"Well, it is well worth noting that we're not dead," Cassandra reflected, for the split second she actually had the breath to do so. Having a moving piece of metal land on top of her was not good for the ability to breath. Or move. Or inform him of the fact that his current position was rather awkward.
"Off?" she managed to struggle, face-down on the cold ground.

"Sorru," Isaac muttered as he forced himself up quickly. He looked around and realized where they were. "A-are we trapped in here? And h-how will the others get here?"

With a half-nervous shrug, Ty hopped through after the others. A breathless moment later, he landed gracelessly on Cassandra. Somewhat lighter than a clockwork night, it likely did not do too much. But he did hug her giddily before getting up. "Hi! We're alive!"
Springing up to his feet, he sniffed around and smelled Isaac, then saw him. "You're also alive!" That affirmed, he tackled the other boy and squeezed him. After a brief moment, he pulled away and started inspecting the walls of the prison. "Good news all around, good news... hey, your blades worked last time, right Isaac? Bust us out! 'nless there's a loudspeaker or something in here. Hellooooo!" he called. He searched for one, mostly calm, but slightly agitated due to being confined. It wasn't good to keep a fox in a burrow with no clear way out.

"On our way, be patient," a loudspeaker replied. "Triton's larger half is in there but he doesn't have the-" Something too quiet for most to hear (Ty could vaguely make out the words "remotely opened," he thought. "We're releasing you now." The field sealing them in shut down as Carlyle was dumped (blinded) out of the field, falling (predictably) on top of Cassandra.

Isaac allowed Ty to scamper out before him, since he could tell the werefox was a little antsy in the prison. Isaac, on the other hand, was surprisingly accepting of being in a cell; they offered protection that was hard to find outside of a jail.
Once they were out, Isaac looked around for someone to report to.

"Scamper" was a rather appropriate word to describe Ty as his ears perked and he scrambled for the door. Once outside, he watched Cassandra get landed on with a little giggle and wondered exactly from where a remote opening must have occurred.
"Come on, let's find a superior officer or something," he goaded the others, and headed off in the direction of the officers' lounge, guiding himself based on his last excursion that direction.

"Well, I think you guys broke something," Cassandra complained, only half in jest, dragging herself to her feet. Yeah, she was definitely gonna have a nice set of bruises from the Clockie. Oh well; bruises meant not dead, and that was... something.
That had been a very, very close call. Things like that... didn't happen. Not on normal battlefields. That had not been a normal battlefield - or at least not by Cassandra's understanding of it. The result, however, had been the same. She had chickened out at the critical moment. Knowing friends were near gave her strength, but in the face of any real danger... she crumpled. Just gave up the will to fight. That would get her killed, that would get the others killed!
That was enough of that thought, though; she could lecture herself on it for hours, but there was no way to make herself brave beyond choice. She had to decide to be tougher. She needed to feel more confident in her abilities, she needed to learn to use her magic competently. She needed something more than basic training. And she didn't know where to get that.
Maybe the Captain or her squad leader would know. Something like that.

Nothing was happening, so Isaac kicked in the door to the Officer's Lounge and said, "Isaac Screwstrip and company, reporting in! We need to see the Captain!" He assumed they were onboard the Angelship.

Ty kind of sensed Cassandra's perturbation, and opted to hang back with her as Isaac somewhat uncharacteristically vandalized government property. "You okay? You did awesome back there. You're alive and so are we - that's what matters!" Had he had a tail at the moment, it would have been wagging.

Awesome. Har. "I... well, frankly, Ty," Cassandra began, hesitated, then began again. "I gave in to fear. Yeah, we survived, but we were in a position to potentially capture information or something and we all just... let it go. We could've fought but we didn't. Maybe we would've won. I guess wisdom is the better part of valor but really, I was never really collected. What was the whole point of basic training if I was going to pansy out the second things got rough? I just... I need to learn something useful. I need to feel like I can defend myself. And I don't, I don't know how to shoot well enough to survive, and it's not like bullets do any good half of the time, and I can't do magic, and it's not like elementalism will get me anywhere, and - you see where this's going, don't you?"

Isaac paused in his angry shouting to look at Cass and Ty as they spoke. He was hesitant to interrupt, but he was currently so fired up that he did it with only two seconds' pause.
"Um, excuse me? What did you say? I thought you were pretty bad a** out there, if you'll excuse my language. You were shooting and communicating and I never once saw you stop long enough for anyone to get hurt. I thought you were doing really well." Isaac couldn't understand why she felt the way she felt; he knew what it was to be afraid, but she just seemed so focused and determined that he couldn't imagine that she was as scared as he was.

"Er... which captain?" a rather confused-looking officer asked. "There are several in the embassy. You don't look familiar - are you with the Angelship?"

"YES!" Isaac said, snapping his fingers. "The Angelship! Now where are we supposed to go?"

"To... the... angelship?" the officer tentatively suggested.
He clearly had no idea what he was talking about.

"Well, that was enlightening. What a fun way to follow ending up in a secret base full of crimes against nature!" Carlyle exclaimed. "Seeing as how I don't think being here is helpful, we should wander until SOMEBODY moves us somewhere useful we find what we need."
