Woah, how sweet is this. After researching the origin and meaning of certain words, and by using a little creative license, my name means "The Raven of God who has Fallen from the Light"

Hmmm Gaia, how did that post taste? Was it delicious and crunchy??
First it's the Sushi, and now it's the Cheese_Archive database??
What the crow!?!?

Oh! Judyfay, I've finished my submission to your contest! Well...I want to show black areas, but I don't want to colour it...Hmmm...It's mostly done at any rate! Should I colour it??

lucky you
I have such a boring name... It means "Lighter"

Is it just me or is there something wrong with the PMs? I just got a PM notice and I have no new mail in my inbox confused

Ok so I had kinda had ideas about these things before, and knew some of them, but I never knew them for sure. I was just reading the rules and regulations for shops, and came across this section, which is very usefull for the us here in the editors guild. I am sure alot of you know this stuff, but since I didnt know it till now, I am sure there are others who dont.

This is taken directly from the minishops rules and regulations page.
I have highlighted text I feel important to point out.

This section deals with the use of commercial artwork of gaiaonline.com. The official artwork is defined as the avatars, avatar clothes, borders, Rock Puppy, etc. It does NOT include any user-created art found on gaiaonline.com, such as user's signatures or entries to the Art Arena.

The official artwork, including avatars, and layout flourishes may be used and modified within the forums of gaiaonline.com, only. In other words, Avatar edits are OK in minishops, as long as they are used only within gaiaonline.com (not the Art Arena), and credit is not taken for the original image outside of forums of gaiaonline.com. (IE: you should not post them on Deviantart, or other such sites. Personal sig pages are OK.)

Images found in the signatures, sig-pages, forum posts, personals posts, art-arena posts, minishops or breedable pet stores of other users may not be saved, sold, edited, or otherwise used by you, in your signature, minishop, or breedable pets store, outside of the agreements between you and the owner/creator.

Gaiaonline.com images may not be edited and displayed in any way which may misrepresent Gaia's policies and theme. This includes, but is not limited to avatar edits which are completely nude, sexual, or nude and poorly censored, showing the shape, outline or colouring of genitals, nipples or pubic hair.

In shops, this agreement is generally that if you pay for a graphic, to the creator, you have the right to use it, unedited, for its intended purpose, only, and not claim ownership.
If no other agreement is posted, the creator is protected by the terms of the preceding agreement.

This applies to any parts of images found in the signatures, sig-pages, posts, minishops or breedable pet stores of other users.

So that should clear up some things. I removed the few edits I had posted on Devart. It is also good to know that in the event of someone editing your edits, you can actually present them with the rules they are breaking. I hope at least someone here is as informed by this as I am.

that whole thing is actually the same rules as just general international copyright laws...... >_>

but usually I am too mean/tired/lazy to report or warn people anymore..... I used to do this in the art forum and people shunned me and the other such responsible knowledgible individuals..... and sometimes worse than just shunning.... (which could get em temporaily banned and other things if i brought it up)..... but whatever...... people are dumb/stubborn/ignorant and have dangerous levels of all three sometimes......

If anyone has any questions about copyrights or trademarks.....which gaia does have a TM on their logo, so they are beyond just registered copywritten powers, they have super sueing powers too now XD.......... just feel free to ask me...... 3nodding
