwomis." she spoke through her tears in a small, whining voice. Kyle Alexander noted that the little boy did like the plants. He couldn't see them much...maybe cuz he got sick often. Kyle Alexander knew lots of plants, including ones that never bothered the sneezing boy. They may make a good gift in hopes of him getting well. Loa moved right passed him, and Kyle Alexander noticed the sad look. He wanted to help this boy get better more than ever now...this boy was important to Loa, so he was important to Kyle Alexander. Rose went in to stay by Alecia so she wouldn't do anything too foolish, "I apologize, your majesty, and highness. She has gotten very attached to little Owen." she nodded, smiling at him, "I'm glad to see your looking better already." She spoke with the same soft voice her mother used earlier, "Get some rest, and I'm sure you will be all better in no time."
Shade stopped in his tracks, "I do not much enjoy teasing...and I'm not more stuffy than an elf." he muttered the last part in a hurt tone before the other spoke...Sophie, he believed. He could hardly refuse such a kind request, "Very well..So long as there will be no more questioning of my honor as a gentalman, I would be honored to escort two ladies. I hope you do not mind that I am not much speaking company. My father is more the chatterbox than I, but I will try to be decent company."

Vasilisa nodded to Owen. "It's alright, I'll let you be." She walked out as Benjamin and his family walked in and she pulled Benjamin aside by the hand. "Prince Owen doesn't really want to be bothered by anyone." She smiled at him. "Would you mind accompanying me instead. I wish to know more about you."

Riordan sighed and looked to the Mureno family, "Can I please ask that anyone not family please leave?" He looked to Alecia, "He'll be able to talk to you later. He'll be just fine." He said, tears in his eyes and he looked back to Owen, "You hear me? You're strong. You'll be just fine Owen." He then looked to his father, "Father, its my fault. I suggested we go outside. Even Owen knew better, but I asked him anyway. I'm such a fool father." Riordan said as he stood. "I don't think I have the right to call him my brother." He said before gently squeezing Owens hand, "You will get through this. I don't give a damn what the doctor said. He was a fool. You'll be just fine. I'm sorry." He said before standing and turning to leave.

Hearing Alecia out in the hallway, Owen weakly wiped away his tears. "Th-thank you Miss Alecia, but I'd like to sleep right now." When Riordan assured him he'd be fine, Owen gave a weak smile. "Maybe." Watching as Rio blamed himself, Owen shook his head. "No, it's not his fault. I could have kept saying no, but I wanted to go outside." Owen grabbed his hand. "You'll always be my brother." As Rio turned to leave, Owen closed his eyes and whispered, "I'm sorry I couldn't beat it..."
Kennard watched the guilt eat one son and as sleep overtook the other. No one had ever warned him that children were such a heartbreak. As Owen slept, Kennard shook his head and stood. "Don't blame yourself, boy. This is my fault, for having him so late." He pushed hair out of his face. "Damn near killed your mother, and now he can't breathe." Kennard rested his hand on Rios shoulder, a gesture of affection. "He-He'll be fine. He's no more close to dying than I am." Kennard walked towards the hallway limply, his spirit broken.

In Owens doorway hearing his brother apologize and his father lament his own life Riordan slammed his fist against the wall and turned to face both his father and brother his eyes glinting with rage. "I don't want to hear that talk from either of you." He snapped. He looked to Owen, "You will beat it. And you will be strong." He then looked to his father, "And never apologize for giving me a younger brother. And don't speak so casually about your life. Not when you have so much of it left ahead of you, father." He looked back and forth between both of them. "I hear enough of that talk from the nobles speaking behind my back. I will not hear it from own family right in front of my face." he said. He would normally never speak so harshly against either one of them, But if they lost hope then who could lean on to help him keep his own hope?

Kennard jumped and looked at Rio when he punched the wall, noticing as a trickle of blood slid down the wall. Kennard was shocked that his son was so vehement about this, and glanced over at Owen as Rio snapped at him. The boy looked shocked, and then he fell back asleep, wearied. Kennard's gaze returned to Rio as he snapped at him. It was a startling sight, having your son half your age tell you off. One he hadn't seen since the same son had called him a heartless monster for refusing to shelter a 3 year old girl, beastial or no. Straightening, Kennard seemed to gain spirit again, in the form of rage. "I will not be spoken to as such by my own kin." Kennard said, but he put a hand on Rio's shoulder. "Unless I need it. Thanks son." Kennard turned to walk away, to give Owen some peace, when a messenger arrived.
"Your Majesty, your highness, the nobles await you in the meeting hall." "What?" Kennard swung around, rage returned. "My son has an episode and they want to talk politics with me?" "I-I'm afraid so sire. They insist that though you're a father, you are their king first." "Why I oughta...." Enraged, Kennard swung towards the hallway, storming off in the direction of the meetinghall to tell off his court.
The messenger glanced at Prince Riordan, shuddering. "Th-they insisted upon your presence as well, s-sire."

Alecia nodded, understanding the idea of being tired, "Get better, kay!" she hoped as Rose carefully toted her out of the room, the tiny girl blowing a kiss to her beloved. Tony noted the king's reaction. He wanted to do as the king asked, but the man also knew the heartache of watching a child in pain, and being able to do little if anything. Flashes went past of mornings when Rose would come with deep cuts, or screaming in her sleep as Benjamin tried to wake her with little avail. There were nights when she gasped for breath as another chocked her, or several bruises from being hit. Tony bit his lip, knowing the pain all too well, and the releif of seeing a child with so much strife growing up through it all. That's why he held hope for this little boy. "My King, if you would like some time, we could talk, father to father. I for one agree with Riordan. Owen will be well. He's a strong little guy, if you don't mind my saying. I understand that now is not the est time...but any time you need to talk, father to father. I'll be more than happy to talk." "Allright...I suppose there's not much more we can do." Benjamin noted, simliar flashes that his dad had going into his own head, but he shook them away. He lead Vasilisa away, "Where would you like to go to talk?" he asked. Rose watched her mom, Melody, hold Kyle Alexander's hand as she took Alecia to hold the slightly whimpering girl. Melody calmly hushed her little girl. She knew Rose would come when ready. Rose stayed by her father, wanting to help Riordan somehow. Leaving, though wished for, just didn't feel right. "With all due respect, I would rather stay with you. It seems to me that you need a friend now more than ever." If the king were not there, Rose may have smacked the prince upside the head for how he was acting. The yelling would not make hings better. She often smacked Benjamin any time he yelled as well...it seemed to work in her favor. She understood Riordan's frustration, but knew it better from Owen's perspective...the idea of dying when you were young..going to sleep every night wondering if you would wake in the morning at all, and, if you did wake, how much pain you would be in...but there were also the wonderful days, the days when you would wake up with no marks, feeling happy to have slept. There were days with nothing but gardens and butterflies and no pain. The problem was never knowing which. Over time, she gained better control over her power, and nw the attacks were rare, but still she could be caught off guard. When the king thanked Riordan, Rose was surprised, but happily. Maybe it was allright to shout if it was to remind both that life was precious. She still felt he needed to have a better outlet for his anger, but he was a great guy over all. The messanger came, and the king became angry all over again as Owen slept, going to the meeting...a king has to be king, after all. She bit her lip, wishing there was more she could do to help. The messanger arrived, seeming scared to tell the prince after the king's reaction, "Rose and I would be honored to keep an eye on Owen while you are away, my prince." Tony offered with a bow. "If you will allow us the honor."

Riordan smirked to his father. "You did need it. You and Owen both. I'll not let either of you die anytime soon." He said before the messenger showed up. He glared at the man, and clenched his bleeding fist, tightly. "Why am I needed? In case they can't get to my father they'll try to get to me?" He snapped, before an idea came to him. "I will show up. Oh, and send a messenger to find Jeremy Revelin. Tell him that I have personally requested his presence." He said smirking as the Messenger scurried away. "I can vex the nobles, Demitri, and get the nobles off my back all in one fell swoop. Who knew that I could be this devious?" he then looked to Rose, realizing that she had spoken, "I suppose I could use a little company. But Its going to be a very boring political meeting. Me and my father fending off political tirades from everyone who thinks we have wronged them."

[ Rose nodded, "Dad will look after Own, then." she smiled, before going up so she could whisper to the prince, "Look, I know I'm new to this whole nobel thing, but isn't annoying and angering the people who are already wavering on loyalty a bad idea? I mean, I know you are mad...really mad, and I get it, but you need to calm down and think logically. Those people are not that stupid doctor. None of them made Owen the way he is. Chances are, they have yet to hear that he had an attack, so there's no reason to blame them. There's no one to blame, Riordan...It's was an accident, and we can't let it affect your judgement, allright?" Rose spoke as wisely as she felt she could. From what she could tell, Nobels were like town gossipers...able to bend with each passing whisper, and this shout would get them to lean away from the royal family, making things get worse...at least, that's how it semed to her so far.

Riordan smiled, "Miss Rose, I will do nothing to openly antagonize them. I am actually doing something I should have done a long time ago. It just happens that Jeremy, my close friend will be perfect, and it will just happen to piss them off. And it will give Jeremy a chance to annoy Demitri." He said the final part in a soft whisper, "Are you sure you want to come along? As I said, its a boring political meeting. Though, when Jeremy shows up I'm sure you'll find that things will get much more interesting."

Vasilisa smiled. "I don't really mind. mind. Anywhere is fine. I just would like to get to know you better. Considering you are new to the noble status and all, it'd be nice to know someone." She looked at him inquisitively and spoke once more. "We can ask each other questions, like a childhood game."

Sophie finished applying the past and produced knew bandaging material from her satchel. She wrapped the wounds and tied the bandage tight enough to stay in place but allow her some range of motion. The girl seemed like she'd be one to need it. "I shall count on it." She replied to the girl with a wink. Standing she titled her head slightly to look at the boy. "How chivalrous of you but before offering an escort one should really know the destination." She remarked knowing hers was a bit farther than many would think.
Demitri looked up from his book when Loa entered the room. He closed the book and held it at his side. "Thank you for coming. I'll not mince words as we both are busy. I know of about your plans to find help for Prince Owen. Please do not play dumb about it as you and I both know you're smarter than that." He stated his demeanor giving no hint about his feelings toward it. "Would you care to elaborate some of the details? You have my word that our conversation will not leave here." He asked as his monkey scurried up his leg to perch itself on his shoulder.

Loa kept a straight face as he spoke to her, her face revealing no emotion towards his statement either. Underneath, her skin was crawling, but she was confident. Listening to him, Loa flickered a glance at the monkey. She would not dwell on wondering how he had found out- he no doubt had ears all over the palace. "Very well, I will not play dumb." She calmly stated, continuing, "But in answer of your question, no I would not care to elaborate." She gave a respectful bow. "And please take no personal offense, sir, but I have learned one should not trust another on their word alone." Loa held his gaze for just a moment, before dropping it and giving one more bow. "I best be getting back to his highness." Out of respect, though, she did not yet turn to leave.
