"Wasn't denying it, just wasn't sure about the phrasing." She wasn't completely comfortable discussing her sexual life around so many other elves but he seemed like he was still alluding to it. "Do you have to be invited? You know it's always open for you."
Lhia understood Ty's obligations and knew he probably needed to respond to some things himself. She didn't want him to go and was definitely going to miss his company, but it was easier to let him go than have Syrinne constantly bugging them all night. "Go on, Ty. I'll be right over here when you finish and we can pick right back up. Unless you want me to come, too?" Wouldn't that just make Sy's day?

"Yeah, but the polite thing to do is wait to be invited. Rather than just showing up and getting in your way or something. After all, I'd rather not be on the receiving end of you having a bad day when I think you're having a good one."
"It is a matter that if I must attend to, it can be seen tomorrow. I would hope that others are respectful enough to not interrupt Brigade rank ceremonies just for their own petty squabbles."
Well, he just wasn't budging tonight was he? Which was a tad odd for him as usually he'd give a lot easier. "Fair enough. I suppose it can wait till this is officially over."
"And after I've gotten some reverie. I don't like making decisions with a weary mind." Turning his attention more or less back to Lhia and leading her over to where others were gathered, mostly by food a drink, smirking a group of young rankers moping over their hands. "Now now, none of that. We all go through that. Be gentlemen and get the lady a drink, the more you use your hands the faster the pain goes away."

"No, you just want to make sure Daddy Kieran is in a good mood so you aren't chased out of the palace." Nuzzling him with a chuckle and spinning once more. "Lucky for you, I think I'm having a particularly good day. I was missing you and you showed up. How can I be having a bad day after that?"
She was just as shocked as the other elf and stared at Ty for a long moment. Was he serious? He'd basically just put his foot down that no official business would be taking place tonight. Which also meant that he was possibly devoting the rest of it to her. Her chest expanded with the thought and she felt giddy inside.
Lhia was much more prone to fuss over the boys who'd had their tattoos slapped on their palms and she merely shook her head. "I'm fine, boys. But the cool glasses work wonders at numbing away the pain." Reaching over and lightly ruffling the hair of the boy closest to her. "I'm pretty sure Master Tyyrael would like a drink, though, Thralelyck."

"That too, it's always a plus." Chuckling as she nuzzled at him before giving her a wide grin. "Oh so I made your day did I? And here I was thinking that I was more of ruining your friend's day." Nuzzling her back, "Well then I'll have to stay, least I make you upset by parting too soon from you."
He gave a mere raise of an eyebrow at the look he was given and gave a little shrug of his shoulders to it all. A look as she refused her drink and he was given one instead and he clapped the boy on the back. "Time heals all wounds, remember that boys. Besides, Lhia here had to go through it too and she didn't complain at all. The less you think about it, the less it all hurts."

"She had just been talking about meeting you, Nyc. I don't think you ruined it at all. After this dance is over, I have a feeling she'll be telling me how much fun she's having and how happy she is to be here. In her own special way, of course." The dance hadn't slowed down but she wanted to be closer to him so she slid in and slipped her arms around his neck, swaying more than dancing. "That would cause me to have a bad day and be angry next time you appeared."
That was a lie and they both knew it. She hadn't complained verbally but she had cried her eyes out while it was happening. "It's not quite as glamorous as you're thinking. I was the only female to make rank that round and I wanted to make sure they didn't outdo me. So I refused to complain or anything like that because I didn't want to lose face in front of the boys."

"We'll see when we all head home now won't we? She just seems like the type that doesn't get out much and it could all be overwhelming. I suppose she's a new friend since I've never met her. Since when did you go prancing around Requias? It's dangerous out there you know."
Lie indeed, but he had never said anything to any of the outbursts that came like that. It was particularly painful after all. "She held her own and learned that there are far worse things. You will too in time." Chuckling lightly at the brief spot of horror that passed on their faces. "I mean that in the most positive way. Everyone gets hurt sooner or later."

"She is. Her parents are a bit over-protective after Vrist. It's understandable, really, but she needed to get out and see the world as it really is. Her parents have painted it as an unsafe place and she'll never really be able to live because of their fear." Her lips quirked briefly and she brushed them over his. "Yes, Daddy Kieran, I do know that. And I didn't meet her in Requias. Daddy Kieran asked her parents to come see him at the castle and bring her along. Then he orchestrated it so I would show her around. He must have counted on my penchant for getting into trouble..."
"Stop scaring them, Ty. They'll forget we own them and try and run away." Giving a grin to the group. "The drills you ran in the classroom and while you were training are possible situations. Some are more tame and others are worse. It'll take some time to learn it but you all will. And any harm that befalls you can be fixed or minimized in one way or another. I nearly lost my right hand on a mission and a healer managed to put it all back to rights." Ty had been there that time, too.

"Oh so Kieran has been setting things up has he? Doesn't surprise me that she would be Obsidian then, but I thought he wasn't supposed to be playing around in Requias right now, what with the latest spat between him and Mahlari." Smirking at her. "Penchant for trouble, are you hiding a little devil from me or am I a part of the trouble?"
"Indeed she did. Got it crushed to where no one was sure if it was even a hand. But all things were set right and you'd never know, now would you? Just remember boys, courage isn't being brave before the trial but being brave during and rising to meet it." Insipirational words alywas given out and such at these events before he turned his attention to her once more as the boys wandered off. "I think you'd make a fine Brigade Master if I wasn't around."

"He's not but he finds ways to still communicate and such with them. He promised he wouldn't set a foot inside Requias not that he wouldn't send others with messages." Giving him a mischievous smile and then twirling away with a sassy shake of her hips. "You mean you've never met the naughty side of me?"
Lifting up her hand, she flexed and unflexed her fingers and rotated her wrist to prove that all was indeed in working order. She gave them a few more words of approval and then ushered them off to enjoy themselves with dances and revelry to take their minds off the pain. Glancing over at Ty, she shook her head. "I'd be too soft. It was hard enough to punish Vale when he broke the rules and I often went much lighter on him than my supervisors did on me. I can't even imagine handling all the young, impulsive elves in the Brigade."

"Of course, he always has workarounds." Kieran was just like that. But he gave a laugh as he pulled her back to him from her twirling. "I don't know, have i? Or is that not a thing for public viewing?" Stopping in their motions and blinking over her shoulder at the obsidian who stood there. A nod so she'd look to.
Arae was standing behind them, with her shoes in hand and looking slightly unhappy. "Um...I don't want to be a bother..." But.
"Don't sell yourself short." The festival went as usual before people started dropping off for the night, either they had shifts come the morning or went to sulk over their hands or what not. Of course, he had the responsibility to be last to leave, save for those who would clean up afterwards. To his surprise, she had stayed with him even though he more or less told her she could take his horse and head back. Finally though, they had been headed back to his house, and he was currently untacking his horse.

She leaned back into him, bumping her hips in another naughty move and laughed. "I don't like my people to know that I have a spicy side. That's for certain eyes only, but I'm certainly no angel." Glancing up, she gave Are a smile and laughed. "You wouldn't be a bother at all. Nyc and I were just talking about how we were going to tell you we were ready to leave. You were having such a time of dancing we weren't sure you'd want to."
Lhia had helped clean up while he was saying his goodbyes and doing official things. She'd always done such things it seemed so no one questioned it when she didn't leave with everyone else. Or maybe they knew more than she thought they did. Either way, they were now back home and she was nervous and uncertain. He'd kissed her earlier...did that mean they were going to do things differently tonight? "I'll...make us some tea." She needed to check on Vale anyway. And maybe the normal routine would dispel the awkwardness some...or maybe not.

She was trying her best to get out of her dress, which was involving some turning around in a circle and chasing of her sash around her waist. "I had fun...but I don't like the crowds. Too much bumping and...funny looks."
He gave her a nod, and continued to tend to his horse, "Change your clothes before you do, no sense in being uncomfortable." Taking his own moment to pamper the horse and such before heading inside to change out of his clothes. Sometimes he hated wearing layers.
Vale was busy doing his exercises with his arm like he knew he was supposed to do...and goofing off with them at the same time mostly to amuse himself. Sitting on his bed, he had a bowl of half eaten mixed something or other. "See, I can be good." Said as she poked into the room of course.

Lharika caught her gently and undid the sash completely, unbuttoning the delicate pearl buttons all along Are's back. "It can be pretty overwhelming, even I'll admit to that. Would you think about going to another one?"
She slowly made her way inside, taking a moment to make sure Vale was doing what he was supposed to be. Ruffling his hair, she picked up the bowl and studied it. Cold which meant he'd eaten all he wanted or she needed to heat it up. "I'll take care of this for you. Make sure you get some reverie tonight, Vale. We missed you at the festival." Heading back downstairs and turning on the kettle for tea while taking care of Vale's dinner and the rest of the dishes in the sink.
She debated on her next course of action the whole time she was preparing the tray and was standing before his door before she'd even realized she'd climbed the stairs. Shaking her head and scolding herself for being fanciful and reading too much into things, she pushed open the door and headed inside. "I brought tea..."

Standing still to get unbuttoned, she took to wriggling out of her dress and into a borrowed nightdress. Though she did take a moment to brush her fingers over the silky material. She didn't have this kind of fancy at home. "I suppose...why are there a lot of them?"
"I'm sure you had your own fun without me." Nodding at her and giving her the customary goodnight kiss on the cheek before he took to settling in for the night.
It was a nightly ritual they had come to enjoy. One of them would make tea and they would sit for a while. Sometimes talking, sometimes just sitting and enjoying each others company and the comfortable silence. Sitting on the bed, he was stripped down to his waist and currently pulling off his boots as he looked up at the door opening. He gave her a look up and down before a light tilt of his head. "You didn't change? You're not going to be comfortable like that, beautiful as you look, you still won't be comfy."

Lharika picked up a brush and began to gently run it through her friend's hair to remove all the pins and such that she'd used to keep it in place and styled. "Nyc and I have a lot of obligations and things like that we attend. You're welcome to come along anytime you want but if you don't want to we'd completely understand as well. I just want you to have the opportunity to get out anytime you want."
She very nearly dropped the tray when she saw his current state of dress and then blinked at him. "What? Oh...yes, I...should do...that..." She turned around to head back out and knocked her head against the door in her rush. The tray tipped, spilling tea and cookies all over the floor and splashing against the door. Her Brigade reflexes kicked in causing her to jump back to avoid being scalded or her dress all messed up. "Heavens...look what I've done."
