Ashierra frowned, shaking her head. "She's been with me the whole time. She'd have to be cloning herself to-" Her ears perked at the twin now on her other side, looking between the two girls. She chuckled softly. "See? Cloning."
She dug a couple more times before nodding, taking a firm hold just above the stuck boy's hips and lowered her face to the ground. "Kid? Relax, we're about to get you out." It took a minute of coaxing, but the boy's body went limp. "Okay, ready? Three. Two.." He came out a little, got stuck again, but then got loose and quickly was released from the little cave.
Gasping loudly, the little cervi with blue hair collapsed where Ashierra had set him down. "Ta.. ta.. tank you." He managed to squeak out.
Ryan stuck his tongue at the cattaur girl, giving on of the rocks a quick return toss at his sister. "Whatever." He grumped, sighing when the boy popped from the hole. He might as well save the teasing for later if everyone was going to be such a baby about it all. Snorting, he turned to head home.
Crista crossed her arms, turning her back to her brother. "He started it." She said pitifully to the other girl, ears down sadly. She wished her brother was as nice as those two.
When her friend was released and she heard his voice, she shrieked happily and ran over to lay on top of him, arms wrapping around. "You okay! You okay!"

"Cloning herself? Are you..." Alek trailed off as the other twin joined them. "Oh." He let out a growl of surprise before focusing back on the kid. When he came out the male cattaur let out a sigh of relief. Well that was fun.
The twins giggled as Alek freaked out when they both hugged him, "Thank you! And you too!" They tackled Ashierra before pulling back to their friends.
"Lets get outa 'ere!" Called both of the cattaur girls at the same time as they waved their friends over the hill. "'Fore it gets too dark!"
Alek looked at the little cervi boy, "You gonna make it home okay, kid?" He looked between the girl, Crista, and the cervi. Seemed like nothing was broken that was good.

Ashierra sighed in relief, reaching to brush some dirt from the boy's face. "You be careful where you hide now." She warned, leaning back in surprise when the girls hugged her. "Eh... You're welcome..."
She stood, watching where the kids were running off to. Hopefully they lived nearby.
Face red in embarassment, the cervi hung his head at the attention he recieved from the adults. "Yeah, I okay... I get-" He let out a squawk as his friend practically lifted him to his hooves and pulled him after the twins.
Crista nodded eagerly to Alek, happier than the two adults had seen her before."Yep yep! I get 'im right home! I put 'im right to bed! I keep 'im safe!" She squeaked happily, dragging the overwhelmed cervi after herself.

"Alright then! You take care." Alek called out with a chuckle as Crista dragged the little cervi boy away. After they had disappeared from view, Alek let out a sigh and leaned against a tree. Man, kids were tough though, he smiled faintly, not impossible. "Good job, Ashy. Those kids will forever remember their wonderful hero." He commented with a laugh while peeking at her from his resting place.

Ashierra shook her head. Kids were so odd, sticking their heads where they don't belong. She glanced up when Alek spoke, dropping her head to brush dirt off her legs and hide her face and the line that suddenly creased her forehead. Hero. She'd been one once. It was over-rated in her mind.
"I'd almost rather that centaur boy had been the one to get his head stuck. Get rid of that ego of his a little." She snorted, brushing her hands together.

"Hah! I wish." Alek replied before mischievously grinning. "I could have always let some flames tickle his tail. That would have shut him up." Playfully the cattaur let sparks tumble off of his finger tips before frowning, "Guess I'd make a pretty bad parent." He commented before lowering his hands. Now maybe Ashierra would be a good one, but him? Just the thought of being a parent made the cattaur chuckle.

Snickering softly, Ashierra waved a hand. "He probably would have kicked you like most bratty kids do to adults." His comment made her pause, glancing up at the male's frowning face. Parent? Him? She smiled ever so slightly, remembering the cattaur twins hugging him in appreciation for saving the cervi. That had been a cute picture actually.
Then again, they had hugged her too, and that scared any parenthood thoughts out of her head. She was no candidate for motherhood!
Still.... She was a cattur, and curiosity got a hold on her. "Why do you say that? You seemed to handle the little girl back there pretty well." She smirked again, pointing teasingly at the baby snot still stuck to Alek's shoulder. "Got her to calm down soon enough."

"Yeah and never lived to kick again..." Alek trailed off before shaking his head, "I mean well - he would have learned a lesson at least." He looked up at Ashierra with one of those 'are you serious?' looks.
Then she brought up the little girl and he flushed, "Ah, she just needed someone to defend her. Poor kid having such a brother like that, I know how much of a pain those can be." He shook his head before grinning up at Ashierra, "Though you handled things nicely. Almost like you're a natural mother there." Alek grimaced at her teasing reminder and stood up, "Anyways thanks for reminding me. Let's go find a stream or something can we?"

Ashierra laughed, shaking her head. "He'd lucky he didn't get a kick in the butt."
She didn't remember her brothers much, but she knew she had loved them. Her cheeks warmed at his encouragement. "Me? I just dug the kid out..." Letting the 'natural mother' part go, she nodded and perked her ears. "Yeah, we can freshen up. One should be around here somewhere."

"Yup." Alek replied before stretching his arms lazily over his head. "So? You did it very well." Chuckles as he imagines just blasting the kid from the ground. That wouldn't have gone over so well at all...especially since he didn't believe cervitaurs could fly or survive intense heat well for that matter.
"Anyway." Alek yawned, "Let's go find something." Tail swishing against Ashierra's side he moved towards the path again where he thought he had heard the sound of running water. Hopefully a creek or a river. He didn't care...anything with water in it sounded good at this point. Which was weird coming from a fire cattaur, but of course his fur would come before magic.

Smirking, Ashierra swatted at Alek's tail with her own. This was better. Back on the treck to... wherever. Enough talk of stupid brats and mothering. She had to admit, Alek had looked sweet comforting that little girl when he'd finally joined them at the hole.. And when those twins had been hugging him.
She shook her head. Time to reach a water source and wash herself of the nonsense in her head. What would they do with tiny children hindering their travels? The sound of running water perked her ears. "See? Like I said, not too far." Having grown up an oddity in the world of water magic cattaur, she bore no qualms in getting her feet wet.

"Great." Alek smiled at Ashierra before they turned and came towards a wide creek. Hesitation showed on his face as Alek carefully stepped towards the water. Sure it was nice and clear...but it did seem to get rather deep in the middle. Shaking his head Alek mentally chastised himself for being such a big baby about this. After wrinkling his nose, he stepped in.
"Woah!" Ears pressed against his skull, Alek looked sheepishly at Ashierra, "It's kinda cold." He muttered before scooping up water to get started on cleaning the snot and dirt from his fur. After the initial shock, Alek started to calm down as the water swirled around his paws. It was nice and serene here. Now if only he could get those kids out of his mind...Alek kept peeking over at Ashierra as he remembered how the little ones had taken to her.

Bending at the waist to give the water a cursory sniff, she nodded. Smelled and fresh as it looked. Fine water for bathing. Looking up at Alek's gasp, her worry turned to a playful teasing. "Well, you are a fire magician, are you not?" Stretching the claws of her toes, heat started to roll off of her body. Taking easy steps into the water, her magic warmed the liquid before it could touch her body to a comfortable bath temperature. Grinning to herself, and tossing Alek a 'go me' look, she lowered to lay on her belly to rinse her fur easier.

"Yeah." Alek mumbled something else before rolling his eyes at Ashierra. "Aww...now aren't you precious." He commented as he splashed water up his arms. Closing his eyes Alek actually started to enjoy the feel of the cool water against his skin until the steam started rolling off of his body.
"Oh great." Alek shook his head before peeking at Ashierra from beneath his bangs. Well since he was already in the water...he might as well enjoy it. With a growl, Alek tackled Ashierra and tugged her towards the middle of the creek and underneath the water with him.

Tossing Alek another triumphant look, she cleaned off as much dirt as she could. It easily sluiced off in the warmed water. She was actually quite relaxed until she was suddenly being pushed and pulled and dunked, the cold water a shock. Her legs kicked wildly and fire instinctively burst from her skin. Once she got her bearings back, the fire stopped and she forced herself above water for a gasp of air before being pulled back under.
If anyone else had tried that, they would have needed long treatments for burns. She felt his play though, and fire absorbed fire, so no harm done. Still, she didn't like being taken by surprise. She tried to turn toward Alek and get out of his grip, her paws reaching up to push away from him.
