Raffh eyes closed and a rumbling purr started. "This feels..nice," he said lamely but didn't move to content. His stomach rumbled suddenly. "I'm hungy though."

"Let's keep moving, then." There was plenty of time to cuddle. All the time in the world.

Raffh opened his eyes slowly. "Yeah, we should keep moving." He moved back slowly, rubbing at the back of his neck.

botticelliangel Javert grunted, putting his hat back on the hook by the door, crossing his arms over his chest. He didn't like the look of this man, and he didn't like that he was in the company of Bastien. But they were...packleaders. Athourity. Although that didn't mean he would be pleasent, it did mean that he felt it necessary to at least listen to the man, instead of brushing right past him as he would have normally. "I am." He answered brusquely, and then waited. Hatless? A gesture of deference, perhaps - or an indication of permission to converse. Regardless, something positive. "Excellent," he purred, "I had so hoped to catch you before you went gallivanting off on another one of your patrols. May I--" caught himself, glanced at Bastien, "We come in?"

Demetrius allowed Raffh enough room to move backward, but kept his arm wrapped around the cat, murring softly to him as they set out.
Javert stood there for a few moments, regarding Atticus with a displeased look. However, it was obvious there was a struggle going on, with the fact that Atticus not only represented authority in general, but that the man was his specfic authority figure, given that the other was a coon and...his marked dislike for anyone who was connected to the Anthropomorph shop. In the end, respect for authority amazingly won out, and he stepped to one side with a curt nod.
...>> Oh joy. This was gonna be fun.

The soft murring kept his relax as they left. He was not big on crowds and this was the first time he had left a familair enviroment. He smiled slightly. "Would this be a good time to tell you crowds making me nervouse?"

Lips pressed together in something bordering on a smile but more of... mere satisfaction, Atticus abandoned all pretention at gliding movements and walked simply into the other coon's room. His gaze wandered, taking in whatever had been made of the apartment that might help define its inhabitant.
Regardless of what he might begin to understand, there was the question of how to engage Javert... Standing, sitting, interview or interrogation. No, the latter would be decidedly unfriendly and likely ineffectual. "Tell me," he said eventually, eyes still taking in the surroundings without settling on either of the other two, "What do you make of this place, Javert?"

Javert's apartment went a very long way in defining exactly who the Inspector was. It was...bleak. Unwelcoming. There were two highbacked wooden chairs in front of the fireplace in the living room. The kitchen, if one looked, would have just barely enough food for the coon to get along for a day or two more.
There were no paintings, no decoration at all. On the mantle was a Bible and a few more books.
The man himself scowled, and then shook his head. "Lawless." He growled out. "In this very building, there resides two murderers and a whore. No one keeps an eye on them, they are allowed to do just as they please."
Bastien frowned. It was...true. Chiron and Demetrius had killed in their past life, and they were...honestly kind of freaky, just because of the potential they had, especially the younger brother. But they had always been watched. As for the "whore"...well. ._. He wasn't doing any harm.
"...It's good to know." Demetrius hugged the cat closer to him. "It will be alright." He soothed as he opened the large glass door, passing outside.

Raffh shank back against Demetrius as they stepped outside, trying to adjust to the heat. Was it always this warm here? The spring had been like summer and summer he had spent confind to his room hiding from the harsh glare in a silent daze of disobedince. He snuggled against the coon once, smelling him remebering the body order that clang to him for reassurance.
"Is it always this hot out during this season?" He muttered confused at what season was it? Fall was not known to his people.

However much he really hadn't intended to become wrapped up in any sort of genuine leadership responsibilities in the course of this visit, Javert's declaration bore serious implications. Not the mention of 'whore', no - for all Atticus knew the strange coon might just be referring to a particularly promiscuous Anthropomorph and made certain assumptions. Besides which, sex shouldn't be a reason to punish someone.
Murder, on the other hand... Hopefully this was a delusion on Javert's part, but even if it was, what might've convinced him of such a fact? For while... the apartment suggested exactly the opposite of the kind of fellow who went on flights of fancy, Javert did seem to have certain presuppositions about the world - which was why he was here in the first place, of course.
Only one way to find out the truth here, bring in the third party and second opinion, "Bastien," Atticus said in a low, questioning tone as he turned to look at his peer in consternation, "What is this about 'murder'?"

Bastien sighed, rubbing a little at one of his temples. "Chiron and Demetrius. Brothers. Also - lucky for you - in your pack. It's...true, although the circumstances are a little less cut-and-dry. They're...similar in a way to Javert here"
A growl from the Inspector at even being compared to those criminals.
"In that they were brought back by our own personal minor demon. They've already died once for what they did, but I've certainly been keeping a watch on them since I got here. At the moment, they seem far too preoccupied with a mutual lover to cause much mischeif or damage. Although...I get the feeling that under the wrong circumstances, they could both be extremely volatile. They haven't done anything at all wrong since they've been here, however."
"It's the end of summer. It should cool down fairly soon." Demetrius assured him.

Even so... well, not even 'even so' - the implications of this entire debacle were a little much for Atticus to handle. Anthropomorphs arriving from other worlds... not unheard of, but not exactly common. And what did one do with former criminals? It wasn't as if their existence here should automatically grant them a second chance!
"They ought to be spoken to, nevertheless," Atticus said surely, a little under his breath and mostly for the benefit of himself than either of the other two present. Then, a half shake of the head that left him looking towards Javert with a frown before turning his head back to Bastien, "Is this demon making a hobby out of resurrection? I ask for sheer curiosity's sake, lest there's something else I ought to know about the process."

"One of the ressurections was in fact, a request. The other was a personal decision. In any event, he hasn't done it again in quite a while." Bastien assured him. He didn't, however, disagree with the notion of talking to the two. It could get a little prickly, but the angel figured that his fellow packleader could hold his own in a fight, if one insued.

"Winter is not coming, wrong feeling..” he trailed off moving away from Demetrius, ears flickering in frustration. The environment he was in felt wrong, strange even. He expected it to be warmer, it had been pleasant though the winter and the start of this summer. He had been under house arrest most of the summer and now half starved, away from his twin, and in a new setting he was feeling a bit stressed. He rubbed his arm thinking. “Umm, I apologize for any moodiness before hand; I’m going to be slow to adjust,” he explained looking out.
He had wanted out of his brother care but he hadn’t expected to feel out of place. Quite foreign in an alien land, he chuckled at himself. This was what he wanted and everything was forgotten around Chiron. It was just around Demetrius he felt more self-conscious for some odd reason. “I would like to walk by myself if you would just lead?”

"Regardless..." Atticus said quickly, though the impact of the suddeness wore off when the words trailed away, "It's perturbing this hasn't come to light before," a slight snort followed by the curling smile. They really hadn't been doing their jobs.
"I do apologize, Javert," he addressed his fellow coon with a certain ruefulness, glancing towards the man again, "This meeting was intended for your benefit, not the illumination of unseemly activities."
