xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFinally back!!! I can rest up, hang with my friends and... Sora and Kairi made it to the gym in plenty of time. The brunette smiled at his friend's comment about Blink, then parted from her to change. Once he was wearing the standard gym clothes (which he hated and wished he could wear his normal clothes instead), he joined up with her again. She explained everything, and his head was spinning slightly with the information overload. But he was glad he finally got the whole story from someone. And she'd brought up the name Lakayna, which was the same person Axel had talked about having a date with. And supposedly she was in this class. Maybe he could finally put a name with a face.
He was also somewhat pleased that he hadn't missed any classes but this one due to the pep rally. That meant no late work! But this only occupied his thoughts for a second. This cloaked person Kairi talked about... That concerned him. Was that the reason Riku was acting so off today? Next class was lunch; he'd have to ask him then. If it was something bad, like the darkness or something, Riku wasn't going to handle it on his own. He hoped he knew that. But that would have to wait, and for Kairi's sake he'd try not to think too much about it during this class. "Wow, that was a lot, Kairi," he snickered, holding his head in mock pain. "I might pass out from all of that! But thanks for letting me know." He looked around the gym absently. "So, where are these other kids you know? Why don't you introduce me to a couple?" GO TO SCHOOL!?!

The rest of second period passed by in a silent blur for Lakayna. She copied down the algebra homework for that night, gathered her things, and proceeded to the next class. Finally Gym; one of her most favorite classes. She changed in the girl's locker room, hardly noticing the other girls there at all even as a few of them called out her name. When Lakayna was down in the gymnasium, she noticed Kairi was there and talking with a boy whose face was vauguely family. Where had she seen it before? Oh right, sge'd witnesses Kairi's memories, that boy's face had shown up a lot. What was his name; the one that kept popping up? Sora? Yeah, that's right. "Hey Kairi!" she called before jogging up to the pair of them, "Oh, I'm not interrupting something private am I?"

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFinally back!!! I can rest up, hang with my friends and... Sora looked up when he heard another girl's voice. There was a girl standing there, and she looked like she knew Kairi. She gave him a strange look, like she thought she recognized him or something. He raised his eyebrows in surprise, but didn't say anything. Well, if this girl knew Kairi, and Kairi knew her, and he didn't know her, then she must be Lakayna. Or someone like that. He wasn't going to find out by just standing there doing nothing, though.
"No, Kairi was just catching me up on what happened yesterday," he explained to her. He extended his hand. "I'm Sora. You must be a friend of Kairi's." He smiled politely and waited for her to shake his hand. He was slightly confused by the expression on her face, but he didn't think about it. He wondered where Axel was. They had this class together, he remembered, and he'd also mentioned Lakayna. That would be a sure-fire way to know if this was Lakayna or not. GO TO SCHOOL!?!

(I hope that Sora won't be too offended that Lakayna doesn't reach out to recieve the handshake. You know why Thalassa, but he sure doesn't! ^_^ )
Lakayna folded her hands behind her back, bowing slightly instead of shaking Sora's outstretched hand. She didn't feel like going through that pain right now. It just wasn't nessesary. "Hi Sora," she replied with a smile, "I'm Lakayna."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFinally back!!! I can rest up, hang with my friends and... Sora was curious as to why Lakayna refused to shake his hand. Did he smell funny or something? Or maybe she was nervous. He didn't like making people feel nervous, unless they were evil and he intended on killing them. But Lakayna was just a normal school girl, and so he felt bad that he made her uncomfortable. But it was Lakayna, the same one he guessed Axel had talked about. He decided to make nothing of the hand thing and ask her about that.
"Lakayna? Nice to meet you," he said cheerily, withdrawing his hand and putting it to his side. "Kairi told me a little about you. You're friends with a guy named Axel, right? He talked about you this morning." He subconsciously regretted saying that. If she was the kind of girl that was obsessed about knowing everything her sweetheart thought of her, he'd just signed up for a long discussion. Luckily, Axel hadn't said much, and he wouldn't have to worry about having to say too much. Who knew, maybe the gym teacher would save him by starting class. GO TO SCHOOL!?!

Lakayna let her hands go and they hung at her sides. "Oh he did? That's nice," she replied. Lakayna still wasn't fully there. Her mind was still subconciously contemplating that dream she had. She really hoped that, this time, gym would hurry up so she could talk with Namine at lunch. Lakayna wasn't sure what she would say to the girl.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFinally back!!! I can rest up, hang with my friends and... Sora was relieved but surprised by Lakayna's response. She seemed really uncomfortable and not all there. He decided maybe talking to her wasn't the best idea. Kairi wasn't saying anything either, and he felt like that he might be interacting too much. Maybe he was trying too hard to fit back in. He sighed and looked back to the gym teacher. Doing nothing, as usual.
Gym was not the brunette's favorite class, he remembered from his past. When the teacher wasn't paying attention, he was usually in the spotlight for being the target during dodgeball. Back then he hadn't been too good at gym and the sports involved. And he'd had few friends at school beside Kairi, Riku, Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie. And he'd never had any of them in his gym classes. No one really knew him except as the one they could throw stuff at. And the teacher never did anything, just talk to another teacher. Sora leaned against the wall and crossed his arms over his chest. He looked around. Axel wasn't there yet. Just like him to be late. He wondered when class would start, and what they'd be doing. "What did we do in gym yesterday, anyway?" he asked, suddenly glad that Lakayna hadn't questioned his absence yet. GO TO SCHOOL!?!

Kairi When Sora held is head in mock pain Kairi thought it was real pain. She quickly stammered, "I-I'm so sorry Sora!" But when she heard him snickering she figured out he was teasing her. "Oh you big fake!" the princess pouted, but a moment later she was laughing along with the brunette. "And you're welcome for the info." she said once she stopped laughing. When Sora looked around the gym and asked Kairi about the other kids she knew and for an introduction Kairi replied, "Oh right! Let's go find Axel and Lakayna." The crimsonette didn't need to go looking for Lakayna though, she had found them. "Hi Lakayna!" Kairi waved back as the lavender haired girl called to her jogging up to her and Sora. "No not at all," the red head answered when Lakayna asked if she was interrupting something private." Sora and Lakayna introduced themselves and Kairi was happy that her two friends finally got to meet. Lakayna seemed to be a little out of it, just like she had been during English. Kairi was a little worried, but didn't not to question Lakayna now. Sora crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against the wall. He then asked what they had done in gym yesterday. Kairi stood in front of him, her hands behind her back, and answered with a bummed face, "We broke up into teams and played basketball. Gym isn't my best class and I'm terrible at sports, so I wasn't very helpful to the team. So it was kinda unenjoyable for me." Kairi then look up at Sora with pleading eyes and asked, "If we do the same thing again today Sora you'll be on the same team as me, right? Please? I know that if you're on the same team as me it'll be much more fun!" She turned to Lakayna and said "You too Lakayna. Axel too. I know that if we're all together, even if I epically fail at whatever it is we're doing today, I know that you guys won't get mad at me and no matter what we'll all have a good time." She laughed embarrassedly then said, "But hopefully the teacher will just keep not paying attention and we can just relax and chat for the rest of the period."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFinally back!!! I can rest up, hang with my friends and... Sora looked at Kairi curiously as she asked if he could be on her team. What kind of question was that!? "Are you feeling okay?" he asked her. "You know I'd be on your team, Kairi. I wouldn't have it any other way! And I suck too, so don't depend on me to do well. Basketball?" He shuddered. "I hate that game. Who thought of it anyway?" He shrugged and pulled himself from the wall. He spotted a group of kids throwing basketballs around. They were at least able to dribble and shoot. The brunette could dribble, but shooting wasn't his strong suit. He always hoped that he could pass it to someone else before he had to try for a basket. He was short for a 16 year old boy too, so this really wasn't his sport.
A neglected basketball came rolling to Sora's small group. Finding nothing better to do with it, he picked it up. He bounced it and realized why it was neglected: It barely left the floor. He kicked it sharply, but it hit the corner of his foot and went sideways only a couple of inches. He groaned at himself. He really sucked at organized sports. He'd always been good at smacking things with wooden swords or giant keys, but when it came to using his feet or hands, he wasn't too good. Was it their large size that threw him off? GO TO SCHOOL!?!

Kairi When Sora looked at Kairi curiously and asked if she was okay Kairi once again laughed embarrassedly and replied, "Yes, I'm fine." She then smiled at Sora and said, "Aww yeah, but I just wanted to make sure. Haha well then we will fail at basketball together! And as to who thought of basketball I have no idea."When a neglected basketball came rolling their way Sora picked it up and bounced it. The ball barely bounced at all. "Why does the gym department even keep pathetic things like that?" the crimsonette asked out loud. "Tidus and Wakka are lucky that they are good at blitzball and are on the blitzball team. They don't have to deal with all of this."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFinally back!!! I can rest up, hang with my friends and... Sora laughed half-heartedly at Kairi's comment about Wakka and Tidus. Yeah, they were lucky. They weren't cursed with the inability to play sports. That's what confused him. How could he be able to fight off Heartless and Nobodies with ease, but was terrible at sports? It just didn't match up. He was physically fit and pretty strong now. Yet he was a dork when it came to sports.
Sora looked around. Axel still wasn't there. He sighed loudly. "Does Axel really think he's above the school rules?" he asked sarcastically. "First he burns a desk during Social Studies, and now he's -- what? -- ten minutes late for class?" He wondered why the firey red-head would be late to one of the classes he had with his new girlfriend. The brunette hated not being able to spend all the time he could with Kairi... whoa!!! Why the heck was he thinking about that!? That didn't even go with what he was thinking about... GO TO SCHOOL!?!

Kairi When Sora half-heartedly laughed at Kairi's comment about Tidus and Wakka Kairi laughed a little too. She then said to Sora, "Oh well I guess we can't all be good at everything. Tidus and Wakka may be good at blitzball, but those two are no match against you in a fight! Tidus may act all tuff, but you could beat him in a second." The princess smiled at the brunette. When Sora looked around and asked sarcastically if Axel thought he was above the school rules Kairi laughed and replied, "Haha he probably does sometimes." Kairi smiled brightly and said happily, "Today is turning out to be a much better day then yesterday. I'm glad you're here Sora."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFinally back!!! I can rest up, hang with my friends and... Sora was snapped from his thoughts back to Kairi when she spoke. He was glad he did. Why were these thoughts clouding his mind? He had more important things to think about right now. He chuckled at Kairi's first comment. He knew he could take Tidus and Wakka any day. He suddenly remembered what Tidus had told him once. You've gotten stronger, but I'll bet you're still no match for Riku. We took him on three-to-one last time and he whipped us all. Well, I guess Kairi can always count on him! Sora had hit him especially hard over the head with his wooden sword after that. It had been the exact opposite just later that night. He shook his head to get out of that thought.
Sora smiled warmly when Kairi told him she was glad he was there. "I'm glad to be here, and it's even better that you're with me," he replied cheerily, but then wondered if what he'd said was too nice. Why was this bothering him so much!? Kairi was a friend. A friend he really liked, but he'd never admit that. There was no way he and Kairi... He quickly changed subjects both in his head and outloud. "Do you want me to get us a ball so we can practice or something? I know I need it." GO TO SCHOOL!?!

Kairi Kairi saw Sora smile warmly and smiled too. You couldn't help but smile when you were with the brunette. He was such a sweet and fun guy, almost always smiling. When Sora told Kairi that he was glad to be there and that it was even better that she was with him, Kairi's cheeks turned as crimson as her hair. "Is he just saying that because we're good friends, or is he implying something more?" Kairi though to herself. Kairi turned her head slightly hoping that Sora hadn't seen her blushing. She was glad when the brunette asked if she want him to get them a ball so they could practice. "Ah sure," Kairi answered. She giggled a little when Sora said he knew he needed the practice, but then stopped because she knew she need the practice just as much.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFinally back!!! I can rest up, hang with my friends and... Sora noticed Kairi's cheeks redden slightly before she turned her head away. His eyes widened, wondering why she would have that reaction. He felt his own face burn, so he took the opportunity to go get a ball so she wouldn't see his face. He jogged quickly to the ball rack, swiftly dodging a ball that was thrown at his head. He wasn't sure if that ball had been thrown like that on purpose or not, but he didn't care. He snagged a ball from the rack, glancing over at the group in the general direction the ball had come from. They were all laughing, and they didn't even try to hide it when he looked over. He rolled his eyes and returned to Kairi and Lakayna.
Sora bounced the ball on the ground near Kairi's feet and saw that it could bounce rather nicely. Curious, he threw it down as hard as he could and it bounced several feet off the ground. He caught it by some miracle and laughed sheepishly. "Sorry," he giggled. "I didn't know I could do that. That might come in handy." He gently tossed it to the crimsonette, knowing with the slow toss that she could catch it. It wasn't that he didn't believe she could catch it, it was just that he didn't want to hurt her, even by accident. He really cared about her and he wanted to protect her. From even his clumsy, non-sporty self. GO TO SCHOOL!?!
