"Not that that paid off much, there's still a hole in your wall..." Joker replied.

"That, unfortunately, was caused by more recent events." Fisk replied.

Joker switched gears. "Mr. Wilson, tell me, have you ever heard of 'loyalty'?"

Joker smiled a creepy little smile, and said, "I don't mean your average, unwavering loyalty. I'm talking about the kind that, unfortunately, money CAN buy... The kind that people like Gossamer and myself usually exhibit. The kind that, for the right price, can loosen lips rather well, and sink your proverbial ship. Don't think of this extra thousand dollars as interest... Think of it as insurance... A retainer, if you will. A reminder that you have a respect for our kind of loyalty."

Fisk looked at Joker a moment, then smiled very slightly. "Very well..I suppose if I look at it that way. And extra thousand should be nothing." he replied. He did have a bit of a point. Gossamer shouldn't know very much that she shouldn't. But she did have a habbit of being sneaky about things, as well as using telepathy when convinient.

"Mr. Wilson," Joker said, "I do believe that we have reached an agreement, then?" 'And no need to assault the fat tub of lard, either... Disappointing...' The clown mused in his head.

"I believe so." Fisk replied. "Wait one moment and I'll send for Gossamer's final pay. I was about to bring up a small pay for one of my newer employees." he said as he picked up a nearby phone and pressed one of the buttons on speed dial. He turned his chair a bit to face away from Joker. He could have, and probably would have stuck with what he said the first time. Gossamer did cost him more than she was worth on her last job. But...with the current events taking place, and not recognising the man from being from his own universe, it was probably in his better interest to try and stay allies with Gossamer. If she now had ties from the other universe, things could turn out in his favor.

While Joker waited, he pulled out a deck of cards and started doing various flurishes and trick shuffles, to keep himself amused. The clown momentarily considered killing the big man anyways, then decided against it. If he DID pay, this could turn into a profitable relationship. If he DIDN'T, THEN he'll kill the bowling ball on legs, possibly by checking if speeding bullets would hit him, or just fall into orbit around him.

[ENTER from Warehouse]
A shadow moved a bit in the corner of the large room, and Shadow Spider soon emerged from the floor. ”Alright, Rosie’s found the warehou-” she started to say, then stopped when she noticed that there was someone else in the room. He had company, or was doing business with someone else. From the way the other man looked…must have been business. ”Sorry.” she apologized. Her attention then went to the door as she heard it open. A man walked in carrying two metal suitcases. She didn't see her pay in the corner like she had asked, so one of them might be hers. Or they were both for the clown with the cards. She could wait either way. She needed to talk to her new boss about propper housing for the girl.

"Eh?" Joker watched the person rise from the floor with a little surprise. He almost didn't even notice the man with the suitcases walk in. "Who're you, woman?"

"Shadow Spider" she replied automatically, turning her attention back towards the man.

Joker followed suit, looking at the man with the suitcases. "So, which of those is mine?"

Fisk glanced back at the man who had entered the room. "Ah, good. Give the six thousand to the man here, and the other to Shadow."
The man knodded and moved towards Shadow, being the closest, and gave her the case in his right hand. Then moved towards the man sitting in front of Fisk's desk to give him his.

"Just a second, sir," Joker said as the man moved to give him the case. "Mr, Wilson, please instruct your employee to open the case towards himself, then slowly turn it towards me." He didn't know how trickythis guy was, and was taking no chances.
