Julian continued to write the first four letters of the alphabet over and over. He felt silly doing it, but he knew he would feel less silly at restaurants from now on.

She looked at it. "Alright, much better." After teaching him all the different sounds of the alphabet, when to use capital letters and such, she went to writing sentences. "Kid, now I'll right down a word and you try to read it, k?"

Zai wrote down a few random words and showed it to him. The paper read, Apple, Because, Cat, Dear, Eat.

Julian slowly stammered out the words. Having a lout of trouble on because because it was so long and because of the silent e and he had trouble on dear because of the a and e against each other
