There was a cool breeze blowing over Shiro as he slept, and the breeze was quickly transfered into his dreams. He had almost caught up to the winged donuts that had so eluded him up to this point and was watering at the thought of sinking his teeth into one of the fluffy pastries, but a strong gale blew through and gave the donuts the extra push needed to fly away far out of his reach. A sad and beaten Shiro sat on the fluffy clouds that made up the ground he was on with a broken heart. Tormented in his sleep by the flying donuts Shiro rolled over, his body clearly forgetting he was in a tree as he rolled off the branch he was on and started to plummet to the ground bellow. But Shiro was a lucky guy sometimes, or just really alert of his surrounding. He hadn't the time to fall more than meter or so before his legs clasped onto a branch and he hung there happily upside down, still sleeping as he started to scratch himself and make light hoots. Was he dreaming that he was a monkey now? The world may never know.

Lee woke up to Shiro's hoots. She looked over the edge of her branch and saw him hanging upside down. She sighed as she climbed down to his level. "Come on Shiro, let's get you back in your, err, branch okay? It's not very good if you hang like that. All the blood will rush to your head." she said, hoping to be able to persuade him in his state of deep sleep. She looked around herself, she didn't see too many students around, they were all probably in their classes like she and Shiro should be. "Ehhh, I think it's good for your sanity to skip a class here or there." Lee said to herself. Whatever the consequences may be, she would accept them. They couldn't be much worse than what she had already been subjected to.
She remembered that day when the High Council had called her family to a trial. Her father had just been elected president for his third time, but he didn't show any signs of happiness for the day was the anniversary of his dear wife's death. The same accident that claimed her life was the same one that had caused Lee's injuries, which were now being called into question. Since her family were of noble blood and amongst the elite, she had known all her life that an arranged marriage was possible. At 13 she had already been promised to a childhood friend. Even though it wasn't her ideal choice, she and the boy were good friends, and she admitted she had a crush on him, so it wasn't the end of the world in her eyes. However, at her last checkup, the doctors had said in hushed tones that the internal scarring would make it difficult for childbirth, if she wasn't already infertile. Some said that perhaps once she becomes of marrying age, then it would be healed; but this was highly unlikely. The High Council reviewed all of the tests and findings and came to the same conclusion. As such she was ineligible to marry into any of the noble or elite families. And someone of her ranking was not allowed to marry beneath her and still hold ties with the family. Her choices were either to be celibate, or to leave the family. Lee's father protested, saying that he would give up his title and position to keep her in the family, but Lee didn't let him make that decision. The most painful part was that if her friend had spoken in her defense, that he would marry her whether or not she was infertile, then the Council wouldn't have made the sentence that they did. Not only did she lose her family, but she felt betrayed on all levels. Never again did she allow herself to love another person as she had loved him.
Lee came out of her thoughts, and wiped a few stray tears from her face. She poked at Shiro. "Come on, monkey-boy, sleep like normal people, right side up."

At first Shiro continued to make his monkey sounds, he even started swaying side to side, but as Lee poked him he started to stir. "But that's my banana..." He said sleepily as his eyes cracked open, looking around and noticing that he was indeed in a tree, but not surrounded by fellow monkeys. "Eh? O-oh, Lee." Excreting force from his core Shiro swung up quickly, smashing his head into a branch that was growing not to far from the branch he was currently on. He nearly lost his grip and started to slip off the branch, but was able to secure himself with one hand as he clasped his forehead with the other. "Owe...who puts a branch in the middle of a tree." He said jokingly, rubbing his head as he smiled, looking at Lee as he got situated on the current branch. "Heh heh, not the worst way I've been woken up you know. Man I don't know what I'm more dizzy from, the bump of the blood in my head from hanging upside down. I trust you had a good nap? No more nightmares right?"

"I slept fine." Lee said. "So what do you want to do now?" she loved being up in the tree, but she had spent enough time sitting around and sleeping, she wanted to do something, explore places that had never been seen. And it might be grand to have someone understand that I want so much more than they have planned. she thought. "How's your injury?" she asked Shiro, trying to ground herself with current matters.

"It's just a little bump, It'll be fine." Shiro said as he suddenly slid off the branch he was on and held onto it with his hands, doing pull ups to pass the time ignoring the sharp pain in his side. "Ah ha ha, you probably meant this injury. Heh heh heh, don't worry I'm fine. Just a little sore." The real question was what to do now? Shiro couldn't think of anything to do here, it was a strange garden he knew nothing about and the only thing on his mind really was training and fighting. And eating. And sleeping. Other than that though he didn't really know what to do. "I dunno, roam the garden for more secret spots? Who knows maybe we'll find some ancient secret thing that could potentially destroy the world. That'd be fun." Shiro chuckled as he looked up at Lee, the pain starting to lessen as he got use to it with every pull up.

Lee gave him a strange look. How he was able to ignore both the pain and the dangers of over exerting himself after an injury like that was beyond her. "Well, we could go explore the rest of the quad I guess." Lee said. "If we don't find anything there then I don't think that there would be anywhere else to go here, without getting noticed of course." she paused for a moment and looked down. After planning her descent in just a few seconds time, she expertly and deftly swung and jumped from branch to branch down the tree. She made little noise and was careful not to disturb any of the animal inhabitants. Once her feet were flat on the ground, she looked up and smirked at Shiro, silently challenging him. Let's see monkey boy do that. She thought to herself as she waited to see if he would accept.

"Sounds like a plan." Shiro said as he concentrated on his pull ups, pain was all in the mind. He paused for a moment, hanging from the branch as he watched Lee scanning the best rout and quickly making her way down the tree with the grace of a ninja. He smirked as she challenged him, more than happy to comply. Starting to pull himself back up to try his decent however, something in his body did not agree. The problem with being stubborn and ignoring pain like Shiro did was that even if you didn't feel it or acknowledge the damage, the damage was still there. Even though he wanted to pull himself up his body had other plans, and the power in his arms suddenly shut off and Shiro fell, hitting a branch below him rather hard. "...I meant to do...that?" As he spoke he could hear the slow painful sound of splintering wood as the branch he had landed on, much thinner than the others, gave way and send him tumbling down breaking branch after branch until his strength returned and he was able to grab onto one of the last branches of the tree only a few feet away from the ground. He sighed a sigh of relief, but of course this branch was also weak and broke off as well, and Shiro hit the ground with a loud thud. "T-there, just like I p-planned it." He said shakily with a smile as he looked at Lee, struggling to stand up using the tree as support. "They might have heard that...owe. I think we should go." He couldn't help but laugh, even though he hurt like hell all over, and started to hobble away.

Lee at first was worried for Shiro, but when she saw that he was up and around she couldn't help but laugh. It felt as if it was the first time in quite a while that she laughed like that. "What happened, Shiro? Decided to prune the tree as well?" Lee asked, jokingly. She sighed as she took in the wreckage, there wasn't much that they could do to hide or fix it. But she was glad that most of it was only cosmetic, if Shiro had seriously damaged the tree, then he'd have another bruise where the sun don't shine. She went over to Shiro to help him walk. "Come on, let's go explore the base of the mountains outside. We might find a hidden cave or something." she said. Lee wanted to prevent any more damage to the Garden, they were already ditching, but she didn't want to damage Aki's reputation since their acts reflected upon their teacher and headmistress.

"Well you know I figured the tree could use a little trim. Maybe I should hold off on the exercising till we get back to our garden." He was definitely gonna feel that tomorrow, when he got up this morning he sure hadn't planned on kissing a tree branch, let alone a bunch of them. With Lee's help he was able to get along fine, excited at the premise of more exploring. "I bet if we bring back something cool Aki'll forgive us ditching." He said with a grin as he started to walk faster. "You're pretty adventurous you know that? I'm glad we partnered up for this class."

"Thanks." Lee replied. "Yeah, who knows, maybe we'll find a long lost treasure or a slumbering giant!" she said as she tried to make a scary face. They soon reached the entrance/exit to the Garden and Lee set their course for the mountain they had just descended.

"Slumbering giants always have treasure." Shiro said confidently as he entertained the thought, laughing at the face Lee made. Maybe there was a giant in the snow mountain, an ice giant! And it would breathe ice breath and have rotten looking teeth when it growled. that would be awesome. "If we find a giant, I'm definitely gonna crush it. That'd be cool." Shiro said with a grin, impatiently walking to the mountain with Lee.

A heart shielded, from the pain and hurt, and also from the joys of life; frozen and guarded...Lee started to laugh, but then turned to face Shiro. "Oh no, you are not getting hurt again." Lee said with determined strength. "If we happen to meet any baddies, then you leave them to me understand?" She looked Shiro in the eye not only to show that this time she meant it. "And I don't want to hear any of this honor or pride business. Those things don't mean anything if you're 6 feet under." she said, a little morbidly. But she tried to soften the blow of her tirade with a smile. "But that doesn't mean that we can still explore and have fun." she finished with a wink. ...this heart begins to thaw.

It seemed that just as Shiro was going to dispute the matter, Lee was ready staring him in the eyes and driving her point home hard. If nothing else, he had to respect her determination. He smiled and nodded, it seemed like there really was nothing he could do here. "Ok ok, you win. Uhg, but it'll be soooo boring sitting on the sidelines when there's enemies about." Shiro said with a genuine pout that only lasted a few seconds before it melted away back into his usual smile. "Ah well, as long as we have fun it's all that matters."

{{ooc; lolz, sorry. Well Shiro and Lee left to go back to the Garden because they were both injured. And then they decided to ditch the class. xD Everyone else was still fighting the Mesmerizes when they left. I was wondering though if Lee could get a Unicorn GF. I think that's what I decided on. Anyways, I would have her find it and battle it in a cave nearby.}}
