Aster rushed forward, reaching through the bars in efforts to rip Jared to pieces even though he knew it wasn't going to happen.
Zaria backed away from Jared, keeping Asriel as far away from him as possible.

Jared sighed, immediatly changing moods. Calmly he said, "I'm sorry, Neomi. But you know that I need my child. I want to hold her for the first time. But you wouldn't let me do that, would you."
Neomi started crying. "What's wrong with your head, Jared? Don't you see? Your a bad father, and I don't even love you! And I haven't even held Asriel barely at all either! And I'm the baby's own mother. You know what? Your own child hasn't even had her own birthday yet and she's going to die tomorrow! You got that!" She screamed at him in anger, pounding the floor every so often with her fists. They started bleeding. "Go to hell." She whispered, letting those words sink in.
Jared was stunned for a moment, and then stood over her, gazing down angrily.

The room grew silent, nobody knew what to say. Aster glared at Jared, out of spite....out of confusion....and out of plain unknowing.

Jared shook his head in disgust. "This room is just pitiful." He went to the stairs and sat down.

Zaria looked over at Neomi witha look that said "Should I?" (she means go over to him with Asriel)

Neomi hesitantly, slowly nodded. I'm going to regret this... She thought, getting up and gritting her teeth.

Saying nothing Zaria slowly walked over and sat beside Jared on the steps.

(I thought Zaria was in the cell? How could she be next to Jared?)
Jared looked up and walked over, seeing Zaria and Asriel. "Is this her?" He asked. His anger had all gone as he saw the baby's cute face. He wanted to burst into tears she was so beautiful.
Neomi watched him cautiously, waiting for him to spring on Asriel and take her away. But none of this happened.

Jared stared down at her peacefully, a huge grin on his face. "May I?" He had a soft spot for the little ones. He gestured towards the baby's blanket.

lexi swam through the town and through the bad parts.
(idk how to put my chara. in the story besides swimming around and stuff..thats y im not posting much..)

Gently but firmly Jared took his daughter in his arms and gazed down at her with a huge smile on his face. All of the anger and depression had gone out of him, just the gentle happiness still lied there. "She's beautiful." He had tears slipping from his eyes and down his cheeks. When he had taken the baby Neomi had zipped right beside him, and watched him carefully, he noticed out of the corner of his eyes. But she was now in a relaxed position, grinning at her baby. Most of Jared's attention was on the little one, but every once in a while he glanced up and beamed at Neomi's friends in the cell, as if saying, See? This here is my child.

Niel walked up and looked at the baby, pretending to be gentle and relaxed like the rest. "Doesn't it make you feel so warm and fuzzy inside? Cuz it makes me wanna f*ckin puke." Niel growled, his natural suppishness and apathy reforming his tone and attitude. "I'm in need of my daily dose of vitamin 'up yours', so I'm gonna go kick the crap outta some guards. Later" Niel left the group and headed out to brawl.
((Idea: maybe Niel meets the leader of the castle guard?))
((side note: Suppish- adjective, derived from the word "sup", a lazy form of greeting, used to describe someone who can't even pretend to care about others))
