"But are they listening?" Aleksi said holding up a finger in deduction. "Just drop them as if you were attempting to put them in your bag, and missed." He said turning around and walking away. "Come on." he said beckoning to her. "I know where we can hide."

Ciara did as Aleski told her and the cards fell to the ground. She stood and followed him.

"Well done." Aleksi said as he heard the cards flutter to the ground. He continued walking. He walked in a large circle which obstructed the view at a few points, causing any eavesdroppers to lose the visual trail. He ended at a building that was in sight of the cards. He crouched down, glancing around the corner at where the cards were dropped.

Ciara followed Aleski carefully. She waited expectantly and watched her cards closely.

Aleksi sat from his crouch, to be more comfortable. A few minutes passed. He shifted to another position. After a few more minutes, he again shifted impatiently, cursing quietly.

Ciara looked at Aleski patiently. "Think they're gonna come?" she asked.

Aleksi stood. He looked once more around the corner at the cards. "They would." hesaid turning to look at Ciara. "But they would have come by now..." He began to pace frustrated.

Aleksi sighed and slumped against the wall. He slid down until he was sitting. "YOur right I musnt rush things." he confided to Ciara shamefully.

Ciara hoped the bandits would come soon. She didn't want anyone else to touch her cards.

Aleksi waited for a few more minutes. It had been over fifteen minutes since they dropped the cards. Aleksi punched the wall in frustration. "Dammit!" he yelled. He put his hands to his face and began to sob quietly. "They arn't here." he said, tears and blood from his cut open hand driping down his cheek.

"Aleski! Calm down!" Ciara said. She grabbed his wrist to look at the cut on his hand. "Maybe they are, and they just didn't see. Or they weren't interested."

Aleksi witheld his tears. and pulled his hand away from his face. He took a deep breath, then wiped his eyes. He sat in silence.

Ciara let go of Aleski's wrist and sat beside him. "Got a plan B?" she asked casually.

Aleksi looked up. Plots formulated in his head. "No..." He said submissively. "The people weren't masterminds. Just brutes who attack the innocent and cause pain for profit. They aren't some evil syndicate with eyes on every street corner." He said with increasing frustration at Ciara's rightful ignorance of the enemy. "If I couldn't find them like this, than they aren't here!" he concluded nearly yelling at her. He pounded his hand on the ground next to him.
