Bakura smiled a little as Ryou took off. Running after him, he was almost on top of him when he saw the person rounding the corner and stopped dead in his tracks. Ryou mean while hit head on.
"You okay Ryou?"
He stood above the teen looking down at him with slight concern.

Ryou blushed and immediately began apologizing, but was suddenly hoisted up by the front of his shirt. It was a regular street rat that he had collided with, the man overly pissed off that he was knocked over. "Hey fool watch where ya going, ya wanna get shanked f**?!" He yelled in Ryou's face, the smaller male paling worse then he already was as he dangled from the mans grip.

Bakura was very angered by what was happening and was very protective.
"Ryou. I'll take it from here."
He gave some warning as he steooed into the ring and gentally pulled ryou to the background of his mind. he wasn't going to take a threat like that lightly. Even if Ryou was stronger than he had been he was going to show that he was going to be different this time around.
"The only person any threat of being shanked it you."
Grabbing the mans shirt he palmed his nose to get him looking upwared then kneed him in the groin.

Naturally the mans eyes went wide and his pupils shrank, pain flaring up like no other. He dropped Bakura and crouched to cover his ' jewels ', moaning in pain on the ground.

Bakura landed on his feet and took a few step back watching the man before he went to walk away. With a threatening tone he spoke as he left.
"Next time think before you act punk. This was a warning."

"I-I'll make you pay later, when you least expect it!" The man threatened, glaring at Bakura angrily and promising to make him regret it.

Bakura took head of the threat but outwardly ignored him as he walked on. Releasing his hold on Ryou he slipped out to walk by him.
"I should have thought that through more..."
He knew now that Ryou might have anziety for being jumped but he was going to do his best to prevent that.

Ryou of course was having a fit at the thought of angry gang leaders and other undesirables now after him, but he knew it couldn't be helped. He would have probably burst into tears within a few seconds because even though he had become a well thief he was still a wimp, he didn't do confrontation very well.

Bakura sighed knowing it was a lose lose situation he was in. If he hadn't stepped in Ryou would have most likely had been shanked. However now there was a threat of being jumped at any moment.
"I'll take care of that mess when it gets here Ryou...I started it."
Besides he needed to vent five years of missing Hiraki, protecting it would work just fine while beating the crap out of others.

Ryou groaned but they finally got to the place he wanted to go to, an all you can eat Sushi Bar that had the rotating wheel the brought the fish around in a circle. Grabbing a seat at the bar he ordered Sake and eagerly spied the shrimp, crab, and fatty tuna that he could see coming his way.

bakura looked around as Ryou sat down. The place looked pretty nice. as he joined him in the ring he looked at the sushi coning down the line.
"I understand eating it like that for survival, but raw fish as a delicasy is something I will never figure out about this world."

'......You just gotta find your favorite one!.......' He said through their mind link, his chopstick snapping out and grabbing a crab roll and popping it into his mouth. All thoughts of gangs and trouble of any kind were gone from his mind, he was good at putting things off like that.

With a sigh he stepped into the hall way so he could taste a little of what Ryou was eating, seeing if he liked any of it.

"I am. You really like the shrimp.....At least I think it's shrimp I can't see the through the ring from here."
To bakura the rice had more flavor then the meat and that was a crime against nature. Along with that he couldn't really tell the difference between Shrimp wraped in rince in seaweed, and shirm on rice tiered with a ribbon of sushi. They sated a lot alike.
