Nightshade's scales were darker then usual. They were a deep blue almost black. Nightshade knew what was happening outside his body but his body was asleep. The dark magic in the staff was changing him.

Zai got up, and looking at him quickly jumped to her feet. Bending back down and putting her hand on his neck, she said, "Vital signs good..." She pulled out a small flashlight and opened his eye and flashed it, "Brain activity, normal." Then pressed a few joints and different pressure points, making sure any twitching or response would be right. "Reaction good." Zai turned her head to Julian, "Kid, any idea what would cause this?"

Nightshades scales went back to normal but something was difrent about em. Something that you could see but not think of it. Like if you knew what it was and it was on the tip of your tounge but you couldnt figure it out

Zai pulled out a small container, then pulling out a needle filled it up with what was inside the container, and injected it into Nightshade. "A simple mix of caffine and such, if there's anything wrong, this will calm his nerves and cause him to wake just a bit quicker, yeah."

Nightshade woke up suddenly feeling energized. He looked at himself and noticed his scales were difrent. "Stupid staff." He muttered to himself

"She will be back." Nightshade said as he stood up. He looked at his scales again. He finaly noticed what was difrent. If you looked deep it looked like there was a mist in the scales and it looked like it moved.
