"But why do you hate that kind of stuff?" Seth asked, a little curious. It was somewhat odd. ((Its ok.))

Luz frowned slightly, "because it's morbid and makes me remember of all the death and destruction that was brought to my country from supposed 'heroes' like Christopher Columbus." She said, saying the name 'Christopher Columbus' with obvious disgust.

"Eh, you forget. Without Chris, we wouldn't be here. Western Civilization wouldn't have come here, and your father would never have been alive. No one would be here right now. Millions of things would have been different." Seth said, still walking. "And death is just a beginning. Not an end. All of the people that died are now in the Underworld, probably in Elysium, or Asphodel. Everyone eventually got what they deserved. Christopher Columbus was judged faily." he said, sighing.

"I know, but Christopher also enslaved thousands of people and imported them in and out of the Dominican Republic, which is where he went way before going to the U.S. and death is a beginning, an end, and a midpoint for all of us." Luz said, kicking a stone that disappeared among the strawberries.

"Ok, but you still wouldn't be here. Now would you?" Seth asked, a little triumphantly. That was one of the things she hadn't proved wrong.

Luz frowned, "well actually I would be here because my father is one of the few native Dominicans, he, and his ancestors, are all from the Dominican Republic. None of them are from Europe, so I actually would still be here if Christopher Columbus had never went to the DR."

"Well, the course of history would have changed, and America wouldn't have been dicovered. So you wouldn't be here." Seth said, being a bit literal.

"No because Christopher Colombus would still have went to the U.S. remember, the Dominican Republic isn't part of the U.S. or even North America! It's part of Latin America. But it is true that the course of history would be different because if he, or his son Diego, had never went to the Dominican Republic then we wouldn't have most of the historical sights that we have now." Luz said, thinking about how this was turning into a real debate that has actually been debated by some scholars.

"Eh, whatever." Seth said, shrugging. He didn't really care. All he wanted to know is why she hated death so much. It wasn't xomething to fear.

Luz looked down at the ground and kicked another rock into the strawberry plants. "Anyways, what where we talking about before we started talking about history?" She asked, looking up at Seth.

"Ok, whatever." Seth said, then shrugged. Then he tripped. Again. "Di immortales!" he cursed, holding his leg in pain. He had hit it on a rock and it was still in pain.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just keep going, I'll catch up eventually." Seth said, shrugging, then tried to stand up and fell back down. It hurt a lot more than he expected.
