Continuation of my last post here.))
William was set unceremoniously on his knees before the main desk in the room. Several binding magics had been used on him in the event that the strange transformation happened again. The three-man one-woman guard stood awaiting their Captain. The woman sent off a Hellbutterfly to her Captain that said,
"Caught intruder of Seireitei. Holding him in your office. He can shift forms."William's eyes slowly opened while his consciousness awoke from its slumber.
"Ugh my head....what the?!" He fell over onto his face from where he had been kneeling. His arms had been bound and his legs had been held by his captors. Two sets of hands grabbed his haori and jerked him back up onto his knees.
"Hey! Who the hell are you? What's going on here? Wait a minute! Y-you're that girl from the bar. Why am I bound? What right do you have to do this to me?!""As a Shinigami, I have the right to arrest intruders. You are an intruder, so I was permitted, nay, required to arrest you by law. You are bound because you are an intruder." The girl had circled around him a few times while talking and took a break to contemplate a few things.
"Any further questions will be ignored but know that my Captain will be here soon to interrogate you. You could, of course, tell me how you managed to infiltrate Seireitei let alone our squad barracks. That would make things mu-""I-I didn't infiltrate anywhere. I walked right in. The big guy just stood aside and a door opened in the gate for me. Then I just walked into the pristine city here. After that I just walked along until I smelled some food; I was hungry, you see, and I had simply followed my instincts." He paused for a moment to catch his breath from the rushed answer,
"Then I just walked right past two guards at the area gate without any problems before entering the bar to have some food. The bar tender didn't charge me for the food or drink at all. Anything else you want to know?""Well this will make it easy," she said at his honesty and straightforwardness. She thought for a moment before she took a chair and sat in it in front of him,
"Who are you?""I told you, my name's William, William Stark." His tail was twitching back and forth from irritation. He became even more irritated when he noticed his tail's behavior.
The girl took a few slips of paper from a nearby stack of supplies and began writing down what he said,
"William...Stark. Got it, now why are you here? What is your goal for infiltrating Seireitei? How did you get those clothes and the swords we can't remove?"William looked straight at the girl with just as much annoyance as he had looked at his tail with only a moment ago,
"Weren't you listening to me in the bar? I think I died and got reborn or something here. I had these clothes on when I got here and the swords were there as well. I didn't mean to infiltrate this place; I just walked in and followed my instincts."She continued to make notes on her papers while he talked,
"I see, and have you had much training with infiltration? How many years did you train? Who taught you your skills?" William looked at her in disbelief but said nothing. She continued,
"Please answer the questions, William. You will make both my job and your life much easier."William sighed,
"I refuse to speak with someone who does not listen to me. I answered your questions and now you simply ask me them again; the cross examining or trick questions don't work on me unless I want them to. Maybe your Captain has more intelligence and is somewhat more civil than binding me and interrogating me with repeated questions."The girl smiled before she smacked him across the face, the blow sent him to the floor at her feet.
"I could kill you in a heartbeat, worm, but as it stands, I do not wish to deal with you anymore. You are a Shinigami, that is for certain and the fact that you know nothing about us helps even more. I will have to get approval later from our Captain, but I don't think she will mind the new addition." She waved her hand and William felt himself free of the strange restraints that had been on him.
"You will become part of our Squad. I'll have you tested to see if you're competent enough to skip combat training. Teaching you Kidou shouldn't be too difficult for us to handle either, so you may stay. Welcome to Squad 10."William stared at her for several moments while his mind tried to understand exactly what had just happened.
"Wait....what? First you're eager to bind me and imprison me because of what you deemed i did was infiltration but now you're letting me join you? Is it just me or does that sound really, really strange?"She smiled before she turned to leave,
"You are far too weak to be a threat to anyone here. Plus you were telling the truth while answering my questions. Here's some advice for being in my presence: don't lie around me, for I'll know when you do." With that, she left the office and the two guards went with her.
William simply stared after her,
"I hope she's a very fine example of the abnormal here, 'cause I doubt I could stand being here if everyone's like that." He stood and started to leave the office after the girl. He'd figure things out eventually, but for now he needed a strong drink.
