Tarin stepped gracefully onto the stone floor of Doom's throne room. She smiled appreciatively at the space's beauty before training her gaze upon the others. Her eyes widened slightly at Thor, now holding Doom into the air. "I do not know what you are doing, stranger." she said, addressing the god, "But that man just saved our lives." she took a step closer to the god, her ring flashing, "Perhaps you should put him down."

Rage was focused at Thor. No one dares to touch Victor von Doom. Corsing eldrich energy combined with his suit's powe reserve. Backhanding Thor's gripping hand on his green tunic, Doom angled his strike to free himself from Thor's grasp, "UNHAND ME, ASGARDIAN!!!"
Doom's powered backhand knocked himself free, but the Latverian dictator continued his verbal assault on Thor, "If I had been truly attempting to do you harm, Thunder God, you would certainly know it!!! Also, I didn't bring you into my home to assuage your ego!!! There are far more important concerns here than whatever differences there are between us Thor!!! I have ascertained that. And while you and your Avengers have been noticably absent, I, Victor von Doom, have been pushing back dark forces that you couldn't possibly comprehend!!! I highly suggest that you stand back and listen!!!"
Firestar and Starfire simply stared in shock with their mouths hanging open.

"FIGHT! I'll gladly join you!" Atrocitus laughed.
Elasa, however, hurriedly hovered between the two. "Stop! Please, this is not the time for fighting!" she pleaded, looking to both Thor and Doom plaintively. "Please, let us calm down and hear each other out!"
Captain America sighed, and folded his arms. "The woman is right, Thor. We've got bigger problems on our plate." he said.

Eira nodded and looked at the Captain. "Fighting amongst ourselves will only allow the enemy to break us down that much easier."

Doom half laughed, but nodded toward Eira, "I would have to agree with you, Miss," then nodding toward Cap, "And to barrow a quote from one of your American Presidents, 'A house divided against itself cannot stand.'"

Thor gritted his teeth as Doom released himself from Thor's grip. Thor never underestimated the power this maniac had and didn't like him one bit. Though after hearing the concerns from the others and the Captain's words, he decided against pushing against Doom.
Lowering his hammer and bowing slightly to Doom as a sign of respect. Thor spoke softly, "I apologize for my rash actions. Tis I merely am cautious when it comes to old foes. If Captain speaks on thee behalf then I shall trust you for now."
Valdemar glanced around the room at the chaos. If this is what happens when they get together for a friendly meeting, then what happens when they actually fight with one each other. When they have to count on each other to watch their back and put their lives into each others' hand.
Valdemar looked to Elasa as he spoke, "Do you really think it is wise to bring these forces together? They are so different, how are we going to work together. Will they really be able to trust each other when the true enemy shows himself?"

Starfire looked on with concern at everyone, and worry showed clearly on her face. Slowly, the orange skinned Tamarian held up her hand and spoke, almost in a queak at first, "Ummmm.... I think.... We do not have a choice, but to trust each other. Valdemar, I have personally observed humans who were violently opposed to each other who have allied together effectively against a common foe. We must work together, but I believe that you need to explain to everyone what exactly we are fighting. Otherwise, the lack of information would be bad for all of us."

"What are we fighting?" Eira whispered. "Do you remember the day when the sun fell black and the dead woke?" her own thoughts flickered back to the night she had been given her ring. The night her family had been killed.

To recap what Eira meant as well as inform the others, Elasa launched into an explanation of the Blackest Night, and the resurgence of Nekron.
Meanwhile, in another part of Castle Doom, a lone figure dropped down from a high spot. He flattened himself against a wall, trying his best to not be seen. He'd heard this castle would be incredibly difficult to infiltrate and steal from... But he was confident he'd prove those that told him wrong.

After receiving an explaination about 'Blackest Night', Doom listened attentively, "I see. So, this Nekron is essentially the master of the undead.... Or at least that is how it sounds to me. I have fought such things before. Though the undead are powerful, there will always inherent weaknesses those monster all share."

As the others continued to talk in the throne room, the man who had snuck into the castle kept close to the shadows. He entered another room and spied a humanoid figure, one that looked like it wore a cloak and hood. His eyes narrowed, and he snuck past it, heading into a sort of armory.
"True," Atrocitus said to Doom, his arms folded. "Black Lanterns feed off of emotion, although they cannot experience emotions themselves; it weakens them."

It seemed like a lightbulb turned on in Starfire's head. As the green-eyed alien seemed to perk up, "Ummm... perhaps Raven can assist on preventing these... things from feeding on our emotions?"

Elasa shook her head slowly. "Unlikely. Even if we have our emotions masked, the Black Lantern Rings will simply detect others and attempt to kill those beings in an attempt to create more Black Lanterns," she said to Starfire.
As they talked, Cap folded his arms and pursed his lips as he thought on what to do about this. "Well," he said to the group, "I'd say that, after what happened in the Blackest Night, the source of this is Nekron. We need to find a way to stop him before he rises again."
The man looked around at the armory; it was dark and difficult to see in, so he gradually made his way out of the place and continued his search for valuables.

"Nekron lies on a plane few can enter." Eira said. "We have tried." she drew her staff close to her body, a reaction to the forbidding thought in mind. "Nekron cannot truly be killed, either. When there is White Light, so must there be Black."

Reyna's lips curled in annoyance. "And we are the wretches stuck in between..." she thought. As far as the color spectrum went, she figured Avarice, Rage, and Fear all leaned more towards the Black light. But then she remembered a tale Sinestro had once told her, about the Indigo Tribe's leader killing a man with out a thought, and trying to do the same. Completely out of cold blood. She reassessed Eira. Could she do the same?
