we were in marching band practice at school and john (the asst.band director) said hecka, he was saying what we say, though i have never heard anyone say that. i guess you could call it slang for hell yes. hell yes arrow hell yeah arrow heck yeah arrow hecka. he is wierd sometimes. then there was this one time after finals(which is one of our best), he will say something like "you guys make me sick. that was amazing out there. why cant you do that at practice?" *imitates us at practice*: slouches and has invisible instrument sagging. calls for reset, everybody walks...slowly. since he is in his late twenties, he is sorta on the same level as us teenagers, so he says stuff/does stuf that gets the whole band laughing. i will post those over the next year and a half..if i remember. biggrin

we have a really young, just-out-of-college band director so he plays along with all the jokes we make. when he wants us to go back to notation F in the music he just says "f everybody." most of the band is really big into south park so we blurt out quotes from the episodes and movie and he usually knows the line that comes right after the one we said. or we start singing the songs from the movie and he sings along with us. both our directors are bald and have gotees so they look like twins... we just play off of that. they are usually dressed similar for marching festivals and competitions. then last year for district concert festival they both wore tuxes, and so did every other director. while waiting for our turn to play, they had about 3 or 4 other directors with them, they were all sitting in one row, all bald with gotees and in tuxes. it was just a wierd site to see. also, every now and then he breaks into random song out of nowhere.

well i don't know if this is funny but anyways. We practice in the back parking lot of our school. And some of us park back their. The Football jocks hate us, and sometimes they make fun of us while we practice. 2 jocks were sitting on this band guys car when our director asked this guy in band if he minded them sitting on his car. the band guy said he did mind so our director told them 2 get off the car and they got mad and cursed and called us band geeks. and our director said.
"Us band geeks are the only reason people come to your football games"
Because our fb team SUCKS! everyone bust out laughing and they got mad and left almost running over our instruments on the ground.

Well, she didn't say this one, but she wrote it.
STORYTIME!!!!!!
We were learning the bance (band+dance) for the Halloween show, "Thriller". We did the Thriller dance! So, we're standing there, and she's writing out the dance move names, and one was the zombie walk. She spelled it: ZOOMBIE So nevertheless, I, being the smartass I am, have teased her about it pretty much once a week since then. ^^ She just laughs.

Well, let's see here. My friend told Mr. Van Boxel about the Shrek 2 American Idol thing... And we were messing around, so I asked him, "What do you think of Johnny Depp?" and he replied, "He is too sexy for his shirt." There's too many others to list, but I can list an action...
At a band field trip, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe afterwards. The staff made us get on our chairs and dance to the Y.M.C.A. Volenik and Van Boxel did it too. It was hilarious!

My band director, Mr, Kish, is always trying to come up with ways to say, "Don't Suck a**."
His best one so far is, "Don't vaccuum the donkey."

Number_09 During "The Great Locomotive Chase:" Mr. B - Sam, did you pick a note? Sam: Yeah... Mr. B - What note did you pick? *Sam holds up fingerings* Mr. B - Now, did you PLAY that note? Sam: No... <_< >_> Ahh GLC. Love that song. Although .. the clarinet part kinda got boring after awhile, I still liked it.
Umm .. not really funny but the Clarinet coach thinks all Clarinet freshies need a lung transplant.

Mrs. Robinson: Mr. Betts's 'magic wand' is longer than mine. Me: So... they have sizes? Mrs. Robinson: That's right. Like Underwear. Mr. Betts: *holding Mrs. Robinson's baton* *suddenly looks at it like 'oh my god' and sets it down* Underwear? Me: *cracks up laughing* Mrs. Robinson: Yeah.... well... maybe not.
Ever since, we make jokes about the magic wand of underwear. =3
