Standing in the main entry area, unsure of himself, Charles wrestles with self-doubt. He has his explanations and rationalizations, but in truth he is unsure why he came back. Was it out of scientific need for empirical evidence? Was it out of emotional drive to find the owner of those piercing green eyes? Charles puts no stock in emotional nonsense . . . and yet he is here and forced to deal with the fact that his return might be caused by such. Standing there, he looks back and forth cautiously to search for her. He can't ask for her by name- she didn't give any. Anything more might seem desperate. This is silly, just get the data and get out.
Then something makes him jump. So lost in his search for her, and his own inner thought process was he that Charles didn't realize he was blocking somebody's way. Jumping a little at his name, he turns and fights the urge to bark at the person there. Good thing he did too, for behind him is a captain. Glad for his restraint, he bows slightly out of respect. In truth, he doesn't care one way or the other about this captain, but best not to aggravate one higher in rank- or somebody you are about to ask a favor of.
"Greetings Captain. I am here on a . . . matter of research. Working on a project for Captain Bulfer, I request the opportunity to observe your unique kido in action. The recorder I have with me will analyze the spiritual wavelength, and offer more data into the project. In fact, the data would be best if taken from as many as possible, and using a variety of applications." As he assumes the researcher role again, his voice gains in confidence, and his mind focuses. Science is his element, dispassionate and clear. Without the doubt and fog of his confusion, Charles begins to think beyond the moment and anticipate possible rebuttals. One guarded secret of squad 4 is their unique healing arts. Only this squad is taught their method, and thus the research might be seen as a breach of security.
After a moment, Charles adds "I assure you Captain, this is not a method of copying your abilities. One cannot create a croissant merely by seeing it on a plate. My goal is to see a diverse set of wavelengths, and that used by your squad is the only type of kido I cannot observe anywhere else."

Kei Aoi Fourth Division, Captain
Kei Aoi chuckled slowly and then smiled at the man before him. Clearly, as seen at the ridiculously formal tone that Charles gave to Kei. Of course, as far as he known throughout his life (Shinigami life, at least), he did not believe the bluff that man gave him. Well, the project might be true nonetheless. The Fourth Division captain moved from one side to another, sepculating to himself.
"You are acting on Bulfer-Taichou's orders?" Kei Aoi asked softly, his voice slightly wary. He haven't had the latest pleasure of socializing with him at all. "I am very sorry, Charles, but I will have to delay that analysis at the time being; we are currently undergoing some renovation with out Kido archives that might be a little sensitive on our part. Please, allow me to apologize for this inconvenience. Also, please do send my apologies to Bulfer-Taichou about this little snag." Kei Aoi said at once, his voice slightly apologetic.

"I . . . see. My apologies for wasting your time, Captain." Charles' face falls a bit at the denial, but what can be done? This was not likely to end well either way. Not many are in dire need at the moment from what he can tell, so advanced versions are not available for scan, and as he surmised this was not likely possible in any case. To add physical reinforcement to the compliance, Charles removes the apparatus from his eye, and replaces it with his traditional blue visor. Putting his scanner in one of the many pockets of his bandoleer, he bows again.
Still, just before he leaves, Charles looks over his shoulder at the staff. One more emotionally driven need to see that one . . . but of course she is not there. Looking down for a brief moment, he begins to leave. Once again, he is quiet and calm, but internally doubting himself for being so stupid. Idiot, I knew that was a bad idea to come here!

Kazu walked into the Medical Facility with Enoki sung over his shoulder. "Hey! Can someone help please? He's got a stab wound to his upper right torso---" Kazu wavered as his own shoulder injury flared. The cut from his right shoulder to his mid-torso was bleeding heavily, but not as much as his partner's stab would, which had stained his own robes dark red.
"He needs healing straight away. Please!" He begged the room of medical Soul Reapers.

Enoki was shaken awake whilst being carried to the medical bay. However, because of the loss of blood, he didn't know what to make of his surroundings. All he assumed was that he was safe. until he saw who was carrying him. He didn't know who he was, or why he was carrying him, he only remembered he had been fighting him. Enoki panicked, but couldn't move. e saw all the medics passing by. Why weren't they saving him from this man? ((OOC: dont worry kazu, he's just crazy right now. He's pretty happy with you when he's normal.))

Cyril hurried over to the two that had just entered, most of the other medics were busy and unable to help so it looked like it was up to him until one of them became free. "I'm sorry all of the senior staff is busy at the moment. I believe there are some open beds just this way, I can clean the wounds and do my best to stop the bleeding until someone can help." the blond shinigami said as he took some of the weight off of Kazu by helping lift Enoki and leading the way to the room.
After they got Enoki into a bed Cyril headed to a medicine cabinet "If you could lay down as well . . . Kazu. You've probably strained yourself enough." he had to peek at the chart to recall the name as he grabbed some gauze, bandages and some cleansing medication that was akin to peroxide. "Squad 11 is the combat squad right?" he said trying to make some light conversation as he removed the top half of Enoki's Shihakushō to pour a small amount of the cleansing medication to his wound. It would burn fairly badly as most medicines of the sort did, but it would kill any possible infections. While that bubbled and fizzed he applied the same medicine to Kazu, it would take a few moments before it would be good to apply the bandages to Kazu because of the size of his cut so he returned to Enoki.
It was amazing to him that they could get infections in the afterlife, but who was he to question it? "This is rather deep, I'm not sure if any major organs were damaged" he said as he pressed the gauze to Enoki's wound and wrapped the bandage around it tightly. It wasn't the best looking, but it should keep him alive long enough for one of the more skilled healers to fix him up.

Kazu was grateful for the help of lifting Enoki. He lay down and let the medical Sould Reaper do his thing. As the medicine was poured onto his cut he breathed in sharply. "Yeah, Squad 11 maily focuses on combat. Were're both new actually. This was our first sparring match." Kazu laughed. "We should probably have used wooden swords if I'm honest. What did you say your name was doc?" Kazu extended his arm to the Soul Reaper and smiled. "Sorry to bother you with this. I'm sure you've lots of other things to be doing."

"Ah then we have something in common, sorry you have to be treated by a newbie." laughing in reply as he walked back to Kazu's side with gauze and bandages "I didn't say yet, but it's Cyril. How does it feel to be practiced on?" he said as he shook Kazu's hand and set the gauze on his chest and began applying pressure "It's more difficult to stop the bleeding on a large wound like this, besides the only other things I could be doing is practicing on a dummy, more exciting to practice on something that can tell you if you're hurting it."
It seemed the more he applied pressure to certain areas the more other areas would bleed, he really needed to become more familiar with the body. Maybe later he should take the time to familiarize himself with the medicine cabinets to see of there were any medicines to help with blood loss. "I'm sorry, make sure to tell me if you begin feeling lightheaded as it could be due to blood loss."

Kazu grimmiced as Cyril applied pressure. "Wow, a lab rat eh? Well I don't mind so long as I get patched up." He watched closely as Cyril wound the bandages around his chest wound. "Better keep a tabs on how you do those... In squad 11 I may have to do this to myself instead of constantly relying on you everytime I get a silly sparring wound." Kazu laughed, wincing as the wound was strained. "Hey the bleeding seems to be stopping. And I don't feel dizzy!" Kazu decided against trying to stand up lest his previous statment turned out to be false. He stared at the ceiling as Cyril worked. "He he he, I reckon I'll ask the third seat for a match next... Then I'll challenge the Captian!"

"I don't know, if you're this injured from fighting someone of your level, I think you should wait a bit before challenging a Third Seat, and as for a captain. . . well not even the fourth squad can do anything for a puddle of remains." Cyril mused as he finished securing the bandage. "I would suggest you both lay still until someone trained in healing Kidou can come and patch you up, it wouldn't do if all my hard work went to waist by you re-opening the wounds." he said with his usual smirk.
He wasn't going to just leave them alone until someone else arrived, unless they wanted him to. He walked off from Kazu's side and began to re-organize the cabinet that he had used, putting back the cleansing medicine and the unused gauze and bandages, "So why go all out on each other? Is it something common to do in combat squads?"

"Only in Squad Eleven.... Gah!" Enoki winced from the pain. He had woken up a few minutes earlier while Kazu had been being dealt with. He was still a little dizzy, but could finally process thought.
He understood he was being taken care of. But Enoki wasn't thinking of that at all. He was more interested that Kazu would be challenging third seat and captain. Enoki knew, when he heard that, he didn't care what Kazu thought. He was going to be in on this battle.

Kazu frowned at Cyril's question. "I'm still too new to tell you whether this is something that all members of our squad do...I think that it was more... We both wanted to prove ourselves... To show that just because we're new, doesn't mean that we're weaker than the rest..." He heard Enoki's voice. "Oh hey! Your up. How're you feeling?"

"Guh... Good enough, I guess. Still a little dizzy, but that's to be expected." Enoki had studied a brief amount of medicinal schooling.
"So what's this I hear about challenging the third seat? Frankly, I'm extremely interested."

Kazu smiled. "Well... I want to show them that I'm a force to be reckoned with. Not just some newbie to push around. I don't think I could win on my own without Shikai.... But with your help we may just be able to pull it off!"
Just then a medical Soul Reaper entered the room. He breifly conversed with Cyril about the condition of the paitients before getting to work on heling Enoki's deep wound.
Kazu turned to Cyril. "Hey, I hope we can count on you to patch us up in the future." He stuck his tounge out and grinned.
