Alyosha's ears pricked as he heard a quiet voice within the centre. He had slept well the night before and had been up since early, finishing most of his work before lunch. Muttering quietly to himself about "damned tourists" he wandered out of his apartments and into the main centre, coming to face a young man with yellow hair and wide blue eyes who looked somewhat lost.
He sighed a little "something I can help you with?"

Kiro blinked at the appearance of the man before him, instantly intimadated even though nothing had been actually done to make it that way. He felt his feline tail sweep quietly about his ankles as he nodded gently, glancing at the letter in his hand to be certain he had the name right before speaking.
"I'm looking for... 'Alyosha'... I have a letter for him... Where could I find him?"

"That would be me" he replied, his head tilting a little way to one side, curious now. He hadn't noticed the tail, nor he ears for a moment. Too much in his mind, must be.
He reached out with one arm towards the boy. "Well, let me see this letter of yours then" he said.

"Oh, uh right..."
Kiro held out the letter to Alyosha, blushing a little. Why was he so uncomfortable around people he didn't know? Well... maybe it had something to do with the fact he wasn't only representing himself...
"Professor Ataro sends his regards as well sir... he says he sent..." Then a pause of realisation. "Sent a letter ahead of me..."

"Ataro?" Alyosha blinked, grasping the letter quickly and opening it swiftly. He scanned over the piece of paper, looked up at Anakiro then back to the letter. He folded it up with a light smile. "I see... the boat doesn't make the deliveries so fast..." he trailed off, wondering what to do with the boy.
"Well, Kiro-kun" he addressed the boy, looking around whilst trying to make his mind up. "I'll tell you what why don't we find you a room for now.. you can relax from your journey.."

Kiro nodded slightly, the added '-kun' making him warm a little more to Alyosha. Ataro called him '-kun', and the fact Alyosha had also done it served as a good sign.
He tipped his head lightly and murmured, his voice quiet, "Thanks..." He then raised his head again, his tone holding a note of worry and remembering Alyosha's brief sigh when they had very first met. "I'm not being a bother am I?"

"no,no forgive me if I seem wary of strangers... there have been a few 'strays' around here lately." he grinned now, heading towards the spare rooms. "Follow me, i'll take you to the rooms, not too hard to find."

Nodding, Kiro again hoisted his bag more securely onto his shoulder. Unknowingly, he wound his tail up until it was high enough for him to take in a hand - and he did so, not even realising he was doing it, as he followed Alyosha with a quiet air.

Alyosha stepped into the corridors which contained the doors to six rooms. He wasn't sure which one David had been staying in but surely that would be easy to find out..
"Well, you can pick any one you like, Kiro-kun. There's another man staying at the moment i'm not sure which rooms he's in but that leaves you five to choose from." Alyosha smiled a little "They're all the same, anyway. It'll only be temporary.. If you're going to be here a while we'll see about getting you a more... spacious residence. Sorry there's nothing bigger at the moment."
He pondered for a moment. "The kitchen is linked to from the main room too, take what you want, there's a bathroom at the end of the corridor which also leads to the hot baths and feel free to roam the Island if you wish to explore. My room is, well i'm sure you seen where I came from, yes? Feel free to pop by if you need anything. I'll bring you some research papers, and other things tommorow morning, you can get to work. Rest up just now, though."

Kiro nodded gently as he took the information in, surprised that his opinion of Alyosha had changed in such a short period of time.
At the suggestion of rest, Kiro nodded gratefully. He hadn't realised it until a few minutes ago, but he was pretty tired. Maybe that was why he was feeling so timid? Perhaps...
He glanced down the corridor, instinctively heading for the 'guest-room' furthest down and to the right-hand-side. Before he pushed the door open, slowly in case this was the one in use, he turned back, offering a slight smile and another brief tip of his head, the action making his tired ears flop forward a little. "Thank you." He then went inside the room, gently closing the door behind him.

After her last teleport to this island, she had decided that teleporting into a guest room was not the best idea... especially since she couldn't remember which one Orian had been in. After a long day of some sorry excuse for a class for the half-dead she decided to appear in the hall and knock on the doors was the best option. Oh, what a witty idea indeed!
As soon as she appeared in the hall she found herself... right... next to... him. Completely startled and caught unawares, her attempt to half-dash away and hide only ended in her flustered and landing on her arse with a loud thud.
Maybe it was good she had no biological children. sweatdrop

Alyosha looked down at Sy. He blinked a little, no longer startled by her sudden appearances. "Hello, Sy" he grinned, his eyes looking almost predatory.
"And how is our little kitty this morning?"

With the same quiet air that he'd conducted himself so far, Kiro glanced about the room. His thought track was about to aim in the direction of sleep, when a loud thump sounded outside his door.
Instinctively, in a feline reaction, Kiro turned towards the door, his white ears pressing back a little, his tail curling about an ankle. Then he relaxed. He was just tired. But he did want to know what the thump had been - curiosity being one of his traits.
He pulled open the door gently, peering out with a silent - yet quizzical - expression.

redface Her cheeks flushed at his look, but then she quickly became indignant at being called a "kitty." Why did everyone INSIST on calling her such degrading names that just had to relate to her feline side? She didn't call them little boys, did she?
"I'm not a kitty!" She gave him a half-hearted glare and jumped to her feet a little too quickly, but she gained her balance just in time to spot another man looking at her from a guest room. Were they multiplying? Oh gods, what a horrible first impression she was making.
"S-s-sorry to disturb you," she mumbled, embarassed a little for having obviously bothered this poor young man. It was all really Alyosha's fault, though.

Alyosha smiled a bit. So that was one of her buttons eh? He made a mental note.
"What should I call you then... p***y?" he said, with the most innocent voice he could muster. Before she could answer he swpt past her, heading speedily towards his room. He needed some rest tonight, he'd have things to sort out in the morning.
