Alright here's my monthly deck help request. This time its a Red artifact deck:
Lands: Mountains: 22
Creatures: Chrome Steed: 2 Ogre Geargrabber Hoarding Dragon Steel Hellkite Iron Myr: 2 Kuldortha Phoenix: 2 Barrage Ogre Manic Vandal Memnite: 4 Volshok Replica Arc Runner Saberclaw Golem Hoard-Smelter Dragon

ghost_of_naomi this'll most likely be the first time i have put a decklist up publicly creatures (17) 1x blightsteel colosus 4x myr sire 4x plague myr 2x ichorclaw myr 4x corpse cur 1x hand of the praetors 1x lodestone golem artifacts (7) 1x skullcage 4x contagion clasp 1x golems heart 1x decimator web spells (9) 2x consuming vapors 4x doom blade 1x hex 2x diabolic tutor 2x dark ritual land 27x swamp if anyone can tell from the card names, its an infect deck, and a pretty darn good one at that The skullcage feels out of place in a infect deck. You want to focus on doing poison damage and Skulcage doesn't do that. As Much as decimator Web reliably gives out poison counters, it just ties up your mana and is too slow. You need infect decks to be quick in this standard. Hex to me feels like it is just too situational to be effective. I suggest adding some ichor rats to combo with your hand of the praetor that way when the rats come out your opponent gets two poison counters instead of one. Also, adding green will open up a lot of posibilities for ramping into blightsteel and also pump spells. Hope this helps.

IF YOU KEEP IT MONO BLACK First I would take out Hex for Damnation, because if they do not have 6 creatures then you will have to target your own guys. I would run Tendrils of Corruption over the doomblades (because you actually care about your lifetotal, you are gonna be racing them), (and i would run only 25 lands at most) You should have 4 of those lands be sac lands if you are not able to make them to be inkmoth nexus. Contagion clasp is good, but I would use Sign in blood over the proliferate abbility unless you have other thigns to put counters on, such as everflowing challis or walkers. (you should run sign in blood, chalic, clasp, and walkers in the deck) Pherexian crusader is a 4 of and a must. Act of treason can be mark of mutany instead. there seems to be a lighting bold missing XD seems like you want to play with metalcraft, so i suggest everflwoing chalis over the myr, creatures are easier to kill then starit artifacts. you dont need bladed pinions because all the things that you want to fly (the big guys) have wings already. I would run viridian claws over the harness and the pinions that way your 2/2's can be used defensivly until you get something more threatening out. if metalcraft isnt too hard for you to get then run 4 galv blasts over the lightning bolts Good luck ^^

thanks for your feedback, ill most likely add those cards when i get my hands on them, but for now the deck is a good as i can get it for mono black

you know what would be awsome with this. cloudstone curio. You can bounce your lands! and replay them! that way you wont need to use the "return lands to your hand lands" cause they come into play tapped. you can use it for mroe spells 28 lands and 4 ponders instread? you can run 2-3 cloudstone curio because you only need one on the field and you can probubly draw one up with the horn of greed. and you'll be able to replay lands. you acttually only need like 25 lands because once you get curio and horn of greed with ANY of your "extra land play spells" you are bound to draw more and more crabs and what not. 4 lands should win you the game

Drafting is probubly the hardest thing to do in mtg. with this block you need to decide wether or not you want infect or not pending on your first 4 picks. I think you just need help with drafting moreso then deckmaking with this pool The way I draft this block (which is also where I found to be teh best tech) is in NP pack, I would pick ALL the best pherexian mana cards, because they are able to be played in ANY deck. that way you are still open in colours, think of them as colorless artifacts. (of course it is okay to decide a colour later on) In the Beisege pack I would look at my picks and see how many cards I have that have pherexian mana. its a deck that me and my crew have been comming up with, sideboard is still in the works. Hopefully it'll just be a deck that will catch people off gaurd in the open series. might more the spellpeirce out for distortion strike and move the spellpierce sideboarded.

24 Lands 3 marsh flats 4 verdant catacombs 13 swamps 4 tectonic edge (might change to swamps instead)
spells 4 go for the throat 4 sign in blood 2 mind sludge 2 mimic vat (might make this into lashwrithe) 2 lashwrithe
creatures 4 hexmages 4 gatekeeper of malakir 4 phyrexian metamorph 4 vampire knighthawk 4 phyrexian obliterator 4 vaultskirge (testing this guy out, seems to work well with the self sacrificial, and it's awsome with the lashwrithe)
