Reed coughed again, then laughed. "It was Z," he said. "But... I managed to eavesdrop before he found me."
At this, Reed looked around and met the eyes of every one of them, each individually.
"Z has an apprentice."

"An apprentice?" Kasai repeated. It didn't seem like Z would be the type to have an apprentice. So the second person in the tunnels was his apprentice. she thought to herself. "Do you know who the apprentice is?" she asked him.

"No," Reed said, sadly. Shaking his head, he shrugged. Then he stood up, deciding that for all his laziness the dirt wasn't a comfortable bed. "I didn't. But they were in the Shrine, practicing magic."

"I only listened," Reed replied. "I was under that window there," he said, pointing, "and I listened to them. I ran after a bit, but I tripped. Someone shocked me... to death, I guess," he finished, shrugging again.

"Oh well. We'll meet up with them sooner or later," Kasai said. "But for now, you should probably get some rest," she said to Reed.

At this point Reed did laugh, and loudly. He dusted himself off and rolled his shoulders. "It's okay," he replied. "I've slept most of my life away. I can promise you that I'll never need rest... even if I want it twenty fours hours a day."

Kasai laughed lightly, "Alright." Then she looked at all of them there. "So now what should we do? Wait for Fatal to come back or try to find him?" she asked.
