yeah i say go with your true hair color. the only time i have changed my hair was when i put some streaks in it because my family said it looked good with blonde streaks *i have brown hair*

i used to have blonde hair.. but when they began to go darker i colored blonde again sweatdrop .. and now it is lil darker underneath (wanted to test black hair on me )
