NPC 1: Amaya Miyamoto
Striding up to the office at the base of the gates, I smiled as I leaped from the head of guard to guard, landing spryly at the microphone station. Chortling at the discord I'd caused, I made a quick announcement. "Would All Gennin please report to the gate staging area. We've got a field trip to go on!"Clicking the microphone off, I sighed and sat down in a comfy chair, waiting for the first of the younglings to arrive.

As a small box poofed into my arms, I smiled. "Yes hon, I called. what's your name?"

an ethreal image of a man appeared to those who had seen the real Lucas before would recognize the image as being him.
"hello. oh. gan. nice to see you. when do you think we'll get some training. oh. are you going out? can i come? i'm tired of training my jutsu and would love a chance to go out again."
the image said in a reverbrating deep voice.

"Very good then! We're going to be going on a field trip, since Mamoru wants you Gennin to see a large scale battle. It'll be interesting for sure. I have to go along to keep you safe though, so that's a drag. Ah well..." I sighed, then stared at the image. "Oh, it's young Lucas! So grown up now... Sure you can come, I'll leave a note for Mamoru. Head down to the gate's office, so we can head out."

Howaido showed up having been conscripted from his nap by an anbu, he was apparently given the mission or at least requested by Ganchou. He stretched easily and waved to Amaya,"I was told Ganchou requested me to report here for the mission. I dont see him though, did they move on ahead or am I to help you guide the gennin?"

as the ethreal image of lucas dissapeared he soon appeared in person.
"so what's this large scale battle i hear about? i'm sure i'd be able to get a few good tactics from it. at the very least i'll be able to perform tactical assessments without getting in the way."
he said not mentioning his perception field technique. no one would know. amaya may if she knoticed him use it or any sensor with a powerful enough sensory technique.

James looked to the woman that summoned him here. "What exactly are fe going to do? Are we just going to observe or do we have a part to play in the mission?"

Lucas reacted almost instantly to the boy's question using what he knew fom the previous mission.
"if you get to participate dont expect to do much. the jonin tend to want to fling themselves ahead of us without caring about what it would do to give us more skill in dealing with situations."
he said and pulled out his steel knife to play with. he balanced it on one finger then flung it in the air to be caught with the tip between his teeth standing straight in the air held only by his jaw. then thrown back into the air and caught by the pomelle between two fingers then flipped back and repeated.

James nodded, and watched the other boy perform his tricks. If this goofball and Ganchou could make it, Then James was going to be just fine.

I sighed, and said "Sadly, I've been instructed to keep you out of harms way. You're only going to be observing, so we both have to stay out of the way. It's going to be booorrringg... but nothing else I can do. It'll be nice to watch the extermination of an entire encampment though, I'll even bring some popcorn!" Smiling at Lucas's tricks, I looked around for a few minutes, as if searching for someone.

"gan. if possible can't i take some out? i'm not a genin. and you know better than san or sarus would that i'm capable. if only silas were here me and him would be able to stay alive very easilly. any updates on his condition? no one has bothered to tell me anything."
he said sheathing his knife again.

"Sadly, No and Yes, but only if they get injured James. As for your friend Lucas... I believe I saw him strolling in the direction of the Kage's office not a long time ago. He's probably still there now. I'm sure he's fine, we have one of the best medical facilities in this dimension!" She exclaimed, before taking out a file and filing her nails down a bit. "Sorry, I'm waiting on one last person..."
