Junko was back. Back again. She was going to get through this maze. She marched up to the entrance again, tweezers in hand, and right up to the pathetic little imp. This was the last time. She got down on one knee, a look of determination on her face as she plucked the thorn from his thorn from the bottom of his foot with her tweezers. That was done! She got up and continued on her way.

Here she was. The rock. This time she regaled it with her adventures from her trip to Christmas Town. The rock seemed pleased and let her pass, chuckling to itself as she did. That was okay. That was alright. She just needed to get past it.

Ha! Yes! She was almost through! Junko was starting to feel better now that she was further in than she'd ever gotten, a smile on her face as she made sure to keep her wits about her. What...was that? She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the glimpses of the creature. "H...hello?" Junko took a cautious step back, feeling like she was in some kind of cheesy movie. Where was it? What was it?
The rustling in front of her was enough to send her packing, turning on her heel and running out of the maze. And fast.

Riley felt that enough time had passed for her to try the maze that made up this particular class. She'd almost enjoyed the challenge last time, when she'd completed it.
Almost.
She stopped in front of the imp, and leaned in to pluck out the splinter.
"You're in a good mood today.." It growled out warily.
She didn't respond, just continued walking. If she could, though, she would smile. There were certainly a lot of things to be in a good mood about, lately.

Stopping in front of the boulder, she decided to tell it an actual story this time. It was one she almost knew by heart - she read it to Cthulhu almost every night. With a practiced air, she told the boulder of The Adventures of Little Cthulhu.
When she was done, the boulder was silent for a moment. She almost thought she'd failed the test, until she heard a sniffle coming from the chunk of rock. It then moved out of her way, thanking her for such a moving little story.

It only made sense to Riley to use the same tactic on the growling monster she knew she was about to encounter, that had worked last time. She had brought several stinkbombs with her this time around, in case the first wasn't enough - but it was. The monster roared as it charged in the direction of the smoke, and Riley slipped right on by.

And she was back. It had been awhile since she had attempted this maze again and she wanted to finish it jack dammit! The challenge was only fueling Alcyone even more to keep trying and keep trying she would. The water demon walked into the maze once more and this time she would be ready!

Like clockwork, the imp appeared in front of her and Alcyone, of course, helped it pull the splinter out of its foot. This thing needed to make itself some shoes or something to ward off these splinters... It seemed to thank her once again as it scampered off. It had always been rather nice to her but what if one day it turned and attacked her? Who knew...

When the imp disappeared, Alcyone continued on her way and realized that the boulder was coming up. She almost forgot about it and she hadn't thought of a story to tell it but then she realized that she had been sent to the school office recently... Finally reaching the massive boulder, Alcie began telling it the story about how she and a bunch of other students ended up in the human world. Arel had told them not to mention anything about it but who was the boulder going to tell? After she finished her story, the boulder adjusted itself and allowed her to pass. "Thank you!" She called out to it and went on her way.

Now this was the difficult part. She had made it past the boulder a few times before but never past the strange creature lurking in the hedges. Alcie had been chased away by it several times now and she had learned her lesson. Creeping slowly through the maze, she tried to make as little noise as possible and surprisingly, she heard nothing. No clawing or panting and nothing that indicated that she had attracted the creature's attention. Thank jack...
