"Arms dealing, influence peddling among other things," Blake said as he rubbed his fingers together. We provide the dough, and some of the man power to help, how shall we say, rocket your chosen fields of business to a even more successful bracket and we take a cut. We don't pretend to want to tell you how to do you business, you are the best in your area, but we see the potential for so much more business if properly focused, and why not be the ones to both help with and prosper from such an endeavor?"

"Still, you do not have to answer me now, and know that regardless of your decision concerning my fellow's offer, I still extend my offer to help with your little team. So sleep on it and give me your answer tomorrow."

Blake patted JJ on the shoulder before he walked into the warehouse as they were rattling off names and quickly realized what they were doing.

"How about 'The Horsemen'?" He said with a grin, "Ominous enough for you?"

-------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------

Tara sighed as she flipped open the first page of the journal. On it she found incredibly elegant cursive hand writing scrawled on the paper, proclaming: "This Journal Belongs to Kyle Charles Fhaytei. If ye should look in this book with intentions of malice, ye shall be cursed. Otherwise, ye are welcome to learn of my life, for I lived it so others might benefit."

Along the edges of the paper were scrawled runes in the same handwriting, as well as words in a language that's structure was completely foreign to her, though its closest likeness was Latin, for all she could tell. She flipped the pages to see that all the paper was outlined so and turned over the journal, tracing the spine as she did, finding more runes and magic carved into the leather along the borders of every side of the book.

She had a hunch and pulled out a lighter, flicking it open and striking the flint under the book, causing a flame to burn on the edge of the book. Though the flame danced across the binding the book did not catch flame, and when she touched it after putting away her lighter, it was still cool to the touch. She then whipped out a butterfly knife and jabbed it at the journal to find that the blade did not even scratch the leather outside.

"It seems that Kyle went to great lengths to see that this book remained immutable from any harm," Tara said as she put away her knife. "These etchings must have taken him a long time to transcribe along every page."

She paused for a moment before she asked Chamberlain, "Have you ever tried to read it?"
Chamberlain shook his head. "I never really tried. "I was there when he wrote most of it, he couldn't have started it much before he met me. Besides, I can only read the English and Gaelic. He seems to skip around in what language he wrote in."

Tara paused as she flipped through the book and said, "It seems he knew quite a few languages...French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, Arabic, a few African languages, Egyptian, Latin, Greek. There are a few languages here I can't read, but they seem very old from their structure. I think if I have Tinker look at it...."

Tara's eyes widened as the text on the page she indicated in a language she could not read suddenly twisted and rearranged itself into English.
She informed Chamberlain of the change as she frantically flipped towards the end of the Journal. The last day was dated the day of Kyle's death.

Once again it was in a more ancient language than Tara knew of, but as she looked at it, it changed for her. It said, and she read aloud:

"Tara, it would seem that you have found dear Chamberlain and with it my journal. It may seem eerie that I talk to you now, especially considering how I know events have a high likelihood to play out in the next few hours, and I will soon lack the ability to prevent much of it."

"There was so much I wished to tell you in life Tara, so much I want to share with you, to show you. But I knew you were not ready then, you were only beginning on your path back to the light. I could not shake the ground beneath your path with revelations that were both unnecessary and unimportant. Believe as I hope you always have and always will, that I loved you as much as you did me, and that what I have done, and not done was for you, and through you, a better future for many, so I have seen in my walks among the intertwining paths of fate.

"This is the only entry that I have made with future knowledge of your reading, all of my other scribblings, thoughts, plans, triumphs, joys, sadness and regrets are laid bare as they were when I wrote them, and what I knew then, they have not been changed. May they be a map to my mind and heart and may they answer at least some of the endless questions you have had since I met you, they have always been something that enamored me to you, your unstable need to know the truth and to never be ignorant longer than you can help it.

"Know that I have been called by many names, fought for many causes and done many things in my life, but always, you truly were my greatest treasure and endeavor. The final page of my journal has been left for your consideration. Write what you will, and what of my mind and soul I have imparted to this vessel will respond in kind.

"Fare you well dearest, one who's true name is Arenyn."

Tara paused as she look to the pages to the right of the current one. It was the last entry, yet there seemed to be many pages placed into the bindings afterward. As she flipped through them she saw it was and appendix of words and phrases in the language she could not read before, and their translations. Then after those entries was one empty page, the scratchings around the edge of the paper were much more complex, the runes drawn in thicker lines...and she noticed as she reached out with powers....dried blood permeated the ink. She had to assume it was Kyles. She did not want to write on it yet though, not yet.

"Arenyn," she whispered as she looked up the word. "Arenyn means...pure soul."

She sat there for a moment staring at the open book before she seemed to think of something and flipped back in the book, skimming as she did.

"He wrote you true name in here as well," she said the Chamberlain, "Would you like to know it?"

"He always smiled at me and told me a beautiful woman would tell me one day."

"He always smiled at me and told me a beautiful woman would tell me one day."

Tara found herself blushing slightly, though she quickly hid it as she continued. "It says he had a hard time coming to correct word, and that he found that when he discovered what yours was he realized why it had been so hard."

She flipped from near the front of the book to the back. "He says your true name is Volshu. In the back it says the world's meanings are plural, and often depend on how the word is used in the sentence, who is using it and towards whom. But generally, it seems its general meanings encompass ideas such as 'valor', 'courage', 'adventurous' and 'undaunted' yet can also mean some more dubious but still possibly positive traits such as 'sly' or 'competitive'"

Tara's brow furrowed for a moment before she said, "Mystic, a mage of some experience and power once talked about true names with me, though not in too much detail. She said that in magic, if you know something's name in the base language of all magic, known as "Words of Power" in its own tongue, you can make it true by simply speaking it or writing it. You might write on the side of a rock in this language that the rock was made of cotton, and it would become true the instant you finished the sentence and imbued it with even a touch of magic. To speak words in the language made reality so. To say the word for 'die' and direct it at a person, if they had no defense for it, they would simply die. To speak the word of 'death' and all who heard the word and were not immortal or immune for some other reason would die. In the same was you could proclaim 'fly' at any object and it would do so."

"The most powerful thing a mage could do besides learning this language was to discover their own true name in it. To speak it in the right context and with the right intent would grant the user many times more power than they once had, and their power would increase in much greater leaps from that point on. On the flip side, if you learned another person's true name you could control them with ease unless they themselves proclaimed their name to break the hold, or shield themselves from anything that mage would do in that language."

"From the depth of understanding that Kyle had of this language and the fact that he was guessing other people's true names, he may well have known his own true name for some time."

Tara's face softened as she said, "That is why he must have been looking for the true names of those close to him, once he told us, though we could not use it to grow in power of magic that we do not know, we could protect ourselves from the power of another who sought to control or attack us"

Chamberlain nodded slowly. "Yes... I see. I cannot control magic myself, but I have an affinity for using magical items from Europe. Even so, Kyle taught me a few words to use in an emergency though I never used them. Perhaps he was trying to prepare me for a trial yet to come. I cannot believe you showing up here is a coincidence."

"Kyle spoke of 'walking the intertwining paths of fate'. Perhaps he was able to look into the future, among other abilities, or he may have just been able to see more clearly how everyone and everyone is connected. Perhaps there is something or someone that had or is still toying with our strings like puppets to some sick dance only they can understand, and perhaps Kyle either knew of them or was beginning to."

"I will speak with Mystic on this as soon as possible and....."
Tara trailed off for a moment before she exclaimed, "Ah ha! I knew I had heard the name Fhaytei before. Mystic has always been one of our more inconsistent members, as well as our most elusive in terms of background checks, but I heard her once say her surname was Fhaytei! It seems I have more to discuss with her than previously thought. She may be of close relation to Kyle."

-----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
[[I will send you something on this Zegura, but I assure you he is harmless until further notice, story purposes only.]]
Outside a man stood, looking in on Chamberlain and Tara as they discussed. He was in plain view of either of them, yet for some reason, no matter what method, they would not be able to see or sense him, he had made sure of that. His hearing was so attuned to listening to them that when a wavering shadow materialized next to him and spoke it was as if a bull horn was next to him.

"How much do they know?" the second man, one of fairly young age if taken at face value said.

"Enough," the first said, his white hair painting him as much older than his flawlessly un-aged features portrayed. "But nowhere near what I had first thought they may. However, it would not be very hard for them to learn of us Necromis, much of the pieces to the puzzle are within Wyvern's journal, if they can put them together, and with minds such as Ms. Illias and Ms. Feller I'm quite sure it will happen. When is the only question."

"You could just look into the future, or go there," Necromis said with a flat smile, "Then we would know, just like that. Not to mention what you might want to to about that mountain in the air."

"I could," the first man said as he folded his arms, "but you know I would rather not, after so many years sometimes it is more satisfying to see things unfold with only your gut to tell you what will happen. I found knowing everything before it happened grew old long before you were born. Besides, it is not necessary and you know full well that directly acting in relation to the current events in this city is full well beyond our scope of allowed interference. If a favor is to be lent, a price is to be paid for it, and so far I know of no one in this city that knows to request such an exchange."

"Pfft," Necromis said as he waved his hand, "You're boring Helix, just plain old boring. All that power and no will left to use it."

"I have plenty of will," Helix said as he glared at Necromis and the younger man suddenly seemed very worried and disappeared in a swirl of mist as quickly as he could, saying, "Stay out of my head!"

Helix shook his head as he rubbed his palm on his temples. "How many centuries must it take for you to mature Necromis?" He asked himself as he notice Tara make the connection between Kyle and Mystic. "Quite the astonishing speed of though you have Ms. Illias. Even I did not think you to figure it out so quick. You may well stumble on us quicker than anticipated."

Helix seemed genuinely happy at the current conversation between Chamberlain and Tara as he said, "Wyvren must be quite proud of how you've embraced the path he set you on Ms. Illias. The good you have done in this world is just as he shrived for. I look forward to showing you just how special you were to him."

Helix was interupted by his thoughts as a streak of red moving faster than the speed of light streaked from the sky and stopped next to him where it took the form of a female shape, glaring as bright as a the sun. It quickly dimmed to reveal a woman that looked in her mid to late twenties with waist length orange-red hair and glowing green eyes, dressed in a revealing crimson suit.

"When you talk to yourself it always makes you seem senile Helix," she said as she stood near him. "How is the situation?"

Helix seemed none to worried about the her question and said, "I see you went with long hair today Infinite."

Infinite raised on eyebrow as she said, "You know since I ascended I can manifest in whatever body I choose, changing my hair is....oh, you're being a smart a**, right."

"Just a little fun with the newbie," Helix said and then continued, "It goes, I do not think it is cause for concern that any involved discover what there is to discover, it will do no harm. Of course, this is of some personal interest to you isn't it? I do believe the Illias twins worked with you for awhile in the Immortals group before it disintegrated and you ascended in that fateful fight as you obliterated that Greek half god Nyx. Do I remember right?"

Infinite's pace saddened for a moment as she remembered something incredibly painful for her. "You remember well, I knew of the Illias family's past through the male twin. He discussed such things with few, but I was one. Only after I found myself with you people did I fully realized what much of things in their rather tragic family history meant. Is it true you stripped him?"

"Hm," Helix said with a slight grimace. "Yes, though I did not enjoy it, I was the one who personally sealed away Wyvern's magic from him. Whisper had offered but I felt it was my burden to carry out the deed. He and I both know what was coming so I was sad indeed to do it as such and hour, yet I had to, otherwise the cogs that were set in motion would have never moved. It is sad that such prices are paid by mortals while we, the architects pay no fare for our dealings. As long as we do no harm to the realms themselves the one being and does not see fit to grant his forces the power to rip life from our bodies, though I know Death well wants to tear Necromis' soul from his flesh with a passion."

"Let us not dwell on such things Helix, I know you enjoy actually flying from place to place, so let us fly," said Infinite as she was surrounded in a red aura and shot from where she stood, driven by a blast of pure engery behind her.

Helix nodded as he said, "Let us fly," and launched himself into the air, catching up to Infinite easily as they flew off into the distance.....

"May I join you?" Chamberlain asked in a polite tone, "I would like to meet this Mystic. Especially if she a connection to Kyle." The look of ernest on his face was down right cute.

Aw now I feel bad.....I should say something"There is no such thing as a hero Angela, Heroes are cowardly, vain, and superficious. What you did was brave and bold, not heroic. Be proud of that because when others did nothing you chose to act. That is what you should want to be."
"But..." She turned her face toward Reaper. Her one good eye was streaming with tears. "People died! I didn't help anyone! I..I couldn't..."

Reaper placed a hand on her shoulder "There are somethings that cannot be prevented.....I've spoken to Sovereign, the man who could fly at the fight, about it before and he said something that I believe in. 'No matter how much power you have there will always be the ones that you cannot save.' Angela I don't know why Dr. Caryle would kill innocent people, but what I do know is that none of us saw it coming there was no way for any of us to be ready. But you know what" Reaper said hs eyes seemed warm it was obvious that he was smiling under his mask" I'm teach you everything I know so that one day you will be able to save the unsaveable. You have powers that I can only dream of, with some more experience I bet you could do great things kid, you can be a true champion of the people. Ok so do't cry things will be better."
Angela nodded and wiped her eye in a cute child way. Ricky turned down the tunnel and about halfway there was a shaft for repairs of the city's sewer system. He turned down that and after a few tricky whips of the back end of the car they entered in a disused water main. The thing was huge, at least 25 meters across. After a few miles the passage dead ended at a small garage door. Ricky turned to Reaper. "Hey, how are we gonna get in Purgatory without the garage door opener?"

"Aw Rick seriously I have to get out of the car? Man....."Reaper sighed opening the ca door he stepped out and walked to the door. He knocked hard in several different places. Then a swift hit to the center. He turned back and sat in the car. The door rose slowly revealing just a part of their sanctum. It was dimly lit and the only thing visible was the parking spot for their ride. They pulled in, Reaper helped Angela out of the car he held her up in on his left side." You know Ricky one of these days well have to finish the lift system for the car, it'll be awesome!" He laughed as he flipped several switches on a panel near the entrance and one by lights began to buzz and hum. Slowly Purgatory was revealed to be a well kept boiler room with basic cable, Three computers built from various parts, Three large chalk boards with strange jibberish written upon them in Reaper's and an unknown second handwriting. The floor was littered with pizza boxes, tools, and assorted crates all in all it gave a very welcoming sense about the place. "Sow hat do you think?" Reaper asked Angela pulling down his gas mask,"Oz! oh Oz where you at?" He turned looking around for a chair to set her down,"Rick clean of a chair for our guest, and not the one with my papers in it get Danny's chair."
Ricky grabbed a plain looking chair room a desk and set it down for Angela. She sat and her mouth gaped open as she looked at the strange sanctum. A cold chill blew in from one side of the room and a transparent man wearing a bowler hat and a black suit with a grey overcoat walked toward the three. "Victor my boy, welcome back. Ah, you brought a fine looking young lady with you." He took his hat off for her and placed it back on his head. "Detective Oswald Pennyroyal at your service young lady, but you can call me Oz."
Angela looked at him with wide eyes. "Are...you a ghost?"

Reaper's face showed a devilish grin,"Oh yeah he's dead, He haunts this place just turned out he's a detective, the best.....our good luck I suppose." He removed his gloves and went to the chalk board. He erased a phrase and wrote down Carlyle in all capitals and underlined it scratching his head he turned around," Don't be shy Angela make yourself at home." Rick see if you can't find another phone to get ahold of Danny, have him get over here quick we've got a power outbreak in the heart of the city that is more important than his latest episode of self loathing. Oz? How long ago was it when I met Dr. Carlyle?"

"Two years wasn't it? During that hospital incident before you met Ricky." Oz replied.
"I'm going to head upstairs and use the hotel's phone." Ricky said after throwing some pants and a sweat shirt over his body suit.
Angela began playing with various things on Reapers desk.

There was a rapping on the metal door at the front of the warehouse that JJ and his proposed team sat in. At the entrance stood Blake in one of his causal suits, his amusement filling his two different colored eyes.

He paused for a moment before he said in his thick Irish/Scottish accent, "When you're done with your little play group, I have business to discuss with you outside."

He turned and walked out the door as he said, "And you might want to find new help, they were a bit to pushy for their own good."
JJ stood straight and smiled at the group. "Why don't you think it over. I have to take care of this situation." With that he strolled over to the door and exited. Seeing Blake he pulled out a cigarette. "I'm suprised they let you in the gate after the last time you were here. Got a light?" He said snidely.

Fuze gritted his teeth, I want to kill the man who just dropped by, he's slowing or progress, the more time I spend here the longer it takes for me to kill those two. "Names people we need a name, I don't fancy the title Crack Team of Specialist so I suggest we get to work just shout em out if you have a name-" and before he could finish a name flood began

"Syren plus three, Super villains, fearsome four, fantastic four, quads of horror, filthy animals, Super sexy, Mayhem and chaos, Death bringers, ABBA!" She continued on with out pause
"Brothers of chaos, Silent destruction, Twisted executioners, Auntie heroes." Cold Slap said as he takes a puff of his cigar. "Maybe even the Angels of death, ******** should I know."
"I say why try to rehash and circumvent?
Go with Murderous Masters of Malicious Malcontent."

Stifle replied with obvious intentions.

Fuzee placed a hand over his eyes and rubbed them sighing," Kid I like where you're going" he pointed to Stifle then across the table to Syren" You, you're ******** done. Honestly some of those were down right ridiculous. And Jude...... I'll come back to you. And You" He pointed to Blake" 'Hoursemen' what makes you think you can be involed in this operation?" He crossed his arms and stared at him" What are you a last minute addition?"
