Well, from what I see, Cale and Stellar seem to be the only ones who 'know' this RP, because everyone else just misunderstands. If you want them at a stalemate, then keep them were they are, because any further down the line, even 4 years, it going to put more power into the hands of the NR, and even if they are currently dealing with the Yevetha, that would only take a fraction of the Republics new-found force, more than enough to conquer some little Warlord floating around a lone Sector, nor would the Sector Rangers in this Sector still exist, they would have been replaced by now. We've already agreed that 13 ABY would be good, it doesnt need changing again. And you also have no reason to restrict Force Users, this is still open ended.
You also seem to not notice that there are more than just Jedi and Sith floating around this really very large galaxy. Gind Findsmen, Baron-Dor, dozens of Force Organizations. Not to mention the untrained Force Sensitives.

Does anyone else feel that we should make this change in setting?

17 ABY will have seen the start of the New Republic's first major shipbuilding effort, which means newer vessels for the New Republic Command. At the same time, the Imperial Reminant is stabilizing under Pellaeon. Neither side wants a fight due to internal problems, which makes for a decent "Cold War setting."
As for Jedi/Dark Jedi, I feel they must be limited to reflect the times. 3 at most for either side of the Force and no more powerful than Knight class for anyone. This best represents the level of trained force users at this time. Theres oly a handful of Masters and those are no-where to be found. Likewise most of the truely powerful darksiders have bitten it.
Edit: The time also works for independent buisnessmen to make their mark. Both sides need things and worlds under their respective thumbs need things, and both sides can't chase everyone that escapes their respective grasps.
Edit Again: Furthermore, the fewer force users, the better. They dominated the last RP. Time to step away from them for a bit.

I think also that the sector should be in the Mid Rim. Stellar and me put our heads together and came up with quite a few systems to add to the pool, some really "Star Wars"-y and crazy.

DA, I gotta tell you though that there are no Jedi Shadows at this time. Thats lost knowledge by this period in Galactic History.

Then the Sector itself would remain the same as we've been building it? As well as the Rangers?

Aside from bosting it up to 17 ABY to kep the NR from just throwing the Imps out, yeah. Pretty much. I need to polish off the Systems Stellar helped me crank out so I can display them. Some of them I'm kinda proud of in an evil way.

I have a few I've been toying around with myself, I'd like you too keep yourself from building the sectors central system, at least by yourself.
Have we agreed on a name yet? There were I think 4 for Cellana I think.

Um...I did already. I made the Cellana system. Its got a Zeltron Colony World.
But yeah, we can call it the Cellana Sector. It used to be the Zynth Sector until Imperial Boundary Redrawing following the Clone Wars.

Would you mind ifI looked over it and made some additions? There were some things I wanted to implement.
I already said I was going to be building that on, didn't you read back last night?

You mean building on what I had? I don't know how far back that is. I'll put up what I have later after I polish some things up.

Cale Darksun You mean building on what I had? I don't know how far back that is. I'll put up what I have later after I polish some things up. I mean for that System in particular, I wanna see what youve done. And I meant building it myself, not ontop of yours, but since you already have, I might as well see if my ideas can still be squeezed in. Can you PM it?

Cale Darksun Why can't I post it up here? Because then it seems definite. But whatever.

I have no complains. Moving the RP up in time is a good move. In fact, the move forward would actually give us MORE Jedi to use (since more have been trained by now), although the number is still pretty much microscopic.
On that note, do we need to fix the NewRep Task Force?
