"Well, you had gone out on that emergency, so I cancelled the signing of the papers. We can still arrange it for later today, or tomorrow... But everything is set."
He was ready to doze off himself, and not sign any kind of papers.
"That is, only if you're absolutely sure that you love the house and everything in it."

"Hm..." She sighed, looking up at the ceiling still. "It really is perfect... and once we get settled in and start nesting as it were... It'll be even more so. I really do adore it Damian... Its something I can hardly fathom..." She smiled, bringing his hand up to her lips to kiss, pulling it away to examine. Even though Damian was rather thin, his features were still larger than hers, including his hands. She studied their almost delicate form as she pondered what to do next.
"Hm...How about you just get some rest... I'll run down stairs and tidy up just abit, then we can go ahead and get the signing out of the way. I'm getting anxious just thinking about it..." She nodded to herself, lacing her fingers in and out of his.

"It sounds like a glorious plan..." Damian leaned forward to kiss her sweetly again. "Except for you going to clean up. I took things out, I will put them away."
Raquel needed her rest, he felt. Just like Lorey, she had done enough before everything fell back together again, and needed the time for just being idle to make up for all the times she couldn't have been. Now was also his time to actually do something instead of having someone else do it for him.

"But darling your knee...." She protested, sitting up a tad, holding the sheet lightly against her. "I mean, You were on it all day yesterday, then you went out and bought the food, and carried me up the bloody stairs for heavens sake!" She furrowed her brow but smiled. "And what we just did must have been hard on it as well hm?" She had a sly roguish smirk on her face, leaning forward to catch his lips in hers fora loving kiss. "No, I've got too much going through my mind to sit for too long. I need the distraction..."
There was no more to it or so it seemed, for she pulled the covers away, hopping out of bed casually, going to retrieve her clothes so she could get to work.

She was right, but her lips against his silenced his protests.
"Alright..." was all he could say as he watched her dress and go out the door and down the stairs. His knee did hurt, but Damian wasn't one to want to stay put, either.
He should have been in physical therapy. That at least was one thing he could do while she was in school: get healthy again. Gain some weight, and focus on his physical well-being. His emotional well-being, however, was going to be very touchy.

Raquel came to the kitchen, smiling yet sighing as she turned to the wall unit. It wasn't as hightech as Damian's kitchen at home, but it had the 'basics'. One of which was a radio that was built in with the communication device ,and other settings. Raquel activated the program, which allowed planets stations to play through a few hidden speakers. It was really considered old fashioned in their world of higher technology, but Raquel wasn't one to judge or know the big difference.
As music filled the kitchen, Raquel found herself feeling ab it better, even dancing a little as she cleaned up their icecream mess. When she knew the words, she'd sing along as she decided to handwash the dishes.

Despite saying he would rest, Raquel was suddenly hugged from behind by none other than Damian.
"Wasn't about to stay put," he chuckled in her ear before giving it a kiss. "You know, you're beautiful when you think no one is looking."

At first, Raquel jumped a mile, and even emitted a high pitched 'eep' before chuckling and blushing at Damian's hold. "Ah- you scared me to death!" She scolded, the blush still apparent on her face as she swayed to the music with his arms around her.
"And I highly doubt that...I'm simply cleaning the dishes. Theres nothing pretty about that." She shrugged, though her face was still pink as the strawberry ice cream.

"Yes there is," he retorted with the utmost confidence. "You were singing along with the music, and maybe you don't notice it, but the way you move is very... elegant. Like you plan every little thing you do before doing it, and yet you're not even trying."
He loved making her blush, but he always swore to himself that he would be sincere about it. He'd always lied through his teeth to get what he wanted, but with Raquel, lying was simply not an option.

She smiled, setting a bowl down into the soapy water before glancing back at him. "Really?" She blushed a bit more, shrugging unsure.
"I really dont plan it...I just love music, always have.... and how it tells a story with notes or simple words...and how it speaks...not only to your conscious, but to your soul you know? I guess thats just called dancing..." She shrugged, chuckling a bit to herself swaying a bit more leaning back ever so slightly on him, in her form of a hug since hr hands were still a bit wet.

Damian felt like he should start up playing the piano again, to start once more with that music they both loved so much. He'd abandoned it for stupid, inconsequential things, and now he missed it dearly.

Raquel turned to look at him, a sweet, strange smile on her face as she simply nodded once, turning back to the dishes, humming lightly as she moved to dry her hands. "How's your knee doing?" She asked softly out of nowhere as she turned to look at him.

"Fine."
It wasn't a total lie. He'd felt well enough to carry her up the stairs and everything that followed thereafter, and he was not in so much pain that he couldn't function. Damian just didn't want her to worry.

She smiled, laughing softly. Without a word, she took his face in her hands, brought him close, and kissed him deeply yet sweetly... it was a romantic, incandescent sort of kiss that left a lovely after taste as she pulled away. "Does that explain it?" She whispered, stroking his face briefly before blushing and looking away to distract herself with cleaning.

He was put in a daze for a few seconds before lightly laughing himself out of it.
"Yes, that said... a great deal. Glad to see you're doing so well."
Damian picked up a moist cloth from the sink and began cleaning the countertop as she did the dishes. It felt normal, to do regular household tasks with her nearby. Everything felt alright.
"Oh, I called, and the agent should be here in two hours with the papers. The house will be ours today once we go over the boring legal nitty gritty. Alright?"
