Yeah, I was reading this month's issue of GameInformer, and they talked about the creator of FF showing a new FF game this month at the Japan convention, but they didn't say what game... it might be that one, or it could be an all new one. Who knows?

Who knows? Vincent is the main char. in this game, and its an action game, so its not an rpg. So maybe it is the game you were reading about.

I'm kind of excited about it, though I'm wondering how many of the original characters (if any) will show up. They'll also be unveiling Before Crisis at the game show, so I kind of want to go. o.o DA

Here's exactly what it says in the magazine...
September 24 Tokyo Game Show 2004 (September 24-26) Travel to the Nippon Convention Center for the largest video game convention exposition in Japan. Word has it that Sony will have playable PSP's on the floor, and Square Enix may just show off a new Final Fantasy game that is a complete departure for the series.
Yeah, they don't actually know if they will or not, they are handling it like a rumor, but I hope there is a new game and it is not like that FF:11 where it is completely online...

Honestly i dont think the final fantasy 11 should be considerd a part of the series, It should be just called Final Fantasy online or something.

I agree, it was pretty dumb having an online only game in the series... I really don't think they even made alot of money off of it, because I never heard anyone getting excitied it as coming out.

What weighs a ton, cost a million dollars, has wheels, and flys?
What time is it when an elephant sits on your fence?

Trine_Edogawa Honestly i dont think the final fantasy 11 should be considerd a part of the series, It should be just called Final Fantasy online or something. I have kind of a theory about the Final Fantasy series. To me, it seems that every third game in the numbered series has been cursed. I&II were great, that's what started the series. III never really got popular. Although I've never played IV or V, I haven't heard anything negative about them, but I didn't like VI either. VII and VIII were obviously very popular, but IX wasn't. Here's where it gets tricky. Although it would seem that the next cursed game would be XII, you have to remember that X and X2 were different games, but they were both in the numbered series. This means the curse falls on XI, not XII. XIV, if the series is still going by then, will be the next unpopular game.
